This place gets a negative 5 Stars for what I just physically endured after being awakened by a crawly something while in bed that ended up being the roach in the pic. UGH!!! I hate roaches!! Now, I can't get back in bed, I'm tired, I'm feelin like crawlies are all over me... I moved all the furniture to see if it brought friends and discovered open food wrappers behind the nightstand, food crumbles under the sofa. Definitely lacking in cleanliness. Food attracts bugs and bugs detract ME. Will NOT be back

    White stuff on the carpet.

The BS "covid" excuses to ??? The room was filthy. The room spelled because of carpet freshener put behind the bed. There was trash behind the beds, tables & by the air conditioning unit. The bathroom sink had built up scum around the faucet. Check out time on reservation & policy was 12:00pm but I was made to leave at 11:00am "covid". Was "covid" going to attack me at 12 because it knows the difference between 11am & 12 pm. Filthy, smelly, absolutely no extra towels, paid to check out at noon but forced to leave at 11am. Bait & Switch! This is the first time in my 50 some years that I've ever told staff how absolutely filthy the room was. And no one blinked an eye.

Let me pretend I've got some bath bubbles going on in peace, you mother fuckers.

Hotel was great! Staff was friendly! Baton Rouge shut down all the bridges that led to Texas and we got trapped in traffic for about 12 hours! Pretty gnarly, huh? I asked a cop what we should do and he was like "Psh. Get a hotel room." And we were like nah it'll pass. Guess what? It didn't. BECAUSE IT SLEETED IN LOUISIANA. Those people literally don't ever have to deal with it. Which got me thinking: Is it time for me to start thinking about moving to Louisiana? Everyone seems pretty nice. Just not very good at dumping salt on anything but COUNTRY FRIED STEAK. I took a bath in my underwear so the other guys could use the toilet and they just ended up hanging out with me in there. I tried to find Epsom salt at a nearby Trader Joe's but they only had lavender bath mix so I just did some shots and went to bed. Not before I annoyed the shit out of Jack by learning how to recreate that incredible synth in "Send it up" by Kanye. There's really not a lot you can do with the software synths to make it as cool/varied but by automating a triangle wave and an additive octave oscillator to have the attack vary by an octave in the first millisecond or two in the attack I got a similar effect. Massive worked out great for it. Shit sounds straight up like a pitch modded air horn, though. God I love air horns. I should just play one for my band. Pretty much the same effect of what I got going on now. But yeah, definitely put more air horn in your music. What we've been doing lately is having our TM plug the headphone line of his iPhone into the front of house and whenever kids start moshing all ignorant he starts hitting the air horn with an app he got. Rules.

This is the friendliest staff I've ever encountered! Anytime I come here I'm greeted with the utmost respect and appreciation! I get a goodie bag for being a choice rewards member (none of the other choice hotels have ever given me anything.) I request the 3rd floor for the ice and vending machine and request to be away from the elevator. You can tell the building is a little outdated but they have done some updates. As long as it looks and smells clean, I'm good! The beds are comfy, the breakfast is decent and the price is cheap. I usually pay $70 for a room with a living room area and a king bed. I stay at this hotel for the location because I like going downtown or to L'auberge casino. Apparently people crowd this hotel for Lsu home games so prices may double!

This is the blood spot that was left after my mother squashed the damn bedbug

We are one family of the many thousands that have come through Louisiana to be able to attend and participate in the 2025 USBC Open Championships, a nationwide bowling tournament. She is so sweet and so polite. We asked her for many food recommendations, and all of the spots that she named were phenomenal. Now, we are not from here. So, maybe our idea of what is phenomenal to us may not be the same for others. But I can guarantee you one thing, The food places that were suggested to us not only served great food, but also they served up GR8 service. Everybody's attitudes were so enthusiastic and positive. Not to mention, we are in the south, everyone was so polite. There really is such a thing still as southern comfort and southern hospitality. We received both by staying here, at this hotel. This hotel was definitely clean and comfortable, well lit, and not super modern, but definitely not at all close to being outdated. I like that the pool area is open fairly late into the day and that towels and things are removed constantly. The restroom and icemaker areas are clean and kept that way all throughout the day and evening. The breakfast varies day-to-day. For example, yesterday there were waffles and breakfast sandwiches, eggs, bacon, sausage, patties, cereal, bagels, and other bread items available in addition to four or five may be different types of milk, and two kinds of yogurt. And today, many of the same items were offered along with biscuits and gravy. Nothing about this hotel has disappointed us one bit. All of the appliances in our room are in working condition. Dish, dishwashing detergent and sponges, coffee, utensils, some basic flatware, and other dishes of various types are available. There's also a long listing of different appliances and things that are available to be borrowed from the front desk. The one that really shocked us was a rice cooker. Room rates were definitely reasonable. And even more so now that I've seen the hotel, the room that we were given, all the things. You definitely get what you pay for. I have stayed in rooms that have costed four or five even seven times more than what I paid for this one and in comparison, while this one may not seem as fancy, it definitely offered more to me and was more valuable to me because I had all the things I needed to keep my family comfortable during this trip. Oh, and did I mention? Parking here is absolutely free. The hotel is very close to the freeway on ramp as well. That makes it very nice, on and off the freeway as we please very easily. Ever you were looking for a hotel in Baton Rouge I would stay here again, without question or hesitation !

The hotel itself is clean and well kept, and the rooms are comfortable. Beds were solid and the room felt fresh. Valet was fast and efficient, and Aaron deserves a shoutout because he was consistently on point. Big plus that the hotel is dog friendly. We had our two small dogs with us and every staff member we interacted with was welcoming and relaxed about it. Having a restaurant and bar on site is also convenient, especially after a long day. The downsides are mostly about amenities. Breakfast was underwhelming. Limited options, and it did not even open at 6:30 a.m., which is frustrating if you are up early. We ended up going to another hotel just to get Starbucks. The gym is also small. It was clean, but missing basic weights, so it is not great if you actually want a real workout. Overall, not a bad stay. Friendly people, clean and comfortable rooms, and smooth valet service made it easy. The breakfast situation was the biggest miss, and the gym could use an upgrade. If they fixed the morning food options, this would be an easy recommendation.

I checked in late which was no problem at all, but the man was so nice and welcoming. The room was very eclectic and the decor was perfect. I am a real book worm so having the books there was a really nice touch, I read the summaries of all of them. The location is perfect, right in the heart of downtown. I wish I was staying longer, I would've checked out the bar area. Overall a 10/10, definitely stay here if you're in the area.
