This was my wife's first trip to Las Vegas and I wanted it to be memorable. After doing some research, I learned about Comedy on Deck from a Las Vegas influencer, and she was right! This tour did not disappoint. We were staying at the Park MGM, which was great since that is one of the pickup locations. Our guide was Dan and our driver was Ken. Dan is very knowledgeable about the history of Las Vegas and the Hoover Dam. As we were driving he pointed out some interesting sites, provided some history, and had fun with it. Not every joke landed, but Dan made the material more interesting. He's kinda like an eccentric history teacher. He's doing his best to make history fun. Dan did a great job keeping the tour moving. When we got to our various destinations he told us points of interests, and things to avoid if we wanted to keep the tour moving. For example, there is a NV and AS spillway, Dan said the NV spillway was closer if we wanted a picture. Lunch was good, nothing special. But considering the price of the tour, I was surprised it was included. On that note, please make sure to tip your servers, guide, and driver. This is Vegas, they are service workers, they are counting on those tips. I would definitely go again and highly recommend Dan as a guide. Remember, this is a COMEDY tour. That means there will be jokes. You may like some of the jokes and hate some of the others. If you are easily offended, or easily offended on behalf of others, maybe try a different tour. read more

Great option, on time, great driver and experienced guide, Andrew had us laughing and entertained all the time, gave us excellent gaming tips and options to do in the rest of our stay in Vegas, like restaurants, clubs, casinos etc, the food at Guano point not recommended but we had other option at Eagle point which we did not choose, so is not the comedy tour fault. Today we visited the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam with Mr. Andrew Hunt and the driver Mr. George. We started off with a really good breakfast that morning. After breakfast we went to the Hoover Dam and it was a really cool experience. I was worried because me and my wife only had one bottle of water and it was really hot. However, Mr. Hunt and George had several cases of cold water for us to drink as much as we wanted. After Hoover Dam we went to the Grand Canyon and it's about a hour and thirty minutes away. We ate while there and the food was okay to be honest. However, the food was free. Make sure if you're going to be doing a lot of walking that you are hydrated in advance. Don't wait until you're about to pass out before drinking water. We are from Houston and we really enjoyed the trip. read more

I have been out to Hoover Dam many times before. I am a local afterall. But the last time I took a tour of the dam was when I was maybe 12. Needless to say it had been a while. And, even though I have live in the Las Vegas area for 20 years, I still like to get out there and do the tourist thing from time to time. That is why I decided to take a Comedy On Deck bus tour out to the dam. I had a choice of pick-up location when I booked my tour. I chose the Circus Circus pick-up for the free parking. My tour guide, Harrison, called it. He gets it, locals don't like to pay to park. Pick up from Circus Circus was scheduled for 7:40 AM. Actual was about 7:50. Not bad. I think I was the third stop of the morning. Most people would get on at the next couple of stops as we made out way down the Strip. All the while those of us already on board were treated to some interesting factoids about Las Vegas. And some jokes mixed it. Once everyone was boarded, the real tour began. We started at the "Welcome To Fabulous Las Vegas" sign. Crazy thing is, 20 years of living here and a another 10 years of visiting before that and I never had actually stopped at the sign. Its about DAM time (dam joke #1). From the sign, we made our way to Boulder City. One of my favorite places to go to get out of the city. We drove thru town but didn't actually stop. Just a slow roll with some more history and jokes. The next actual stop would be the bridge. I've been there many times too but that did not stop me from walking up to and across once more. The view from up there is just too incredible. After about 40 minutes at the bridge we headed off down the DAM road (dam joke #2) to the dam itself. The star and destination of this particular tour. We drove across and past the dam into Arizona then turned around to come back to the visitor center. We were then given our tickets for the guided tour of the dam. After a security check point we were ushered into a theatre for a short presentation. Then piled into an elevator with 40 now close friends. Packed like pickles as the guide would say. Then it was down pretty DAM far into the ground (dam joke #3). We were led through the access tunnels and into one of the original diversion tunnels which now houses one of the intake pipes. You could feel the power of the water rushing through on its way to the generators. Generators which just so happened to be next on the tour. One of the generators is being worked on so we could see some of the inner workings. A rare site. That was cool to see. There were 7 other generators in there but I could only see 3 being used at that time. After the generator room it was back up to the surface. The elevator dropped us off at a small exhibit hall with access to an observation balcony. I went up there for a few minutes then made my way across to the original 1940s era exhibition featuring a 3D topographical model of the the entire Colorado River basin. That was very cool. Alas we reached the end of our time at the dam. It was time to board the bus and head to lunch. I could not help but laugh that we were treated to the Omlette House that is about 5 minutes away from home for me. It was especially humorous given the international table I was seated at (a couple from London and a lady from Australia). I enjoyed their company. Maybe even a little more than the burger. With everybody having been replenished, it was time to drop everyone back at their respective hotels. When we got to Circus Circus, Harrison had the bus driver Laura drop me off closer to the parking garage. That was was cool of them. Saved me from having to walk through the DAM casino (last one I promise). And thus ended my tour. Harrison and Laura were great today. Friendly, engaging, professional and funny. The jokes were at times corny. Sometimes a little dark or edgy. Never vulgar. The sites seen were familiar but still enjoyable to see. And I even heard some history that I had never heard before. So was this worth while tour, absolutely. read more

We absolutely loved our first trip to the Grand Canyon and the two areas we explored. The food (breakfast and lunch) were very good and came with the tour! I feel like our time was used well on this 6:30am-5pm tour. I had thought the comedy part would be longer but the guide did some comedy and then was like, and now it's time for a nap --- and for the next hour it was just a bus ride of silence so bring your headphones and some downloaded shows bc there's no internet when you get out there as well. Ditto for the way back. I love comedy and I thought there would be a script I guess to expand the comedy during the drive time. Overall the comedian was funny and the trip was well planned, organized and managed well. I highly recommend this tour! I took this with my three kids, ages 11, 12, and 21. We all enjoyed it. The jokes were funny for all of us. My younger ones were concerned about the amount of time we would be on the bus but we took multiple stops and it felt like time went by quick. They helped everyone take pictures as well. At the end, Pat gave us recommendations for things to do and places to eat in Vegas. Worth the money in my mind. read more

This was one of the worst tour experiences I've ever had. After attending, I posted a negative review on Viator. The owner/operator then messaged me, stating that they would not refund the trip because "reviews like ours cost money." Here's what happened: The bus broke down, and the tour guide failed to provide any updates on when, or even if, a replacement bus would arrive. This was a tour guide who, supposedly, had conducted over 1,000 tours with the company. Once a replacement bus finally arrived, the guide mocked passengers who were seeking information. We were then instructed to wait for an hour for a helicopter tour (the tour guide said we could make it arrive the park, the staff of the park said it was not possible), with the assurance that there would be "plenty of time afterward" to complete the rest of the tour--which proved false. We were unable to visit all the planned stops at the Grand Canyon West Rim and were limited to only ten minutes at one scenic overlook. Subsequently, we were delayed by a group of four British tourists who, seemingly attempting to compensate for the tour company's poor time management, took significantly longer than the rest of the group to return to the bus. This was the worst trip, the worst experience, and the worst guide. To then have the tour company refuse a refund based on my review is simply unacceptable. It feels like a scam. read more

First off, 5 stars for our driver and comedian tour guide. One star for the bus and its crappy AC. I booked this tour on a day we didn't have access to our rental car. It was nice that one of the pick-up stops was at Park MGM where we were staying. They state they won't leave anyone behind which is good and bad because I felt that delayed our entire trip by half an hour. We made dinner reservations based on the duration time posted on their website. Luckily, we were able to modify reservations and made it to dinner on time. The bus was nice (except for the AC) and our group consisted of about 60 people. There is a restroom on the bus. A lady used it and said it had no AC at all. The first stop was on the memorial bridge at the Hoover Dam. The tour also included a breakfast stop. Our tour guide took our orders en route and by the time we got to the restaurant, our food was out in minutes. Very efficient with the pre-planning. It also includes lunch at the last point within the Grand Canyon, but I did not partake so I have no information in that. Because we came late and didn't get a bus pass, we were pretty much on our own getting around when we arrived. With the delayed start time, I felt it made our wait even longer at the Skywalk, which I opted to skip even though I pre-paid for it. We were the last bus to arrive that day and the estimated wait time for the line (based on the previous day) would have have been over two hours...on a 115-degree day. Overall it wasn't a bad tour if you're needing a day activity. The AC ruined the experience especially since we spent about 3 hours each way on that bus. I'm seriously having withdrawals from this trip. It was so much fun! First of all, our tour guide was a comedian which made it so much fun. Johnny made us feel comfortable, provided us with information about the sites and kept us laughing. The drive was smooth, thanks to our driver, Bernie. He too was very accommodating, friendly and helpful. My safety was never an issue or concern! Our experience would not have been this amazing without these two. They had great chemistry. It was evident they love their job. After being picked up, we made stop at the famous "Welcome to Las Vegas" sign. We had amble time to take a few photos and videos. Johnny was kind enough to be our photographer/videographer! Next on the agenda was breakfast at Omelet House (comes with the tour woohoo). You are given 3-4 options with drinks (coffee, iced tea, etc., and if you are vegan do not fret, they have an option for you!!! Our starting point was at the main terminal and gift shop where you can find some cool and unique souvenirs and gifts. If you are like me and have a teacup for a bladder, you may want make time for a quick restroom run! After a 10 minute ride, we stopped at Eagle Point. This is where the Skywalk is located. You may utilize the Skywalk for $30. You aren't obligated to utilize it as there are many other areas (free of charge) to capture the breathtaking views! Our last stop at the Grand Canyon was Guano Point, named for bat droppings. Don't worry we didn't encounter bats or their droppings. As you make your way there, you will encounter a tent set up with tables of jewelry and other items for sale. This is where we grabbed lunch (included in the tour with a vegan option). Lunch comes with a bottled water but you can opt to purchase sodas or iced tea. There are also chips and ice cream for purchase. After finishing our meal, we went exploring. This is where you can see a 360 degree of the Canyon but must go on a small hike. Our final stop was the Hoover Dam. The tour takes you at a different perspective which I would have never found on our previous visits here. My companions and I had the best time! I highly recommend this tour for the entire family. The best thing is you don't have to do the drive yourself and with Johnny and Bernie doing all the work, all you do is enjoy! Tips: This is about a 12 hour long tour to and from pickup area. Plan accordingly. I have posted a tour itinerary on my photos. Their bus has VIP access to the Canyon so we were able to stay on our bus (no inconvenient bus transferring)! The best part is we were able to confidently leave our personal belongings in the bus to keep our hands free to shoot pictures and videos! You may bring water but Comedy on deck provide cold water at each stop. Do bring comfortable shoes. I suggest hicking boots if you want to climb and do some exploring. The ground isn't leveled. Do bring snacks. Remember, this is a long drive. There is no wifi or cellphone service in the reservation. Do bring a portable charger. Again it is a long drive and you will want to take as many pictures and videos. Do adhere to the timeline they give to ensure optimal experience! Do tip your driver and guide separately, at least $10 each. read more

It was not dull, which is a testament to the comic he is, as being clean AND funny is not a simple task. We loved the Vegas to West Rim tour. We saw everything as promised, Patrick our guide and G our driver were funny and helpful, and the bus was comfy. The food for breakfast and lunch was good plus speedy. The views of the Canyon were stunning. We did the skywalk which is recommend skipping. You spend 1 hour of your 3 hours at the canyon standing in line and only a few minutes on the skywalk. Warning: you can't take a camera or phone onto the skywalk so you also don't get photos (or you pay $$$ for a photographer to take photos). Get ready for a road trip like you've never experienced. I happened to stumble upon this tour trip operator after my first trip that was planned canceled. I went ahead and called the reservation line and spoke with Amy. She was pleasant and walked me through the process of what to expect, price, and booking. They do not take your cc info over the phone but will wait for you to confirm over the phone on your end to send you follow up details. She even went ahead and called the tour operator to ensure that the trip was confirmed since I booked less than 24 hrs and it was a green light for me to pay so I don't lose out. I opted for tour with sky walk and it was about $25 more per person. Now I got my confirmation emails and text. They even confirmed my pick up location before I complete my reservation to ensure other guests would be there, but the site has 6 or so locations to choose from. So the morning of the bus was earlier 15 minutes before the pick up posted time but the tour host greeted us warmly and checked us in. No need for the barcode and we were given breakfast cards to order and a pen to jot down the order. The breakfast was at the omelet house which was great service with fun sass and laughs. The food portion was plenty and we weren't rushed. The tour rise was smooth and filled with humor and fun facts and local tips along the way. The Hoover Dam was the first stop which was nice but a bit overwhelming for someone like myself who's afraid of heights. The next stop was at Grand Canyon West but beforehand we rode through Dolan City and Joshua Tree Forest. The GCW is on a sanctioned indian reservation which means no smoking or drinking. The check in at the main terminal was quick and a bit odd, but have your wristband with the barcode facing up for faster scanning. You'll need this as well at Skywalk. The next stop at Skywalk was good we were given an hour. Here the group split up into this that paid to go to the walk versus those that didn't. This was a busy line so a picture she walk will take awhile not to include the gift shop. They had some deals available as well so they were good for stuffed toys and stickers, magnets, key chains. I didn't get to see the Indian village or ceremonial dashing due to the time crunch, but the sky walk was nice. They had lockers to store your belongings and artifacts along the wait line. The Skywalk was very cool but again nerve-wracking for someone afraid of heights. I managed to get through, but stunning views. The last stop was guano point that had a café that served chicken, pork, or jackfruit BBQ bunless or sandwich style if asked. They had a variety of chips and pasta or macaroni salad. Water bottles were given out not only here but throughout the trip at each stop. From here we were given an hour and a half which was plenty of time to look at the mine, climb the high peaks that were fairly easy to climb, and get stunning 360 views. They also had some of the tribespeople selling jewelry. The trip host we had was Anthony who was fantastic and had us in stitches laughing. The driver Bernie was just as polite and made sure we were well taken care of as well. The trip all around was amazing and worth every dollar. Would definitely recommend making this part of your Vegas trip. Here are a few things that are good to know: 1. Bring a light backpack and any snacks/ drinks that'll make you feel at ease for any special dietary needs. 2. Dress for the weather and stay cool. 3. Discover the area and tent plenty of pictures and make new friends! Things I would like to see a trip features: 1. Have a picture/name of the bus. 2. Longer time at Eagle Point (stop #2) 3. Have an advance copy of the breakfast menu so you'll be ready to order the day of the trip. All in all, worth every moment of the day and a great time saver on travel. Our tour guide was Ralph and I honestly didn't expect to have so much fun! I'm definitely the type of person that watches educational documentaries about wildlife in her free time and not the type to listen to a funny podcast or watch a comedy show, but Ralph had me laughing embarrassingly loud for 80% of the bus tour (20% was nap time). He looked after everyone as if we weren't all strangers and made everyone feel like we were family. At one point, a topic he covered reminded me of my dog that passed on recently and I had begun tearing up, but not twenty seconds later, I was laughing through my tears.
