One bathroom stall was completely out of commission. That's understandable. It happens but the smell was pretty bad. It hit me like a ton of bricks when I walked in. Also, there are 2 sinks but only one faucet worked & I'm assuming that bc of that, only one had soap. Other than those issues in the ladies room, this was a nice, convenient roadside stop. I stopped during the day so I can't tell you how well lit it is.

There's tons of parking and lots of pumps. I was traveling with my baby for the first time so having space away from everyone while we settled into what we needed to do was perfect. We grabbed the very last pump and no one was near us, which let us take our time. The bathrooms are large and we used a big handicap stall which had a changing table AND sink in it. I was like, "Um, ok, what's that about?" I got home and looked it up. I found out it was Texan company. Then I decided I wanted to visit the biggest Buc-ee's in the Lone Star State. We landed in San Antonio and rented a car. Thankfully it didn't have a California license plate. We drove to Luling on our way to Austin. We pulled into the Buc-ee's parking lot. We saw the gas prices. Gas in Texas is more affordable than Washington State. Took a photo with the metal critter in front of the entrance then made our way into the store. Spacious, busy. Bathroom was clean. We picked up some brisket sandwiches and some sodas. Food is more affordable in Texas. We also bought some souvenirs to take back home including a red shirt with the beaver.

The parking lot is huge separating 18-wheelers to the vehicles. It's very seldom that rest stops have museums inside them, but at this one they do. Very cool. History about the general area and who was the mastermind behind the creation of the rest stop. I learned facts about Seguin that I knew nothing about. Amazing! The ladies restroom was immaculate clean and smelled good too! I admired the turquoise blue doors and how pretty the restroom was. I can't wait to stop here again!

So my father being as old as he is has to stop every 60 miles to go to the bathroom, damn all that medicine he takes. Any ways....i decided to stop and stretch a bit while he ran in. Right when you get into parking lot it's free and clear of any trash. The bathrooms are located inside the rest stop building that has a small museum in it with snacks and drinks. There is even a kids play area right outside that is pretty solid. New and shaded area for a quick pic nic and a few nice trees with park benches underneath them. Now if you have the four legged family pet there is also a dog walking trail. I don't of course so I didn't check it out. I'm really impressed. It felt like I was in a huge park ready to enjoy some perfect scenery. If you ever need to stop and stretch this is a location I would suggest. It's definitely not like the scene in the movie "There's Something about Mary" with Ben Stiller and Cameron Diaz. If you haven't seen this movie before sure to YT that scene. You will get the joke. First of all, they closed the classic diner and sold out to a Whataburger franchise. Second of all, we used to enjoy stopping at Rowdy's Rest Stop for the dogs, but what used to be a nice, grassy area is overgrown with weeds. They used to maintain a deer feeder in the dog rest area and we enjoyed seeing the deer. It is still a convenient place to stop for fuel, but it is NOT AS NICE as it was before.

The standout for me however, was the milk chocolate peanut butter buc-ee logo chocolate bar. It was pure joy! The absolute best thing I had eaten in ages when it comes to chocolate.
