I would visit here every now and then. The Cauthen Café is a Starbucks located in the Cauthen Media Center in the heart of campus which serves a full line of Starbucks expresso drinks, pastries, sandwiches and salads. I think this is pretty cool. I've had an opportunity to try them twice. The campus is clean, nice and surrounded by nature. There are two residences that had refused to sell their home/land to the university so they built around them. I believe the coolest part of that is they do not have any other residential neighborhoods LOL! Both houses are literally on the campus. Overall, this is a beautiful campus. I enjoyed my time visiting a few times.

The staff was extremely friendly and were thorough in their procedure process. The testing center was calm and relaxing. Having taken multiple exams at various locations for my job, this is by far one of the nicest. The testing center is in a separate room with each desks sectioned off like a cubical. The computer appear to be newer. One of the best things about the testing center is that they offer some noise cancelling headphones to muffle any noise. As long as New Horizons offers the certifications that I need to take, it will be my go to testing facility when in Indy.

Now I'm a math whiz - although my word problem, intermediate algebra, & calculus days are long forgotten. This location has just changed ownership, but it was great from the startup. After almost 20 years of working there, the previous owners were a wonderful couple who definitely showed passion in teaching - not based on business aspect. Under new management, the new owner is keeping Kumon's previous model. He is very organized and provides good feedback to students and parents as well. He tailors his/her own curriculum based on a student's achievement. They have a wonderful early learning teaching assistants as well as math & reading staff who take pride in grading material and helping students with any questions they may have. Because this tutoring center is based on self-motivation, students must work try to work independently to understand concepts. The instructor will guide them if they cannot figure out the problem. From what I understand, prospective parents schedule an appointment with the instructor take their child(ren) in for a free placement test to evaluate their child(ren)'s understanding. From there, if the parent decides to enroll their child(ren), they will need to register their child(ren). I'm not sure what the pricing is now (due to inflation), but I'm estimating around $95/mo per subject. I don't have any kids yet, but I would trust this instructor to tutor my child - perhaps in the future so they can be ahead in school like I was!

Had the absolute worst experience ever and it wasn't because of the service provided by the lovely Azara, it was because of Unique's deplorable attitude. Never gave her the task of managing the check-in desk if she's not going to be forthcoming, honest, and humble enough to say when she's wrong. Then to have the gall to be talk back and be sassy as if she didn't give me the wrong instructions. I arrive at 1:13 she tells me it's a wait, I said okay will you call me? She says yes. I don't receive a call as I'm waiting in my car so I go back on at 1:56.... She's asking where I was, I said you said you would call. She said yes, call you up. So why have my phone number and why not be explicit regarding the full waiting room? Absolutely horrible customer service and her skills didn't look to be developing properly from what I saw. Zero stars for her.

After waiting for two weeks for my appointment, today I was refused service at this location because the day shift instructor claimed they "couldn't find" my latest formula in their computer system -- so I commented that this was "b.s". Initially, I was told the last time I was there was in 2024!! Then it changed to 2025. When I asked to speak to management about how night shift could find my most recent records both the front desk person and instructor threw up their hands and said that "they were day shift and I needed to speak to the night shift". Both shifts use the same computer system...so no rational explanation was given nor was any attempt made to determine if the last formula on file was the correct one. A note was put into my file that I am permanently banned from this location for using profanity (saying b.s). Avoid this place like the plague. Would give -5 stars if that was an option.
