is it bad that I went to eat at this place solely because they were showing "el clasico" (football…read morematch between Barcelona and Real Madrid)? They just happen to serve decent pizza as well. I ordered the "four seasons" pizza which was pretty much just a bunch of fresh vegetables like bell peppers, tomatoes, artichoke hearts, etc. And it was a pretty large pizza for about 12,50E. Place de L'horloge is FULL of outdoor seating as it's one of the two large squares in Avignon with restaurants for hungry tourists. The service was typical French. Overall, it was a decent meal.

An inviting and friendly atmosphere. Food comes out quick. They offer 4 different styles burgers…read morediffering mainly by cheese option and a selection of bagel sandwiches. Went with the Marion burger which had Swiss cheese and bbq sauce with fries and tartare sauce on the side. I asked for medium rare, it was a little more rare for my liking but still good nevertheless. The bbq sauce was a change from what my American palette is used to on a typical burger. The fries were ok. Would I come back- yes to try the other burgers and see how they all differ. This place has peaked my interest.

Outside tables let you enjoy the late late light that lingers. Potatoes with chorizo were a classic tapas starter. We shared a charcuterie plate: jamón serrano, cornichons, various salamos, more Spanish chorizo. Also 2 soft cheeses, one like a mild bleu, along with what might have been an Emmenthaler. It was just right for us to nibble on along with a carafe of house rose. My friend tried the grilled giant prawns & said they were quite fresh. Dessert wasn't one of those exquisite preparations - just your basic molten chocolate lava cake. It will push up your blood sugar! Our dinner for 2 with 3 tapas plates, 2 desserts, a small wine, a 1/2 liter carafe, and one bottled water was €58.
Described as "fondant de chocolate" - these were little molten chocolate cakes with a créeme anglaise sauce. N
