BEXAR COUNTY COURTHOUSE

BEXAR COUNTY COURTHOUSE

I don't like Bexar County Courts, because of their relationship with River City Bail Bonds. Along…read morethese lines, River City has played it dirty, at least 18 times throughout the duration of the Bail Bonds Period. And I had to report this to the Police. For instance, on 3 occasions whenever I checked in, and I received a text message the very next day saying that I did not actually check- in. In 2 instances, River City Bail Bonds was outside when I called, and I don't know if Kristy and/or Misty logged in the check-in phone call. They indicated that they would log my call the very next day. In one instance, I requested a letter of dismissal, but the letter that River City provided was really vague and it did not actually dismiss the charges. Several weeks in a row. I made anywhere from 3 to 9 phone calls on each check-in day (on Thursdays) and absolutely no one picked up the phone. This might have happened across 7 check-in days/weeks. In one instance, an individual picked up the phone and immediately hung up without acknowledging me. In a few instances, I dialed the phone number that River City Bail Bonds was texting me through... This phone number was (1-833-682-8824). This number was a perfectly functioning phone number and it rang each time I dialed it, but absolutely no one picked up despite making dozens of phone calls week-over-week, for multiple weeks. Then one day, River City Bail Bonds notified me via e-mail, saying that I had not checked in at all for the past few weeks. During that phone call, I let them know that I had made dozens of calls to the (1-833-682-8824) phone number which they had been texting me through. Then they suggested that that particular phone number did not work with them. At this point, I returned to the following phone number (1-830-491-5245) to make check-in phone calls. Additionally, I believe that one of my meetings with the Judge, was way too extemporaneous... I e-mailed Bexar County Courthouse to ask about the meeting time, and this was never really provided to me. Then the morning of the scheduled meeting, they sent me the meeting time in a very extemporaneous fashion. And I barely caught it. I was approx. 24 minutes late to the second meeting with the judge. A few additional points here. Google indicates that a minor harassment charge should only last 90 to 120 days, whereas I have been in this system for over 10 months. And believe it or not, I was a Texas Foster Youth throughout the 90's for almost a decade. So I believe that I'm somewhat of a minority. And last but not least, the way that River City Bail Bonds has acted... And the way that others around me have acted throughout the Bail Bonds Period, leads me to believe that maybe there is a considerable amt. of money in putting me behind bars.... And to let you know, I'm a stand up type of a guy who was secured and implemented multiple federally funded R01 research Grants throughout the duration of my career. These grants have centered on research ethics and various community interventions. Sincerely, Jason

I've cleared up several traffic violations here. Each time it has been a piece of cake! There never…read moreseems to be a line when I go so someone can help right away. The bailiffs have always been friendly and helpful. The paperwork itself has always been clear and straightforward as explained by the professional staff. Obviously, this isn't a place I'd like to frequent; it all moved pretty quick when you are there.
