They are the most corrupt company, always increasing fees even when your in a contract, using covid as an excuse of not talking live on phone. Billing should be investigated for over charging when cancelled, not pro-rating !! They lost over 400 thousand customers in 2020 !! They are a monopoly !! If there were an Olympics for poor customer service, Comcast would be a gold medal winner every year. I have now spent hours on the phone with them. I am perfectly willing to pay for a service call but was told no one could come for a week. Their written instructions and instructions over the phone were horrible. It is easy to see why they are the most hated company in the country. read more

I think that relatively speaking that this was a good experience. I say that comparatively to other Comcast locations in places where I have lived; so I am not talking about a high bar to exceed. When we there there to pick up our equipment the service person was exceptionally friendly and helpful. I understand the one star and two star reviews because I have had those experiences in other Comcast service centers but this one was "OK". read more

Awful. Spent an hour talking to them. They took a payment in full on the 8th, then without my permission took a payment on the 11th. They say they can't refund my money till it clears till at least the 21st. What a joke. Also was put on hold for 28 minutes in between talking with the agent. Lunch 130 -230 then only 1 employee. Letting customers search better price deals while8 people waiting in line. Each customer's need is very long and then she had to do additional work after customer left. Flr the money comcast takes in, this is not ok. Save yourself!!!! Don't get Comcast!!! Horrible service. We switched back to Comcast from Verizon a few months ago and have had nothing but issues. Service is not stable and Customer Service is horrible. They will verify when your service is back up and running but will not work to determine why it keeps going out. I don't know about you but I work from home and need reliable service. I service went out today while I was on conference call meeting and it wiped out 45 mins worth of work on my computer since I was working remote. For me this is frustrating and unacceptable. I was left on hold for over 15 mins after asking for a mgr to speak to. Eventually got a Supervisor "Simon West" (probably not a real name) who refused to let me speak to a manager and refused to give me a manager's name to send a letter to. All he could say was "ummmmm... there isn't one available". Looking into other options. read more

If I could rate this at a 0, I would. Comcast is so awful that they are unable to get my internet speeds up to par. After 3 techs coming to my home in 7 months (whom the last tech left my house without even helping at all) my internet is still awful. I even pay for the BLAST package. They do not care about their customers or their customers money or time. My x1 platform only works half the time and the internet is horrible. I wish I had the option to not use Comcast for cable or internet. I am very dissatisfied with the service as well as the customer support. read more

The previous comment about Comcast Newburyport seems to be more common in other locations. The staff have the equipment but instead of giving to the homeowner, they would rather waste more time and charge for a tech visit. I have had this similar problem where over the phone customer service say it is necessary to visit the local center for the equipment, only to get there and customer service say the equipment is not available. This center must get a bonus for every referral they send to a tech for a home visit. read more

Comcast apparently signed my business up for a 3 year contract. We had to close the business after 13 months and now they want a $4500 early termination fee. Comcast was not willing to help in anyway. read more

OMG,,I have had Comcast for 4t years..I have had the SAME issue,,,all these years. I have had 5-6 technicians at my house all at the same time, Can NEVER get it resolved, and can never get in touch with a manager, Every assistant I talk to always says they will get to the bottom of my issue,,,and I never hear from them again. I think I'm the laughing stock of Comcast.,All technicians know me by name,,they are here all day and sometimes days on end, I can't get anywhere. I tell them I refuse to pay my bill till I get service and they threaten to shut my service off...Any ideas anyone...I'm sick of paying for a service I'm not getting. read more

I called 1-800-COMCAST because of connectivity issues. They told me to go to this location (Newburyport) and exchange my modem for free (as we lease ours from Comcast). The older woman who waited on me at this particular Comcast center was truly no help at all, and told me that they "don't keep those modems in stock," and then just stared at me blankly awaiting my response. She offered no further resolution, except (once I mentioned customer support instructed the swap) to schedule a tech appointment for the upcoming Tuesday (which I wanted to avoid, and was why I rushed down there before closing on a Saturday in the first place). When pressed, she said that "the techs are the only ones with those modems." I then asked, noting that several tech vans were in the lot, if she could just get a tech to swap it out for me. This resulted in another blank stare and yet another request to set up a tech appointment. I cannot recommend this particular location to anyone, as they didn't resolve anything and the woman who I spoke with was obviously not very caring, understanding or helpful. read more

I hate Comcast. You call and are on the phone multiple times for close to an hour, if not more, each time you have an issue, which is often. And they seldom resolve your issue. They aren't proactive and do the absolute minimum. I've had problems for the five years I've had service. I'd change providers but they're the only wifi provider for my apt complex. My wifi still doesn't work right and neither does the TV. They want to charge you for a tech even if the issue isn't their fault. It's constant calls and trips to the store. They also switch you from dept to dept and you have to explain the situation from scratch to each person and give your identifying info all over again. And that's when they don't hang up on you and not call back. They are great at making you pay even if your service isn't working, though. Never any credit for that. The only reason they're in business is because some people have no other alternative. They are absolutely awful and I'd give them 0 stars if I could. They just don't care. It's like dealing with robots and they don't know what they're doing and are lazy. read more
