Traded them in for cleanish towels after realizing they were not fully clean. Floor was so dirty that both my wife and I took a wash cloth to wipe off our feet after shower so as to avoid black marks when we got in bed. Floors were laminate but didn't appear to have been mopped correctly. Refrigerator didn't work, so had to throw out medicine after overnight temp dropped below storage limit. Pleasant staff. Price was low and I should have realized that the standards were probably reflective of price. Beds were okay and lights and outlets worked. Very loud from rooms above and on either side.

I ended up having to drive an extra hour and 45 minutes because the hotel had no hot water. The desk clerk was very friendly and tried to be as helpful as she could, but when I arrived there were no alternate reservations made for me, no offer to match the price at this hotel at another nearby hotel, nothing. After flying all day then driving for 2 hours, I was greeted with news that I didn't have a place to stay. I asked the desk clerk if she would attempt to work out a matching rate at another hotel and she informed me This hotel is privately owned. This tends to be a go-to disclaimer at smaller mainstream hotels these days. Fortunately, I was able to get a reservation at hotel in Austin Texas, but that was another 1 hour and 40 minutes driving. How this hotel could have qualified for a three-star review, have an alternate plan for the guest who has a reservation. Don't simply tell the guest, there's nothing they can do You're out of luck.

I did hear some slamming doors, but I think that's more of a inconsiderate person issue, rather than a structural issue. First appearance is nice. Ample parking, nice building, inside and out, and the customer service was great. I was checked in quickly, and was able to lay my head on a soft pillow in a matter of minutes. I slept good! The rooms are of average size with a microwave, mini fridge, TV, and free Wi-Fi. The following morning, the free hot breakfast was great! It really hit the spot. Decent value!

The incomplete nature of things even applied to our room -- when we got to it, the door was propped open with a washcloth, apparently to allow it to dry because the room smelled of paint. The place felt somehow a touch third-world, in that the standards of what we might expect seemed low. This applied even in small ways, such as the shower, which had no shelf so you had to put your soap and shampoo on the floor bend down periodically to access it. The substandard nature applied to service as well. I left my watch behind, and though they called to tell me they found it, they would only return it to me if I gave them a $25 service charge. A good hotel would just mail it to me. Breakfast was unimpressive, but the one nice thing about this place is that there is a McDonalds immediately adjacent and a steak restaurant and Sonic right across the street.

Usually my stays at Baymonts have been informal & kind of in & out-y, but this was a very relieving stay after a very long day traveling the belly of Texas. A traffic snarl in Houston made the arrival a total relief to be off the road & in peace. Huge bathroom & good supplies helped. The breakfast wasn't anything to write home about - motel breakfasts aren't known for that, but it was adequte & the coffee was fresh at all times I hit the coffee bar. He was just in time bc this restroom NEEDED his attention desperately. I'm sure if I hadn't walked in at the very end of a shift before a cleaning that this would be a great restroom at a rest stop. The water fountain water was HOT though. We had drinks in the car. I was just curious if the drinking fountain actually worked. My advice: Don't use it! This place would've gotten 2 stars but the man arriving to clean, saved it.
