Stayed 3 nights, not the best Comfort Inn I've stayed in--frankly, I've stayed in better "motels".
Phone in room not working - no way to call front desk via cell, so I had to walk down multiple times - for various issues. Rooms were clean, beds made-- housekeeping is the only reason this place gets any stars.
No pets allowed is BS. Barking dog in room across from us - though he wasn't as annoying as the jackasses that let their kids run up and down the hall upstairs, over our room--well into the wee hours of the morning.
Television screwed - none of the channels matched the guide, picture was fuzzy the entire time we were there. Also, if you wanted to watch HBO, you had to turn the volume to 93, just to barely hear it. Walked to front desk (quite a workout, as it's a LONG hotel), she assured me she'd call maintenance. After waiting hours, had to go back to front desk (PHONE IN ROOM NOT WORKING - AND SHE WAS TOO LAZY TO WALK ALL THAT WAY AND TELL US - "no maintenance tonight"). Maintenance came next day, but "because there were no batteries in remote", she struggled to fix the TV. When she "channel searched via analog find", to fix what was clearly a cable issue, and displayed to me that smoke breaks took priority over fixing the TV, I left the room, before I got angry enough to lose my shit. TV NEVER FIXED BTW.
Meeting space is HUGE, though no business in their right mind would place employees here--dining room is small, because of this--not enough room to sit in for breakfast, if there's more than 12 guests at the hotel, you're eating in your room--which has no tables. There's no sink in the room, other than bathroom sink--which is weird, considering there's a fridge, and microwave. There is one vending machine in front, drinks only, no snacks. There is no pantry at front desk (no advils/toiletries, etc). The issue with that being, the hotel is surrounded by a high traffic road, with a singular access point. Trekking to gas station, not an easy option. Westbound hotel access only--so if you decided to get in car to visit the gas station, you had to turn right at a light, then U-turn, visit station, then left, hit another light, then another U-turn, to get back to hotel access. Over the highway ramp was another gas station, same sitch - only one less u-turn and another wait at a left-arrow light.
At checkout I was asked if I enjoyed my stay. I had to explain, not really, and why. Front desk clerk assured my manager would call, to adjust bill. No call. I think they charged me the $84 rate they're so proud of, for Saturday night, to make up for the crap-stay? Still feel I paid too much, considering the complete lack of amenities.
As I said, I've stayed in better "motels".
Interesting note - there's no way to review this hotel at the corporate website, because the site won't recognize confirmation numbers. Clever move on the manager's part. read more
