The restaurant was very inviting and had great ambiance. Angie was very attentive and efficient. We decided on getting a plate of cheese, bread and lulas fritas (fried calamari) with, of course, a bottle of red wine to start. They have a good selection of seafood, chicken and meat entrees to include pasta dishes and pizza. We ordered the cauliflower soup (freakingly yummy!), Carbonara Esparguete, Scallopini a la Marcela and a pepperoni with extra cheese pizza. The food was plentiful and everything was delicious. We ended our meal with flan and cheesecake and a meia de leite (cappuccino). A great meal shared with long time friends! The prices were very reasonable and they have free WiFi and plenty of parking. I also like the fact they come to your table with the credit card machine.

The architecture of this restaurant is very unique and stands out from all the other building - looks like spaceship. They have a small parking lot or you can park somewhere nearby on the street. We were there quite early for dinner, we sat the opposite side of the sunset (it was glaring and it wouldn't have been enjoyable because it was really warm in there. Not sure if the AC was broken that day, but they had the fan on which helped a little. The waiter was attentive and gave us the run down on the specials of the day. We had ordered bread and wine. We watched the sky as it turned from golden yellow to pinkish purple. It was a really nice restaurant to enjoy sunset colors and good food. We had ordered the limpets and risotto balls as our appetizers, which were delicious! We could've just ordered a few rounds of that and called it a night, but of course we want to try other entrees. My bf and I got their local beef steak served with cheese, another got a wreckfish entre, and gully jack fish entre. We all enjoyed our meals a lot and cleared the plate, except me. I normally like my steak medium rare, so that's what I ordered. It looked like it was perfectly done. It's two pieces of steak sandwiching local cheese. It was a bit hard to cut through it since the knives weren't that sharp, but I managed. It tasted delicious and fresh, but it was a bit on the chewy side. It wasn't as tender as it looked. Flavor was good and it paired well with a side salad. However it was a bit too much for. I think I would share this dish if I were to order it again, since it's two pieces of steak. I would like to try other dishes. Nothing like ending the night with desserts. My friend and I got their pineapple, since we've been enjoying them in Ponta Delgado. My boyfriend got their brownie and ice cream, while the other got their "special" the lava cake. We were disappointed with the pineapple. It was really sad looking, just sliced in finger length without any kind of presentation. What's worse is that it's not sweet at all. On the other hand, the boys with the chocolate loved theirs. I tried the brownie and I actually liked it a lot for a person that does not eat chocolate. Maybe next time.

We had just gotten into Terceira and were famished and although this isn't close to the airport, it wasn't a far drive so we decided to try it out. Oh, it also happened to be open which was a plus. Pulling into the parking lot we were immediately taken aback by how futuristic and sheek the design of the building was. It looks like a spaceship. We walked in and went up the stairs and were quickly seated next to these giant windows which overlooked the countryside. It truly was picturesque. Even though it was crowded, we were helped quickly, I believe by the manager, who helped us make our decisions. We ordered the sangria and the manager asked if we liked it sweeter or drier to which we replied sweeter. Let me tell you, this was the best sangria we've ever had. It was sweet without being overly sweet and had different fruit than your typical oranges and strawberries. It had those but also blueberries and red currants which popped with flavor as you bit them. For appetizers we got the octopus salad and were feeling a bit adventurous so we also ordered the barnacles. The octopus salad was cold and olive oily and was very tasty, especially with the bread that was served. The barnacles come attached to a rock in a grouping, we got 5 on ours and for .85 Euro/barnacle, they were not pricey. They came presented on a bed of sea salt with a small fork to grab into the shells and pluck the meat out. These were very surprising and had a salty flavor like the ocean and I was very glad I tried them! Try them if you're nervous! For our main dishes my mother got grouper with a large prawn and a side salad. She said it was delicious. The salad, like I have noticed all over the islands, is just raw vegetables that come with vinegar and olive oil on the side, no dressing on the actual salad. It is odd at first but it works as a nice palate cleanser, especially between flavorful and heavy bites of your entree. I ordered fried triggerfish (another fish I had never tried), served with lemon risotto and arugula. My dish was amazing. It was fried to perfection and everything went so well together, also the portion was huge! We were unfortunately too full for dessert and we wish we would've come back here but we were only on the island for two days so it was not really possible. Come here and love it; it truly is a gem!

Flavio is still the attentive and friendly host from long ago. My visit to Terceira would have been incomplete without a visit here for such a wonderful dining experience with awesome long time friends. It is still off the beaten path but has plenty of parking and the dining room is very inviting and spacious. We were able to choose our table and I already knew that I wanted the breaded chicken entree and Flavio knew exactly what I meant when I ordered it! My friends ordered the abrotea fish entree and we paired our meal with a delicious red wine that was perfect for our dining experience. Before our main meal, Flavio brought out the delicious goat cheese with malagueta sauce and bread and it was just as I remembered! We finished our awesome meal with three types of dessert (all so yummy) and a meia de leite (cappuccino). My daughter and friends are so jealous because they weren't able to eat here during their visit a few years ago. My visit to Terceira is now complete after having a meal here-still going to try and eat here one more time before I leave, but will definitely be back in the near future!

This is what happened on our arrival and my friend was picking up his rental car. We were told this was the restaurant to eat at. After a day of sight seeing we arrived just as the restaurant was opening for the night. It's nice that they have a private parking lot on the side of the building because the front walkway is essentially the street. It's safe to walk on but I wouldn't suggest stumbling. We were a party of four adventurous eaters so the menu was right up our alley. After a quick perusal of the offerings and a suggestion from our server we ended up getting all the starters (bread, butter, smoked sausage, & cheese), the Azorean dish (essentially a meat platter), the pork head stew, the regional stew and the meat plate (a cutting board full of steaks). Our server made sure we didn't over order, because we were prepared to order more. The starters came quickly. The cheese is a soft fresh cheese and it is accompanied by a pepper topping which pairs perfectly. Smear it on the bread and you're in luck. If you're smart save some of the cheese and pepper topping and serve it with the regional stew and fries and you won't regret holding on to it. The smoked sausage was a beef sausage and was smoked before it was finished with a hard sear because the outside had a terrific crispy texture while the inside had great smoke ring and a contrasting softer juicy center. We were served the Azorean plate as part of our starters (which has pork ribs, black pudding, pork sausage).
