For a fun night out in the realm of English Comedy in Berlin, I can highly recommend ComedySportz…read more They do offer a few different venues, the two main ones being: Comedy Club Kookaburra every 2nd and 4th Tuesday or here at T-Berlin in Kreuzberg every 1st and 3rd Friday of the month. For the sake of this review I will be concentrating more on the Kreuzburg venue. At T-Berlin the tickets are only cost €6 or €5 for groups of 5 or more people. I don't know why I wrote people of course its people! It's not as if 5 or more pandas would get it any cheaper...though it would be a sight to see not to mention the advertising value of such an event! Now where was I.. Oh yes, if you reserve ahead via email to noah[at]comedysportz[dot]de you get a free shot of vodka! Hence every now and I again round up 5 friends and start mailing! Gosh I can be so incredibly cheap! I think this is a shorter programme than the one offered on the other side of town. The venue is also smaller so I recommend booking in advance. The staging area is down in the basement accessed via a short but very steep stair case... so leave the Louboutins at home! The show has two teams improving the hell out of each other to great affect especially with audience participation. I love the pace and involvement. A very good sign is that I took two German friends who were sceptical at first whether they could A) follow or B) appreciate English humour. What can I say is they produced the loudest continuous laughter all evening and even spread the word to their German speaking friends! A cheap, easy Friday night of laughter, lots of bars and restaurants in the area in case the laughter didn't quite fill you up! It's a great night out for all ages. In hindsight I think the Pandas would actually enjoy it...watching people aping around, certainly cheaper than the zoo!
