I've been seeing Dr. Bainbridge and Michelle now for... 2.25 years now, and they have been super…read moreaccommodative and helpful, the entire time I have been in their care. Their office staff is knowledgeable and also helpful, in that they will send you what needs to be filled out, paperwork-wise, or what you need to know before a procedure via PDF, etc etc... They specialize in back pain, typically, but they can do MANY different things. Dr. Bainbridge as well as the other body therapists and NPs, Doctors, etc are all very knowledgeable and can usually tell you if they can help you out with your issues, or if you may need to see a surgeon, or whatever else may be needed... but they will for sure take good care of you, and get you through the "process" with minimal bullcrap. They of course have to follow the rules and restrictions that the State and Federal government place on them, but they are also understanding people and they will help you if you are in pain, for sure. I still have some day to day pain, that peaks in between doses of my medicines, but considering that my spinal column is in pretty awful shape... they have got me to the point where, I can at least sort of get out and do some things. I was basically stuck in the house all the time before I got in to see them, and I don't regret my choice in provider at all.

Got there 10 minutes late for my 1:20 appointment, even though the office is closed until 1:30 and their phones are not answered because of lunch break. Tried to call them to let them know but got that message. Receptionist checked me in to let Amy know I was there. I proceeded to wait another 10 minutes until the receptionist comes out and tells me I can't be seen because I was late. Yet for my first appointment I waited over 30 minutes to see the doctor. I guess it doesn't work in both directions. What a complete waste of gas and time driving an hour. Will never go back here

From the outset, the intake process was chaotic and redundant. I was required to complete identical…read moreintake paperwork multiple times -- online, over the phone, in person. During the phone intake, a staff member asked about my "second appendix surgery," which reflects a concerning lack of basic medical understanding and attention to accuracy. Upon arrival at the clinic, a patient exited an exam room yelling profanities about one of the medical staff, referring to him in derogatory terms. Front desk staff did not appear surprised or corrective, even agreeing with her, which created an unprofessional and unsettling environment. Once taken to the exam area, I was again asked to verbally repeat the same information already provided multiple times. My pharmacy information was listed on two intake forms and verbally confirmed with staff, who entered it into the computer in my presence. I would like to acknowledge that the physician assistant, Chris Kottenstette, provided a thorough and understandable explanation of how pain responses affect the brain and body. I appreciated that portion of the consultation. He recommended a non-narcotic prescription medication and discussed two potential nerve block procedures, one of which I declined. However, the follow-through on the medication prescription was nonexistent. After returning home, I never received notification from my pharmacy. When I contacted the office, I was told they did not have my pharmacy information. This was after it had already been provided in writing twice and verbally confirmed. I confirmed the pharmacy again and was told the prescription would be ready after 5:00 p.m. Shortly after that phone call, another staff member called stating they still did not have my pharmacy information. In total, my pharmacy details were provided five times within approximately two hours. A week later, still nothing. The only action that appears to have been completed efficiently was scheduling a surgical procedure. Given the repeated administrative failures and lack of basic follow-through on a simple prescription, I did not feel confident proceeding with an invasive intervention. I cancelled the procedure. When I notified the surgical center of my cancellation, I was told they are "not at all affiliated" with Colorado Pain Care. However, publicly available information indicates that the co-founder and CEO of the practice is also associated with the surgical center where I was scheduled. And one of the office staff they transferred me to said she is a staff member of Colorado Pain Care and does office at the surgical center. This conflicting information raises additional concerns regarding transparency. I requested both the clinic and the surgical center email me a confirmation that the surgery was cancelled - given their lack of follow-through I wanted to make sure they weren't going to either charge me a no-show or try to pull one over on my insurance. But wait...there's more! A week before the surgery, I got a call from the surgical center confirming the surgery. When I read the cancellation email to them from their own staff member, they said they have no one on staff by that name. It literally came from someone with the business email address for Summit View Surgery Center. She then called me back to say, "oh yes...she does work here". I felt like I was in the twilight zone with everyone I met here. The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing and neither one of them are putting a needle in my spine. A resounding vote of no confidence. The website emphasizes holistic, patient-centered care. Unfortunately, my experience felt transactional and procedure-driven rather than patient-focused. Not to mention a complete circus.

I have a long history with MD Pain, starting in 2013 after an accident when I started seeing Dr…read more Kevin Smith. The doctors are amazing and are the reason I stayed as long as I did. However, the consistent difficulty dealing with the front office staff became increasingly frustrating to deal with so I left. I returned in 2022 after being told things had changed. Dr. Merkow was helpful, extremely knowledgeable and understanding of my unique medical situation. However, the management (specifically Office Manager Dava Thomas and recently new manager Daniel Li) maintain a toxic environment where administrators override medical needs. After four years as a consistent monthly patient with no major issues, I received a sudden "probationary letter" in February 2026. This was never discussed with me face-to-face at my monthly appointments or by my provider whom I see monthly and understands my unique health challenges. When I asked for clarification, I was publicly interrogated and scolded by Daniel Li regarding my attendance and private medical matters in a humiliating, dehumanizing way. Following Mr. Li's behavior, I emailed Dava Thomas. My concerns were met with excuses, and despite not breaking a single probationary condition, I was abruptly discharged via email for "attendance patterns." In her letter, she claimed my missed appointments were "not related to my medical condition," despite not being qualified to make that determination and never inquiring about my specific disabilities or reviewing the accommodations I requested. She essentially made a medical determination with zero qualification or documentation to back it up. Their internal records are a mess of contradictions. For example, on 1/9/2026, their ledger marked me as a "No Show," yet they billed Medicare for a face-to-face visit and issued my refills that same day. At MD Pain, you cannot receive a monthly supply without being physically present. Their records are either negligently incorrect or they are billing for visits that never happened while simultaneously charging patients no-show fees. Furthermore, they have me marked as a "No Show" on dates when I proactively called for guidance due to my medical situation; on those calls, I was explicitly told by staff to cancel and reschedule without any mention of fees or disciplinary procedures. To then use those exact instances as grounds for probation and discharge is deceptive and professionally negligent. The office's preoccupation with its online reputation is disturbing. During a routine checkout, I was rudely questioned by Dava Thomas about whether I had left a review. It felt less like a request for feedback and more like an interrogation to see if I was responsible for recent negative comments. Patients here report being threatened with dismissal for honest feedback. It is telling that the negative reviews here are detailed and specific, while the generic more positive reviews seem curated to hide the reality of how patients are "processed." In the business of healthcare, especially pain management, it is abhorrent to treat vulnerable populations in such an abusive and dismissive manner. I have documentation to back up all my experiences.

If any readers are consulting with MD Pain or scheduled for a procedure at Lone Tree Surgery Center, BE FOREWARNED!!!: they're all considerate and hospitable until something goes wrong - then they disappear behind their corporate "firewalls" leaving you with your pain and misery, to fend for yourself. In October of last year, I underwent surgery at Lone Tree Surgery Center owned and operated by MD Pain. After the surgery, something hard smacked my head fracturing a tooth, breaking my jaw, and giving me a bleeding mouth wound. When confronted about this incident, MD Pain pawned me off to Lone Tree Surgery Center's administrator who pawned me off to their insurer who then pawned me off to their law firm who smugly claimed my wounds were due to pre-existing conditions and therefore not worth an investigation. I should note that 6 consultations with dentists, physicians and an oral surgeon, plus 3 Xrays and an MRI all confirmed my wounds were due to traumatic head injury. A must worse condition followed - 15 months and counting of painful neck spasms, hard muscle cramps and severe headaches every-single-friggin'-day! So I'm initiating a medical malpractice claim against MD Pain and the surgery center and using whatever means at my disposal to spread the word about their nefarious pretense of patient care. Hah!

I understand the importance of keeping scheduled visits and take responsibility for that. At my most recent visit, when I arrived late, I was informed by the receptionist that I would not be able to see the doctor and that I could no longer be scheduled for future appointments. I asked about obtaining referrals from Dr. Harlander-Locke so I could continue my care elsewhere, but was told I would need to speak with the practice manager. I left a message but have not yet received a return call. I was also not aware that I had reached a "two strikes" threshold, and I would have appreciated clearer communication regarding that policy. At this point, my prescribed medication has run out, and I have not yet been able to establish care with a new pain management provider despite actively trying for the past few weeks. I have always taken my medication as prescribed and have been on this treatment for many years. I am desperate for continuity of care, yet the office staff does not seem to care. They repeatedly say they have 24-48 hours to respond and the clock restarts with each new person you leave a message. Colorado Orthopedic Consultants in Aurora is an organized office. They sent me texts and emails prior to the appointment to get paperwork filled out. Once I arrived I had a short wait to see the doctor. His PA came in first and looked at my ankle and then I had X-rays done to check on status of fracture and healing. Dr. Meyers evaluated the X-rays and found my ankle was healing. All of the rooms I was in were clean and stocked with cleaning wipes. The office has a large area for physical therapy that I just saw. Dr. DeLaRosa immediately said he was very concerned on my first visit and ordered blood tests and took x-rays and told me that there is definitely something delaying the union of the bone and it was not okay to keep waiting. Within 2 weeks, we had performed surgery and my bone had been stuck in the muscle the whole time and was never going to heal without surgery. Dr DeLaRosa put in a plate and screws and the bone is literally in perfect alignment again! Today my arm is nearly back to full function and better every day! Around age one my baby began experiencing extreme sleep problems. She had always put herself to sleep easily and usually sleep through the night without issue. Suddenly she was upset and difficult at bedtime and waking with a scream several times a night. I didn't know what to do or what was the cause. It was terrible and impacting my whole family. After many months of trying lots of different things, we sought Katie's help. Within two one-hour sessions my sweet girl went to bed with simply "night night Mom," and slept soundly the whole night!
