I've driven by Home Comfort hundreds of times. Nice showroom and very nice stuff. When I talked to the flooring guy, he showed me the LVF samples. It seems that there's only one company they represent for this flooring. I asked him to ballpark a 1,200 Ft2 install and he said that they would come out and measure for an accurate estimate. Although this is true, I suppose, I wonder how he thought that answered my question? Deception didn't sell well with me, so off I went. I went to a place that was open, up-front informational, and they answered every question I asked - both before and after they came out to measure. I am very happy with the floor I got. Good luck with these guys at Home Comfort. They'll screw around with you if you're a bona fide customer ready to buy.

Luke, you "addressed our concerns" by telling us we were not welcome back at your business! You did…read morenot fix the sloppy paint job nor the too tall glass fixtures in the kitchen, nor the badly hung lights in our Great Room. You did refund the one fixture in our kitchen, which was supposed to be hung with eight feet of chain but was installed at the very apex of a vaulted ceiling, but it took over a year of phone calls and emails for you to do so. You also never delivered the $600 worth of merchandise to us. My wife had to drive over and pick it up herself weeks after making the purchase. In your email response to my initial review, you wrote: "I can't help but wonder if this review was left as a retaliatory measure for something that I may have unknowingly done to cause either of you discomfort." You have apparently decided to consider a review based on poor service performance as "retaliation." We had been so happy with our interactions with the staff 11 years go that helped us decorate a lovely lakefront property. We recommended your store and your design services to several of our friends. But that was then. We will advise our friends these days to give their business to other more reputable businesses around the lake.

Told her how the last person I went with screwed me over and stole my money and after that I could not get a word in edgewise. I hadn't even told her the full story of what happened and she kept telling me what I should have done, designs that person owes me, how I should get back in touch with that person so that they could give me the partial work they did so I could give it to her, etc. I'm an attorney so I obviously know what I was supposed to do in that situation and what that person owes me. And honestly, none of that is her business but I was conveying what happened to me so she knew what situation I was in and that I needed some reliable. However, she missed that point completely and bogarted the conversation. When I was allowed to speak and partially state what work I wanted done, I was never allowed to get my full idea out before she cut me off and told me what was and wasn't possible and what I should be doing instead. I was glad when the phone call was done and agreed for her to send me a quote via email, which I honestly didn't even open. If that how she was on the very first phone call, I knew the rest of the process would be a nightmare. Definitely not worth it. Found someone else on Thumbtack and couldn't be happier.
