All I can say is WOW. This man knows his stuff…read more A few years ago, my then-wife and I took a rec and ed course on basic ballroom dancing that was taught by Dorian. He has clear passion for dancing and for sharing his amazing gift with others. He also has the right ATTITUDE to be an effective instructor. Patient, understanding, knowing how to work with "room temperature IQ" types who are "legends in their own minds", and effectively dealing with Fred Astaire wannabes with two left feet, Dorian gave all the people in the class COMPETENCE and CONFIDENCE, when it was clear that he was so, so, so much better than those in the class. I simply cannot give a stronger recommendation to this outstanding teacher. He is a fabulous dancer with loads of talent but makes everyone feel that they are making good progress. If I had to select just one person to teach me ballroom dancing for an important event (holiday party, wedding, etc.), I would entrust that awesome responsibility to Dorian Deaver. It is similar to recruiting Michael Jordan or LeBron James to teach a basic high school basketball clinic. Damn! You simply cannot do better. The group classes were very affordable, and we got a lot of tips when we struggled. It is a really great deal. We did a handful of classes and adapted it to our first dance song since we learned a lot of different moves. Neither of us are dancers and she made us feel very comfortable. It feels like a little family there, it is very welcoming. I recommend this for anyone looking for a hobby or new skill, couple, or before weddings. So happy with how it turned out. So many people complimented our first dance.

As a first-time drop in client, I am familiar with the need for waivers, etc. but was not greeted or presented with one - I had to ask for it and ask how to check in. It seemed the usual trainer/owner was out of town. The trainer leading the class did not offer technique help, corrections, nor any interaction/motivation. She simply acted as a timer and stood at the front of the room. It was a good work out but not much of a class experience!
