As a former student at Fortis College, I can honestly say that one of the biggest reasons I am looking to return is because of my experience with Mr. Chad as my HVAC instructor. He is truly one of the best teachers I've ever had, both inside and outside of the classroom. Mr. Chad has a gift for making HVAC concepts clear and easy to understand. He takes the time to ensure that every student, no matter their background or learning pace, is able to keep up and feel confident in the material. He doesn't just teach he invests in his students' growth and success, and that's something that really stood out to me during my time at Fortis. What I respect most about Mr. Chad is his character. He is knowledgeable and respectful of all cultures, and he also has a deep understanding of African American history and culture. That awareness, combined with his fairness and integrity, makes the classroom a welcoming place for everyone. I never once felt judged or overlooked he treats every student with the same level of respect and encouragement. On top of his knowledge and professionalism, Mr. Chad is approachable, easygoing, and very easy to get along with. He creates an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and reaching out for help. He will go the extra mile, whether it's staying after class, offering advice, or simply motivating you to push forward when things get tough. He's a stand up guy who will never lead you in the wrong direction. Because of the foundation he gave me, I feel confident about returning to Fortis to continue my education. I know that with Mr. Chad as an instructor, I'll be supported, challenged, and guided in the right way. Fortis College is fortunate to have him, and I am grateful for the opportunity I had to learn from him and excited for the chance to do so again. read more

I was an ADN student that was returning to complete the program. I was told that I had a $25.00 credit and didn't owe anything to the VA had paid all but almost $10,000 that needed to be paid before returning. While actively in school I was told it was $ 1,000 that I needed to pay out of pocket pocketed which I paid. I requested a copy of the promise to pay that I signed only to receive doctored ledgers of what was supposedly paid by the VA. I've left messages for corporate to contact me only to get ghosted. Ms Wells was very rude and unprofessional and is not there to assist the students. I'm very disappointed in how they have handled me during this time. read more

I walked into Fortis College with questions about two of their programs. The two were Nursing & their Medical Assistant Program. I walked out of Fortis College 11/04/21 that very day registered in their Medical Assistant Program. I finally made my decision. I'm so excited to start my course. I've been thinking why I waited this long? I've been told better late than never. Everyone at Fortis College was very informative and patient with me, I was puzzled at first with making a decision on what and when to start school. I am just coming back from what I thought would be an informative meeting about the Nursing program. The lady rep of the nursing program was EXTREMELY rude and thought she had all the answers! I was brought there under false pretenses and flat out wrong information! First impressions are everything to me and by the way I was treated as if I was wasting their time, I would definitely look into other avenues for a Nursing School! read more

Now Accredited by ACEN, Fortis has been a good school to go to for nursing. They have made huge improvements!!! Every college is different to every individual, you get out what you put in!! read more

I REPEAT. DO NOT GO TO THIS SCHOOL. I was one of the ones who read the reviews and figured that "If a student wants to learn and follow the rules of learning, anything is possible and they cannot fail" but this school is beyond repair and I hope the Education Department of Indianapolis closes it soon. The teachers are horrible and talk about students and the other teachers. It has conditional accreditation so NO OTHER SCHOOL can take your credits for transfer and they wouldn't even take my credits from Indiana University of all places. People are not passing the NCLEX. I'm the type who's okay with teaching themselves and not cheating because this is the career I wish to go into and truly enjoy helping people but it was horrible. The online Classes are a waste, and the tuition WHICH IS NOT EXPLAINED IN FULL DETAIL! is expensive. I was about to start my 3rd term and was already $10,000 in debt. YOU ARE BETTER AT GOING TO A COMMUNITY COLLEGE LIKE IVYTECH. I was fooled because so many people had graduated from this school that I know but they can only WORK AT CERTAIN PLACES AND NOT EVEN IN GOOD HOSPITALS. Most of the students are incompetent and it is a complete cheating fest. I don't know how these people are learning anything at all. It's a waste of time and I normally do not do reviews but I had to help someone else decide because they have taken my money and wasted my time. When you send emails to anyone in their office, they do not respond until you take it up with someone higher like corporate. PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF SOME HEARTACHE AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. I JUST WANT TO SPREAD THE MESSAGE. I DONT CARE HOW smart you are. Imagine passing the NCLEX and not being able to get a good job because you got a degree from somewhere that is not completely accredited and trusted in the medical world. read more

PLEASE READ I…read moregraduated from the electrical program with a 3.97 GPA and 94% attendance, but my overall experience was very disappointing. Upper management was unprofessional and disorganized, and for the amount they charge, the quality should be much higher. Teachers were treated poorly, which caused several of the best instructors to leave during my time there. The hands-on training was weak and poorly managed. Fortunately, I had previous experience and often ended up helping other students with lab work. We were chronically short on teachers, which hurt the quality of instruction even more. At one point, a new instructor with no background in motors or PLCs was assigned to teach that class on his very first day. It was clear that management had set him--and us--up for failure. Overall, this program needs serious improvement in management, staffing, and hands-on training before it can justify its cost. The only positive aspect of my experience at this school was the career services team and the few teachers who genuinely cared about their students. Everything else in this review reflects my overall experience during the entire program. There are much better options out there if you or your child is interested in getting into the electrical field. ABC and IEC apprenticeship programs are generally a much smarter route if you want to become an electrician, since they combine paid on-the-job training with structured classroom instruction and lead toward journeyman status. If you're considering this school for other trades besides electrical, I'd still be very cautious and find a different school

Both of those visits were with two second semester ladies. Jordyn was pretty good with her limited experience. A 50-minute massage for $30 and a 60-minute facial for $45 is hard to beat, especially since they use Dermalogica products, so you're still getting high-end quality. I've gotten at least ten full facials and one massage. The facials have all been great, but the massage was pretty underwhelming. You just have to remember the pricing is low because they're students and still learning. Let me reiterate they still do a great job. I recommend this place to everyone.

The staff was extremely friendly and were thorough in their procedure process. The testing center was calm and relaxing. Having taken multiple exams at various locations for my job, this is by far one of the nicest. The testing center is in a separate room with each desks sectioned off like a cubical. The computer appear to be newer. One of the best things about the testing center is that they offer some noise cancelling headphones to muffle any noise. As long as New Horizons offers the certifications that I need to take, it will be my go to testing facility when in Indy.

I love how they allow our children to read their choice of books during drop everything and read time, allow plenty of outside recess and have quests where they work together to solve real world problems. During core skill time they work on reading, writing and arithmetic. Each of our kids have excelled by working at their own levels, setting goals and achieving them! One of our children is Dyslexic and Acton has been the perfect environment to allow him to work using his strengths while still working on individualized core skills. Our daughter loves "writer's workshop" where she gets to write to a real audience by writing letters, reviews and publish books. They learn History through Story of the World which is fascinating to our whole family. We also enjoyed the Acton Business Fair where children become entrepreneurs and get to sell their products to the community. So much learning happened during that project! Acton instills in children that they are "heroes" on their own journey and heroes face hard times and work to overcome them. Acton is changing the face of education and we are so blessed that we get to be a part of this community of young heroes!

So far my experience with Fortis has been great. I love the way that my instructor teaches, uses real life examples and allows us to be hands on which is very beneficial with me being in the MA (medical assistant) program. I feel as though I am retaining all of the vital information needed to be successful in my career so far. My experience at Fortis College was great. The teachers were helpful, patient, and made sure we understood everything. The hands-on training helped me feel ready to work in a real medical office. I learned how to take vitals, give injections, do paperwork, and talk to patients in a kind and professional way. All this school cares about it getting there money and there graduation rate they don't care about there students to much im currently a student here and although they have teachers of color they don't treat colored students the same this school is full of drama not only wit the student but also with staff they have no order and u would thing this school just opened up but it's just chaotic in that way. read more

I'm currently in school here for medical assisting and I can say I love it so far,its been very hands on and I'm a visual learner and it helps me understand what I'm learning more. every Wednesday there's a food pantry and they leave out fresh produce and dairy products for us to take home if needed. I enjoy going to school here and would more then likely recommend someone else to attend 10/10 read more

If your deciding to come to fortis MA program do it !! From the start my experience was great . Onboarding proc was quick and easy , everyone was very detail oriented . The instructors are very goof at listening especially Ms.Nai she is a great teacher . She does one on ones if you don't understand , very detailed and explains everything to the core.
