Most institutions, if they pay anything, it's about 0.5%-1%. Sooo ... this is another reason to bank with Lake Michigan Credit Union. You will be surprised at how much you can earn from month to month. I don't regret transferring my account to Lake Michigan Credit Union.

I was told by someone in authority at Wayne County that I could opt out of the 457 Plan, and transfer my assets to an IRA. I chose Charles Schwab - Great Choice! Although Prudential cheated me as I left by selling my positions w/o my permission, Schwab has proved to provide the perfect choice for me, given my Investment strategies, and level of knowledge. Now, I use nothing but ETF's. In 2022, I broke even, when the S&P was down almost 20%, and the SH inverse S&P ETF was my biggest profit-maker! As I approach my 75th Birthday, I've achieved a 13X, that is, multiplied my NAV by 13 times, from its low in March of2009! Never could have done that with either of the prior 2 firms. She kept counting more than what I gave her and she would get confused with everything I said, I actually kinda wanted to see another teller. But I bit my lip and dealt with her. After I did my usual banking, I asked her a question about something I was having trouble with and she sent me to speak with Matt in his office. I was excited to speak with someone else, but once I met Matt, I would have never wrote a poor review about this branch, till I met Matt. I would have been fine with just the woman and I don't know what his issue was, but Matt was just weirdly rude to me. He did solve my problem with my card, so I'll give him that, but for some reason, he just kept belittling me and talking down to me. I have no idea why, but he's the reason I wanted to write a poor review. Since this branch is close to my work, I'll probably be back once in a great while, if I really need to. But I won't need to do anything but deposit funds, and if I do, I'll go somewhere else. And if I need to see a teller here, I'll go to the cute white woman with the european accent, because I always thought she was a sweetheart and I usually deal with her when I come here. Deposited a check for the business while we were here as well. Avery took care of us at the window.
