As she steamed our dumplings, she let us know that once a week, the chef prepares evening meals. There is also a DJ those nights - so a whole dinner party vibe once a week! We got an order of pork and one order of veggie dumplings. The dumplings were presented beautifully, and tasted as good as they looked. We also enjoyed the house made chili oil which was well balanced --- not too hot. That oil complimented the dumplings perfectly. As we sat at the large communal dining table, the lady that greeted us told us she also made and sold fresh sourdough bread at Hao's. I had to check that out. I got the pepperoni/mozzarella sourdough loaf. Later that evening, we ate some and it was amazing! I will definitely buy another sourdough loaf here. This is a small shop, but there is inside and outside seating if you want to enjoy your dumplings immediately. The space also offers a few hard to find grocery items, and of course, fresh sourdough. There is adequate street parking nearby and "nearish."

The most recent visit was on Thursday, April 30, 2026. The first time, half a dozen didn't cut it, so I had to get a dozen for my little one and me. They had opened and had sold out of their pork dumplings. At first, I was hesitant about buying their kimchi dumplings since I thought they would taste just like kimchi. I'm not hating it, it's just an acquired taste or depending on who makes it. However, I stand corrected because they were so delicious and flavorful. Yummy, their pork and kimchi dumplings are so savory and delicious, especially with chili oil and a tad of soy sauce. I also purchased sticky rice and a loaf of bread that was made by Rebecca. Rebecca informed me that Lu(I'm sorry if that's not the name of the cook/chef you mentioned) makes vegan food dishes like their kimchi dumplings as well as other dishes on Thursdays. The food orders begin from 5 p.m. up until 8 p.m. They also have a Dj who is his friend and they also do karaoke. My hope is to go back to try more of Lu's food specialties soon as well. It all sounds like such a great time. By the way, you can always call to inquire if they have what you'd like, since Rebecca mentioned they have been busy about a week ago, ever since someone posted them on social media, and she was the only one there, cashiering, prepping the food etc., so please be patient and kind. Just a reminder because I know some people get hangry, so please be mindful and kind. Overall, it was a marvelous experience and just can't thank Rebecca enough for how kind, patient, and welcoming she was and, as I mentioned earlier, above and beyond customer service. Trucks coming at night, so, the Aldi Crew can stock at night to be ready for the next day. My friend from Church was talking about a Cauliflower Pizza. I remember back in the day, Oprah recommended Cauliflower Pizza too.. So, I headed to Aldi because, I remember seeing them there. There were only two pizzas on the shelf. The Cauliflower Pizza got put in the wrong place so, it ended up being a little more than I budgeted for. It was like 10.00 for an 8 inch Pizza. Not bad. It was well worth the investment. The Cauliflower Pizza was crispy with lots of Veggies. I definitely recommend Aldi and the Cauliflower Pizza. So, head to Aldi for some healthy pizza. What I witnessed and personally experienced left me feeling deeply disrespected--and, sadly, discriminated against. As I stood in line with my young children, I watched Kelley warmly greet and engage in friendly small talk with the customer ahead of me. However, when it was our turn, her demeanor shifted completely. She didn't offer a greeting--not even a glance. I said "Hi" to her, trying to be polite, but she did not acknowledge me or my children at all. As I bagged my items, I observed her check out two more customers after me--both of whom were white. Again, she was friendly, smiling, and conversational with them. The stark difference in how she treated us was undeniable. The only visible difference between us and the others was the color of our skin. Ordinarily, I would have spoken up. But I stayed silent in that moment--not out of fear, but to protect my children from witnessing and trying to understand something no child should ever have to: the quiet cruelty of racism. It's incredibly painful to feel unwelcome simply for being who you are. I hope this feedback is taken seriously. Discrimination--whether overt or subtle--has no place in any business that serves the public.
