After two months we finally got an instructor only to find out they cannot due the schedule we originally planned 2 days before the lesson. Still no idea where to pay, where to show up, or anything to give us some information. None of the staff is helpful, they cannot communicate well, and are full of excuses. If you are looking for Music lessons for your child, go somewhere with better communication.

My kiddo has gone to few of these classes and has been fairly happy with the experience. He's…read morelearned about aerodynamics, robotics and computer games. His enjoyment level is entirely dependent on the instructor which varies widely. Even when we start the program sometimes the teacher changes .. to someone less qualified (at least in our experience). The class seems to build on the topic so by the end of the week th there is a contest or a way to show off the final product which makes it fun for the kid. They get to go through all the stages from concept to design to development to using the final product.

StitchWorks is a nonprofit offering sewing classes and offering contract production services for…read moregarments as well as functional textile pieces. They have had previous locations, but relocated to the Stutz campus in 2024 and accordingly are close to other creative companies and some food and beverage spots. I came for their Industrial Sewing Skills 101 class. They offer a few classes each month and they usually sell out within a few days of being posted because the class sizes are small based on the number of stations. In addition to the 101 class, they offer an alterations basics class, and several upcycling focused classes. The 101 class is about 4-4.5 hours and costs $75. All materials are provided. They occasionally offer youth classes and more in-depth apprenticeship focused programs. The space has large windows offering lots of natural light. The door is on the north west of the "south Stutz" building on 10th Street. There is a combination of free street paring and metered parking nearby. In addition to their classes, they can do small batch production for fashion companies or companies that make functional pieces like tents, lawn chairs, etc. They also offer some prototyping support for clients looking to make custom textile pieces.
