I moved 12 years ago and kept the account and that has been a difficult thing to do - I Used to love CCCU but unfortunately I have had too many issues as of late. Plus they lie - they say during their 'on hold music' are you having trouble paying your loan call us and we can help - they didn't help me at all - I was calling to be proactive about a personal loan I have with them and they bounced me around to a couple people who were incompetent and who wanted me to grovel making me feel lousy and then had nothing creative to offer - I kept throwing out ideas - nope no help. I have got YEARS of a banking track record and good payment record with them - they did not care. It did not matter. None of that mattered - hmmm Then they're like "is there anything else I can help you with today?" - I'm like you haven't helped me at all! I was out of the country last May and put a travel alert on my debit card and cc saying I would be out of the country and noticed I had two charges from Home Depot in the states for hundreds of $, two transactions in the exact same amount which I noticed and brought to their attention immediately and then they forced me to cancel my card while I was overseas with no access to my money. It was terrible. Today I had the same issue - trying to cash out at a doctor's office, plenty of $ in my account and now my charges are denied - noticed I got a text and called the fraud department to see what the issue was - there was a fraud charge so great that they caught it HOWEVER I have my card in my possession I am on the phone with them - I said I need to cash out at this doctors (so I do not have to use a credit card and get charged interest) approve this transaction and then you can shut my card down. They made me call Comm. choice direct tell them what the fraud guy said and there were corresponding notes put on my account go through all the transactions again and verify, give them my blood through the phone only to be told no we cannot let you make this charge that it opens me up to more fraud - I am like I am on the phone with, telling you the source of the transaction and the amount as we are talking, let the charge go through then you can shut the card down - nope after talking to a manager nope...at this point it was 1 hour that I was in the hall at the doctor's office trying to get an answer manager comes back on Nope still will not do it! I was furious - can't get access to my own money when I have been verified on the phone, have the card in my possession they blocked my card and are going to snail mail me a new one which will take 7 to 10 business days - which is also infuriating in this day when you can easily Fedx a new card to me. Then the manager has the audacity to ask me..."is there anything else I can help you with?" hahaha I go NO you haven't helped me AT ALL and it took an hour of my time I have to go, I need to get off the phone and on with my life you all are useless. They do not have ANY empathy for their members they do not care about the loyalty that I have had to them and loyalty these days is rare so too bad that they choose to treat members this way. I have a new account that I am looking to open up and as I left my doctor's office I decided nope not giving them any more of my business. I will be opening up an account with another bank.

We entered the bank at 2:15 pm on Monday, July 26th and Ryaya wasted more time telling us why we needed to make an appointment and come back another day versus trying to offer service. I explained to her that I was from out of town and that I was told that the only way I could add a name to my account was to come to the bank with the person I wanted to add in person, so we would wait. Vilda's 2:30 pm appointment came in and she took care of him in less than fifteen minutes. She would have been done sooner had she not stopped to direct us to make an appointment, wasted time calling another bank to see if they had an appointment, and then coming back to us to say that she also had a 3 pm appointment. We informed her that we would wait. She finally went back and completed her 2:30pm client. He left at 2:45 and we watched Vilda sit at her desk wasting more time, ignoring clients waited. She then came over and explained that if her 3:00pm appointment didn't show then she could see us at 3:10 pm. No one came for her at 3 pm, however she sat at her desk. At 3:05 pm, a white male customer left the line and went over to her desk to ask a question. We watched and heard her tell him he needed an appointment, then she proceeded to make him an appointment and continued to work with him until 3:35 pm at which time it was clear that she was not going to assist the two African American customers who had been waiting for over an hour. I asked for her business card, and she said she did not have any so we wrote her first name down, Vilda. I am so disappointed in BOA that I am seriously considering moving my accounts over to Wells Fargo as I need a bank with offices in both Michigan and Florida. Customer service in this branch was nonexistent and it was quite deliberate. Totally disgusted with Vilda!

Once I started using their online banking, I was genuinely impressed. It worked so smoothly that I eventually decided to switch over from PNC Bank entirely, and I'm glad I did. I've seen some negative reviews for this location, but I honestly don't understand them. I rarely need to go into the branch, but every time I have, I've received excellent customer service. The only "problem" I ever run into is getting stuck behind someone at the ATM who clearly isn't familiar with how it works and is trying to do huge banking transactions--lol--but that's hardly Chase's fault. When I came in to open my account, the team was welcoming, patient, and extremely helpful. Between the great online experience and consistently friendly in‑person service, Chase has earned my trust. I'm very happy I made the switch.

That same day, I opened a checking account at a different bank for convenience purposes. Chase didn't really close my account that day as I was lead to believe though. So, when Medicaid received my renewal forms, it looked like I lied because I did not mention the Chase account. On Medicaid's end, it looked like I had two checking accounts, which is taboo. For this reason, my Medicaid was terminated for about two days before I could get the issue cleared up. As a result of that two-day lapse of coverage, my food assistance was delayed almost two weeks and now my Social Security check (my only source of income) has been cut $250. I made my situation very clear to the Banker who was supposed to close my Chase account. He smiled and nodded as if he was listening AND understood the potential problems it would cause me if that account wasn't truly closed that day. SOLUTION: Banks need to provide education to employees regarding the needs of customers who are on Social Security, disability, or other public assistance and make sure their policies are not detrimental to these customers. REALITY: Guess who isn't picking up her new phone at Verizon today?
