FYI: This company has changed it's name to NOCO Turf CO. They did a putting green install for me and it has flatness problems. The install was nothing like the agreement stated. I think they are ghosting me now but it's only been a few days. I'll give them a few more days before going all out to expose them. Looks like they changed the business name which is a bad sign. They will need to change it again if they don't honor the warranty. read more

Install went ok and recommended to two of my neighbors. Base was washed out by heavy rainfall and I reached out to get it fixed and was even ready to pay for the fix. After initial contact, I was essentially ghosted for no reason. Very disappointed with their customer care and would not recommend. read more

Met them at the Home/Garden show in 2018. Met with Brian at the house, he took measurements, was timely with the quote, COI, and installation in March of 2019. I was very happy with the results. One year later (2020), having issues with the product separating at the seams and a large sink hole - he was very responsive and got a crew out to address. A couple hours later, issues appeared to be handled, and the rest of the summer/fall the product was fabulous. One year later, same time of year (right around late winter thaw), the same issues came up in the same part of the lawn, but a different spot. I now suspect that whatever they are putting under the fabric isn't handling the freeze/thaw in our climate very well, causing the fabric on top to move and separate - in this case, the sink hole is on the seam, so I believe it's a direct result of water getting through there and damaging the material under it . When I reach out to Brian, by forwarding our previous email thread, explain the current situation and include photos. Brian doesn't remember who I am, (I've just forwarded our previous 2 years worth of conversations about the install and repair). He claims he can't find us in their system under either myself or my husband's name, and asks if it was his company or someone else that did the work. After a dozen emails back and forth, after I finally forward him photos of the receipt from the initial install, he starts to get snippy about the issues, saying we're out of warranty, it can't possibly be his product at fault, and it's $350 an hour from the time the guys leave the shop in Frederick, CO to drive to Aurora to look to see what the issue could be. I'm willing to pay a crew to take a look, but that pricing is well above what their rates were for the initial install - and $350 for the hour it will take them to get between Frederick CO to Aurora CO is well over reasonable travel time expense. - I used to recommend them when people commented on how nice the turf in the backyard looked - not going to be doing that going forward after experiencing this absolutely unprofessional and frustrating back and forth, and a labor quote that is clearly a "we don't want to do this" price. They get 2 stars because the initial installation went smoothly, and the product looked great until the sinkholes and fabric separation started to occur. But when our choices for maintenance/repair are being raked over the coals, or doing it ourselves and voiding what is left of the warranty, that value has greatly diminished. read more

We used Colorado Turfin' last year and so many things went wrong. False promises, shoddy work, poor communication, verbal abuse, and physical threats to my family is what I apparently paid many thousands of dollars for. The owner is rude and doesn't follow through. The stuff they put down for pets doesn't work, unless we spray the turf with water often it has a white film on it and they don't honor the warranty. We didn't get the cloth liner either and they didn't do a drainage from our patio foundation either. Over the last 6 months we have tried to contact them numerous times and been ignored. read more

BBB rating of F with a multitude of complaints...unfortunately I did not see this before giving this company $20,000 for turf only to find out they did not use the cooling infill that was promoted, advertised and included as a line item on my estimate.. Turf is 160 degrees on sunny days. After not responding to emails or phone calls for over a month, when he did finally respond he lied and said he did use the correct infill. He did offer begrudgingly to come put more infill in...useless as the infill he substituted is low quality and will not provide the cooling effects we were told about during the sales pitch. They hid the line item cost in the overall pricing so that even though the TCool product is listed on our estimate (36 bags) they left the line zeroed so that he can claim he didn't charge me for that. I found Colorado Turfin through Angie's list. I don't know if my job (about 700 sq ft of landscape turf and river rock) was too small, but no other company responded. Brian promptly called and came the next day to finalize plans. Job was priced fairly and scheduled and done within the week. Amazingly, it only took about 5 hours to complete, and Brian's crew was very friendly and professional. Overall, I highly recommend Colorado Turfin. read more

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!!! By far the WORST customer service I've ever received!!! I hired Brian to begin partial work in my backyard in 2021 with the knowledge that there was construction in my neighborhood and the builders needed a portion of my backyard for electricity/building. Brian's employee, Heather, told me that I would need to pay the entire cost ($5,000) up front. She said they would partially install the turf and rock and then they would return after the building in the neighborhood was complete to finish their job. We signed a contract and everything. They quickly accepted my entire payment and installed partial turf and rock. During the timeframe of waiting for the surrounding neighborhood project to be completed, I made sure to notify Brian and update him with what was going on. When I finally called Brian to complete the work, it took over a month to track him down. He claimed he was on vacation for weeks and wouldn't respond. I even tried calling other numbers listed on the company site but he wouldn't lock down a time to meet. Finally when I chased him enough, he agreed to meet at my home to discuss next steps. The day before the meeting, I had a feeling he was not going to show and I emailed and texted that morning to confirm. I did not get a response until 10pm that night when he told me he had a rough week because a family member had passed. He didn't detail if he was going to make our meeting or not. I obviously gave my condolences, but was very confused at his text. The next day, 15 min after our scheduled meeting time I texted him and asked if he was coming and all he said was "no". He had ZERO motivation to reschedule or make things right. He did not care at all. It was apparent he was never going to make the meeting. I argued with him via text to get him to refund me my money and he was overly rude and incredibly unprofessional. He tried to under value the cost of work and supplies to refund me less money than I deserved. It wasn't until I threatened writing this exact review that he said he'd refund me the amount that I was asking for the remaining turf and rock that I did not receive!! He told me I needed to give him a month to pay it back - He never did. I now have a partially completed backyard and I'm out $2,125. This man took my money in full and when it was time to complete his CONTRACTED JOB, he not only failed, but he gave me the run around and every excuse in the book!!! He lied and he stole thousands from me. Now I have filed a small claims case and I have to chase him in court! Absolutely horrendous customer service! Do not ever use this company! My wife and I met with Brian, the owner of CO Turfin, 3 years ago when we 1st began the planning phase of our massive outdoor renovation. He was informative of the installation process and the product, and was very accommodating with our choice of pavers and turf so we knew we wanted to hire him for those reasons. Now 3 years later we finally got to the grass installation phase of our project and I called Brian up. He was still as enthusiastic about taking on our job as he was the 1st day I met him. I explained to him that we had already done quite a bit of work ourselves and wanted to purchase a specific turf and he was accommodating of that & gave us a competitive install price. We also explained that we had a specific due date for the installation, as my wife & I had planned a small ceremony to renew our vows for our 25th anniversary and Brian said he would make sure we had the turf installed in time even if he had to rent a skid steer & spread the base material himself! Well 3 days before our scheduled installation date my wife & I both caught covid & had to cancel everything. Brian was understanding & said we had to provide 2 negative covid tests before they could come out. (We thought this was very responsible of a business owner to protect their employees this way!) 4 weeks later we were at our new installation date and the crew that showed up was awesome! Ryan managed the install & Pita dictated specific jobs to each installer, and from there it was a well-oiled machine! Those guys installed 3,500 sq ft of turf in 2 days and it looks absolutely beautiful!!! We had only 1 hiccup with some in ground lights not being centered on each fence panel in the backyard and Ryan came out 2 days later himself to make sure it was corrected! We honestly couldn't be happier with this company & have since recommended them to 3 of our neighbors who are all now interested in installing artificial grass after seeing ours. :) Now real quick, I'd be doing CO Turfin a huge disservice if I didn't mention 1 of their other stars....Heather their sales rep who does all the measuring & pricing of each job. She is literally OUTSTANDING & one of the coolest & nicest folks you'll meet in your lifetime. She goes above and beyond, just like Ryan, Pita & Brian. Never worked got a chance to work with them... blessing in disguise! I called and had a nice conversation with two guys. 1st Brian the owner, he sent me Cole's number. I then called Cole, we talked about work schedules, grandkids being here, etc then made a time for the next day. Cole asked me to send my address and I did... to the same number I had just called. Next day comes around and I get a text just before appt time asking me if we can make a time for him to come by. I stated that he was supposed to be at our house at 11. This is where it all goes to pot. Cole then told me we had never spoke. I asked him why I had sent my address to someone I had never spoken with. He continued to try to make an appt and I guess I'm just supposed to accept that I sent my personal info randomly and imagined the entire conversation from the day before! When the issue was pressed he called Brian, who reached out "to get to the bottom of this." I did not ask Cole to do this, although that is what he told Brian. When I called BRIAN THE OWNER back, he was insanely rude and asked me "what I expected him to do about it?" I told him an apology would be nice. At this point he informed me I was not his customer, he was NOT going to apologize, and he "didn't really care!" I was shocked!!!! And told him we would definitely be going with someone else and I would be sure to leave a review. He literally said, "byyyeeeeee" like a middle school brat and hung up on me! I called back to make sure Brian is the owner, which he confirmed. Then..... he called me back again! At this point I told him he should speak to people and especially potential customers with respect if he didn't want bad reviews, along with a few expletives. These guys are on top of it! After sending many inquires to other local synthetic grass companies for a quote, and never getting a response , I turned to HomeAdvisor. Colorado Turfin' quickly called me back, and was able to give me a quote with in just a few minutes. Now just a few days after the initial quote i have an amazing yard. The crew of 4 guys showed up early, which for me was a huge surprise because that never happens, and got to work immediately. The crew was very professional and didnt mind me asking questions and watching the process. They tore out the existing landscaping and installed the turf within just a few hours. Now we have a usable area outside that we actually are proud of. read more

Brian seemed liked a really great guy. Gave us a fair bid for yard. Told him we would do cash and that's when everything changed. I couldn't get anything on paper about the job. He wanted 1/2 payment before being clear about what job was to entail. He missed another meeting with us and he got mad when I asked about it. I'm sad to say may be a blessing, any contractor not willing to put out on paper what work will be done, I don't feel can be trusted. I had Brian and his team install synthetic turf in my backyard. I have dogs, and my doggie daycare center and other pet owners had said that artificial turf was the best for dogs. However, the drain that was installed by colorado turfin was done incorrectly. My turf has to be sprayed with deodorizer and cleaner everyday - twice a day in warm weather- due to the overwhelming smell. My doggie daycare center -which has 24 dogs at a time -does not have this smell problem! My neighbors with multiple dogs are so happy with theirs- done by another company- and they only clean and deodorize a few times a month. I called and talked to Brian a few days after it was done, and he was very rude and condescending. He would not take any responsibility for incorrectly putting in the drain. He seems to have no experience whatsoever with Turf for pets. I suggest if you have dogs to look elsewhere for turf installers. read more

Brian and his Dad were great! They fit me in to their schedule quickly, showed up on time, actually early, and did the install in a matter of hours. They are easy to work with and very accommodating. After they left, I felt like there may have been a small issue and they came righ back over later in the day to check on it. BTW, it wasn't an issue at all, just my lack of understanding about artificial turf. :) My yard looks fantastic now, my pup loves it, dog pooh it easy to clean up and the overall maintenance is simple. In fact, my two of my neighbors were so impressed they are using Colorado Turfin to install turf in their yards too. read more

DO NOT engage in business with Colorado Turfin! I feel robbed and taken advantage of by Mr. Brian Richardson, owner of Colorado Turfin'. There's a reason Colorado Turfin is given an F (!) by the BBB. He delivered a smooth pitch so I went with him for our turf project in March 2022. I soon became frustrated with his lack of communication and unprofessional behavior. He offered to terminate the contract on April 27 and give me a refund before any work was initiated and I accepted this offer as a means to peacefully each go our way. It's now been several weeks since he supposedly "sent" my refund but I have yet to receive my money back, which was several thousand dollars. Mr. Richardson refuses to give any exact information on when this money was "sent" and regardless I should have received it by now given that it's been several weeks since he told me he "sent" it. He's also now refusing to respond. I have now been scammed as Mr. Richardson terminated our contract before any work was initiated and has refused to ensure the return of our several thousands of dollars. He even laughed at me when I requested any proof that the deposit had been mailed back to me. Mr. Richardson unlawfully holding onto my money falls in line with a plethora of prior complaints regarding his lack of professionalism and predatory business practices. This is unacceptable business behavior and is direct violation of the Consumer Protection Act. Given Mr. Richardson's deception and unlawful withholding of my money resulting in his own personal financial gain, I am reported him to the Attorney General and Consumer Protection Agency as well as the Denver District Attorney's Consumer Protection Agency for fraud and I will pursue a Small Claims Action should he continue to withhold my money. read more

A little over a year ago I had Brian and his team install our backyard turf by the referral of my neighbor. They did a real good job and we had no problem tipping all the guys a total of $300. It was absolutely beautiful until....it all starting falling apart. I have been trying to get Brian to make good on his "warranty" since Last Sept. I would have given them a 1 because of me having to reach out so many times and the fact that Brian is flat out rude over text, but I gave a 2 because I do love the turf. Problem areas are; sink holes where bushes had been removed and we were informed that "they'd pack it down with their material" and all the seems are coming a part. Simple fix in a few hours yet I still can't get him out here...even to this day. He didn't even remember who I was . Come on Brian. read more

BUYER BEWARE! USE ANOTHER COMPANY! The owner Brian has the WORST customer service I have ever dealt with in my life. He is unbelievably rude and this was, of course, after I paid my nonrefundable deposit. The install itself was delayed on three different occasions and the first time it was without any notice - they just didn't show up. Brian had no care or concern that we took time off from work to be home. This is the first of several occasions where Brian was argumentative and rude. During the install several weeks later (and several phone calls from US to try to get them to come out), they talked us into using two pieces of turf instead of one telling us that the way the blades of grass were angled it would look better from the driveway. Well, that was a load of BS...it was because the wanted to use up the scrap material! The seam in the middle of the yard looks terrible and after repeated phone calls and a couple of MONTHS later Brian finally tells us it will cost several thousand to replace it even though we have the smallest yard you can imagine. And warranty...yeah right...if you can ever get the guy to call you back, don't expect that he will give a damn because he won't. He already got your money so why deal with you again? He couldn't care any less about your satisfaction or whether you will ever refer him or his company to anyone in the future. In my honest opinion, there are plenty of companies who want the jobs and are willing to give you good customer service because they have integrity and stand by their work. Met Brian at the Garden and Home show. He responded very quickly. I only had the one quote so don't really know if it was a good deal. I'm a bit disappointed in the finished product though because when he first came out I was told there would be only two small seams on either end of a oblongish shape area and we ended up with a rather long seam that is very apparent. Maybe the hot summer weather will help, I hope! Also a small side piece appears to be a different color maybe laid the wrong way. The edges aren't as clean and neat as I would like them to look. I feel more care could have been taken to install it nicer. I'd like to know why some of the reviews that were here when I first looked at them are now gone! What it looks like is a bunch of scrape pieces pieced together so he could save money and leave our lawn looking like crap 4-10-2017 Husband called today and got no results toward getting this job fixed. I'd go with any other Turf came company if I were starting anew. If he fixes I'll update review to reflect that. UPDATE: After discussions with Cheri Colorado Turfin came out and removed the previous installation and replaced it with a single seamless piece. It looks great. Thanks for the great work! read more

We met Brian and Steve at the Colorado Home and Garden Show. We were looking for a company to install turf in our back yard after deciding to give up in the battle of sustaining the yard with our three dogs. They were prompt in coming on site to discuss options and give us a quote. They showed up on time with a full crew of 5 and the work was done in less than a day. The install looks great, they hauled all the old materials away and cleaned up before they left. Even offered to help us move our patio furniture back into place! And the dogs love it, and no more battling brown spots with reseeding!! read more

When I called Brian, I explained what we needed (after being denied by other companies due to a small yard size) and my other poor experience. Brian made it very easy on my family and I and in 1 week was in our backyard doing the install. His crew was very nice and friendly, did a great job and knocked out my yard in a couple of hours. I can say without a doubt that my experience with Brian and his company was amazing, easy, efficient, quick and exactly what I needed after my poor experience with one of his competitors. We had Brian and his crew install our turf last spring (2017). We got a great quote for a small job that other companies did not want to do. Our yard has an irregular curvy shape and the crew from Colorado Turfin' did a great job with surface prep, cutting and installing around a fish pond with seams that are invisible. I thought I left this review before but it isn't on here. Strange. I had Brian and his team replace my grass in the backyard in the summer of 2016. I had him out previously to give me a quote. I had to wait a few months to get the approval from my HOA. When I called him back the price went up , of course, but he would "work with me". He didn't want to come out again to make sure the quote was correct and to make sure we were on the same page.(Red Flag #1) I made up a map of the back yard and showed it to him the morning he arrived. He looked at it and said great. When they were done at the end of day one an area that I wanted the edging moved wasn't. I called Brian and said it was on the map, I need it moved (all of 6 inches). He said they would get it done. The morning of day 2 he calls me from the road and tells me that he isn't going to move the edging. I told him that wasn't what we agreed on and he even agreed when he saw the map. We go back and forth while he mansplains to me that it will take an hour to fix the error that his guys made and he wasn't doing it. I told him that I wouldn't be paying him for the rest of the job then, he already had half. We finally agree that he will come and finish the install but not fix the error. Then he says he wants cash for the remaining balance, about $3700. There is no way I am giving this guy cash and told him he would receive a cashiers check. Apparently he doesn't know that a cashiers check is the same as cash. His guys mouthed off the entire job and at the end of the day I begrudgingly gave him his check. I would never recommend this guy to do anything. He acted like a child and the work was terrible. I had to bring out another company to fix all of the low spots and shotty work. He also laid the grass in the wrong direction. So much for a warranty when you have such an unprofessional person install it in the first place. Giving him one star is nice. read more

Having to reschedule a second time shows what little importance you place on the customer. Customer's take time off from work or family to put an appointment on a schedule.
