Rim Pro's is a full service automotive wheel shop that specializes in the repair of bent, gouged or…read morescraped aluminum rims for your vehicle. They also do new rim and tire installations, but my review will focus solely on rim repairs. My first rim issue occurred when I carelessly got my car too close to the curb at the entrance of my work's parking garage and scraped the face of my 19" aluminum rims on my Mustang. Needless to say, I was a little miffed but knew the damage was cosmetic and a repair could wait until I scraped together a few bucks for the repair. Fast forward a month or so and I found myself being run off the road by a white dually style pickup truck with Idaho plates while heading north on Elysian Fields Avenue. To avoid the collision, I attempted to negotiate a hard left turn and ended up driving over the neutral ground's (median) curb. Even though I had slowed considerably, the curb impact left all 4 of my rims dented and left a bulging egg in all 4 tires. I immediately replaced the tires and had the wheels balanced. But the dents in the rims were causing a high speed vibration. (No, I'm not gonna say how fast). I reached out to my trustworthy mechanic (Greg Roberts at GT Automotive) and my friend Phil D. at Cottman Transmissions and they both highly recommended I go to Rim Pro's; owned by Kevin Louque. When I walked through the front door, I was enthusiastically greeted by Melissa, who was handling the front office, the telephones and coordinating with the technicians in the service area. I told her they came highly recommended and she introduced me to Brian, who appeared to be the lead technician. Brian was assisted by Austin and Aaron, and the three of them crank out a lot of repairs for such a limited amount of personnel. Since I needed the car to get back and forth to work, I had to get 1 wheel repaired at a time. Brian looked at all 4 rims and was able to straighten out one on the spot, as it only needed straightening and did not need to be resurfaced with their Trump RL-3040 CNC machine. After the rim was straightened, balanced and put back on the car, he took off the second rim and put my spare tire on for me. Rim 2 had to be straightened, CNC machined and clear coated. The next day, rim 2 was put back on and rim 3 removed, straightened and CNC machined. I repeated this process for three straight days and by the end of the week, all of my rims looked just like the day I bought the car. I kid you not when I say that I was astonished, as I did not think the gouges in my rim could be repaired without me being able to see the repair. But the rims look brand new, and the cost to repair a rim was only approximately 1/4 the cost of a new rim. Owner Kevin Louque personally did a walk around of my car with me and treated me like a V.I.P. As soon as I left, I got the car up to speed (No, I'm not gonna say how fast) and discovered that there was no more vibrations as the car felt as smooth as glass. Not only did my rims look great, but more importantly, they were structurally sound and smooth riding. I cannot recommend this place enough if you are in the need of a rim repair. So if you have some curb rash, don't put it off. Go ahead and give the professionals at Rim Pro's a call, and get your wheels looking factory new again.

Ughhhh New Orleans street, blast you!!!…read more This is like the millionth time I've had to have a rim repaired or replaced, hello I'm thinking of sending all those bills to the City of New Orleans... Anyway, review time!!! I settled on this place due to the review of a fellow Yelper, thanks again Mike C. I found Melissa & her staff to be very courteous, helpful & accommodating. Even though my rim was unable tonbe repaired, she continued to assist me with locating a replacement. (the repair was unable to be done because of the materials that the rim was made of) Located off of Veterans near WalMart in Kenner, this rim shop is easily accessible & right near the interstate. Pricing is fair; the quote of repairs I was given, had they been able to be done wasnwaaaaaaaaaaaay less than a replacement rim, believe me. Quick turn around time, I dropped the rim off & was informed w/in 2 hours, although attempted, the repair was unsuccessful. Thanks RimPro, that you are!!!!

Bought the OEM replacement part from the Subaru dealership and Allen's was able to install the customer provided part in a timely fashion for an insanely affordable cost ($~250). Got me back on the road and didn't bleed me dry, can't complain! Top tier customer service. Would definitely come back for more work in the future.

I brought my vehicle to Allen's Automotive Services after leaving from another shop that had done a…read morediagnostic test and it determined that I needed transmission work/repair done. So I was able to drive it to Allen's Automotive on Utica St. in Metairie, La. I explain the repair work according to the diagnostic reading from the first shop who weren't able to do the work, the employee asked what code did the diagnostic machine give, I called the other shop and the tech sent via text, the code as well as a picture as it was still in his machine I shared it with D. DillenKoffer at Allen's Automotive Services, who then said to me yes we can take care of it for you. So I left my vehicle there at Allen's Automotive. Couple days go by and I get an email from Allen's Automotive in the form of a bill for $3,557.37, which I didn't have but I was relieved to see that there was financing available, so I had the work financed and approved in late January (2026) I got a text that my vehicle was ready to be picked up and because I had the work financed that all was a go I had filled out the necessary documents for the financing part and that it was cleared and I was able to come and get my vehicle, however when I arrived I was told by V. April that it didn't go thru (financing) but actually what he did was added the labor for a part I had supplied which I did not have a problem with but it was just the way he went about it, stating that the financing didn't go thru. I had started receiving emails asking to review Allen's Automotive Services at the time I wasn't quite ready to review Allen's Automotive Services. So I have my vehicle about two months and I noticed oil leaking from the exact spot where the work was performed, so I brought the vehicle back once I noticed the transmission oil leaking, once back at the shop explaining the oil leak I noticed that I was treated differently from when I initially went in for the work to be done, the tech got on it and tightened the bolts of the transmission pan, he used a small hand held battery charged rachet to tighten the bolts. I then get in my vehicle and left, I think that was in mid March, on or about August 4th or so I noticed another oil leak in my driveway under the vehicle so I took pictures of the leak under vehicle as well as oil on the transmission bolts on front of pan and on the rear pan bolts as well as the side pan bolts also, I got under vehicle and touched my finger on one of the bolts that had an oil droplet on it and rubbed it between my fingers, the color of the oil was red as in transmission oil. I called the office and asked if I could get a copy of a receipt that I had misplaced, the lady asked my name or number she located the receipt and sent it to me via email I wasn't sure if work was still under warranty so I brought the vehicle back to the shop again. I was explaining that the transmission was leaking oil again one of the techs said he'd come out and check transmission oil and top transmission oil off and that they weren't able to do anything else that day because they were full. The tech check trans oil and topped it off. He and I walk back in the office and he checks the work order just to be sure it was covered under the warranty the tech then tells me to bring the vehicle back Tuesday August 11th so I asked the tech if I could get something in writing because if I had gotten a trip out of town that it might've brought me over the warranty miles and another guy in the office answered as if he was irritated with my presence and questioning concerning the warranty and he snapped at me saying look we're gonna honor your warranty alright and I asked who he was and he replied in a puffed up manner oh I'm the GM over the shops, and if I say we're gonna honor it we will, it was V. April. So I leave the shop drove to New Orleans and then back to my home in Laplace, La that was Friday August 7th. I came home and parked vehicle and didn't move or drive it till Tuesday August 11th when I brought the vehicle back and it was parked across the street from the shop in back of some Banquet Hall, Wednesday (today) I get a text explaining inspection performed and that it was found to be motor oil blowing back on transmission pan bolts and oil leaking from valve covers on engine and I was sent another bill totaling over $6,000.00 for that work which I declined. I really don't/didn't feel they handle this properly and my warranty wasn't honored, nothing was done about transmission leak cause I know what I touched on my fingers was red transmission fluid, no one can make me think it was anything else.
