We had such a positive experience with Colorado Reconstruction Building Services! After a roof leak damaged our ceiling, John helped us find a great company to remove the damaged area. Then his wonderful crew, led by Ryan, came in and made our home look just right again, right down to carefully matching paint and tarping everything off so carefully to prevent any damage to our possessions. They always came when they said they would, and had excellent, courteous communication. I was referred to John and his company by a friend, and have to wholeheartedly agree that their work was first class, along with their integrity and customer service. read more

I recently had a gutter system installed in my basement, in order to mitigate a flooding issue. To do that, the company who performed the installation had to demo all the drywall and framing along the exterior wall, remove tile flooring in a bathroom and a closet, and pull up most of the carpet. In short, they had to nearly un-finish my entire basement. CRBS was one of only a handful of contractors who would even return my request for an estimate, and their bid was the lowest by a few thousand dollars. They repaired the framing, replaced retextured & repainted the drywall, reinstalled what tile they could salvage from the bathroom, then custom-cut/painted new tile to match, completely retiled the closet, stripped & epoxied the laundry room floor, installed new baseboard, restretched the carpet and even did some new electrical work, all while coming in under their estimate. There were only a couple of minor issues with the job, both of which were immediately remedied. They even worked on a weekend to fix one, which I still feel kinda bad about. They were also very flexible in scheduling. An issue with the company installing the gutter resulted in that job getting delayed by a couple of weeks. CRBS was able to accommodate that last-minute change and get me rescheduled within a week. They also put me in touch with a restoration company that helped me unload, store, then replace the contents of my basement. I'd happily use their services again. read more

Our kitchen floor tile had to be replaced after we had some water damage. The kitchen tile was replaced, but a couple days later it started cracking (tile and grout) . The tile was scrapped and replaced, but now a year later we are seeing more grout and tile cracking in our kitchen. We will need our kitchen floor tiles completely removed because of poor oversight and workmanship. I already have been in talks with a local contractor because I cannot trust that this will be fixed the right way with Colorado Reconstruction Building Services. read more

We are in construction. Specifically environmental demolition. We do not rebuild, and are often asked who we can recommend to rebuild someone's home. I always refer John at CRBS. Here is why....he is responsive. He comes from a long line of tradesmen in his family, and he knows your reputation is really all you have at the end of the day. He will not take a job if he doesn't think his company can do it completely. I have referred him to my Mom's house for deck and stucco repair. That right there is the level of trust I have in him and his crews. read more

To any potential client; do your research, there are far better companies whom conduct themselves with greater levels of professionalism and, as a result, are true professionals as it relates to the work they conduct! As I'm sure you can see and as is stated in several other reviews, the quality of the work that you end up getting stuck with is going to be sub par, at best. For such high dollar value work, it is not unreasonable to expect to receive a professional and complete level of quality! Included in this assessment review is reflection of, and in regards to: getting an accurate quote, the job to be completed within an agreed upon and reasonable timeframe, skilled workers and craftsmanship and a certain level of professionalism. This company epically failed in every one of these categories. I attempted to bring these concerns to Mr. John Cofrin and was left with an impression that can best and most politely be described as someone who shouldn't even be considered to be a manager. You would figure as am individual who paid close to $30,000 for a project that my concerns would be addressed. However, I regret to say that they certainly were not. The company had their money and that's all he/they cared about (and basically implied as much). This has been one of (if not THE) most unprofessional, unethical, and uncaring individuals that I have ever conducted business with! I won't say don't hire this company however, I'm sure you can guess what my opinion on the subject would be. In short and in conclusion, I will say, DO YOUR RESEARCH!! read more

This is a fantastic company to do business with! I had a small project, there was a leaking drain pipe inside one of my walls. Knowing it was a smaller project, trying to find a contractor that wanted to do the work was difficult. John had no issues taking the job. He scheduled the work a to start a week after I called (incredible)! Josh came out and did some exploratory work to make sure there wasn't other leaks that needed repaired, talk about professionalism, going above what was the known issue. Josh did amazing work, I can't even tell where there were holes in my walls. The plumbing company that John had come out was amazing too (Tyco). The work they had to do was in a very small tight space and they had no issues and fixed the problem in a few hours. John was so professional and nice, he kept me updated on the schedule, the work that was needed to be done, the invoicing and checked in after every step that was done. If you need a general contractor that knows what he's doing and will provide the BEST work and is just a pleasure to work with, John is your person! I would and will recommend him to everyone that I know is looking for someone like this. Thanks for everything John, Josh and Tyco! read more

I had such a wonderful experience with this company! We had a leak in our basement and needed to reconstruct a closet/part of hallway. John was great - nice, professional, responsive and (bonus) careful/thoughtful about COVID. John got me on their schedule right away and the guy, Josh, who did the actual work was awesome. The basement looks just as it did before the leak. Josh was also quiet, respectful and efficient, which was especially nice since my husband and I both work from the basement. I would definitely use this company in the future and recommend them to others. Thanks, John and Josh! read more

Great experience with John and his crew. So pleased with the results. They tiled around the bathtub, hung doors, textured and painted ceilings, and painted the walls on the main floor. Cleaned up when they were done for the day. This was a several week job, as some of the materials were back ordered. Communication was stellar. Always knew what to expect, no surprises. read more

John and his crew were far more than helpful. Santiago did an AMAZING job on my basement redo (it flooded). They made the whole process painless, worked with my insurance, and were ahead on time. I sincerely appreciate how responsive and professional they were. I hope I don't have to use them again for reconstruction but if I ever had another issue I'd call them first! read more

We had a rather small job at our rental property that needed to be done quickly in order to retain our renter. Due to the current demand for construction other contractors were not very interested in working with us, but John and his team found time in their schedule to get the job done and done very well. They were reasonably priced as well as courteous and professional every step of the way. Their drywall, texturing and painting was excellent and they ensured our satisfaction before final payment was due. It was a genuine pleasure working with CO Reconstruction and I would highly recommend them to anyone. read more

This company was recommended to me by our interior designer. The process was smooth from start to finish. Any delay due to materials was immediately conveyed. Working with John was seamless. I will say that his contractor Carlos had immense pride in his job. I often find that with construction the people performing the job do the bare minimum and do not take pride in their work, this was NOT the case with Carlos. Not only was he clean and VERY professional but because of his eye for detail the project came out amazing. He took out the bullnose in our tv cutout to make the brick fit better and without it I think it would've looked a bit weird. I was happy he had the idea to think of doing that. Also, when doing the brick grout he said "do you want your brick grout square or rounded?" Seriously?! That blew me away that he would ask such a minor(yet not) detail. Carlos was amazing from start to finish and we will definitely be using Johns company again for our future remodel needs! read more
