Where to begin? We had been researching spas for more than a year, and finally pulled the trigger last fall on the make/model we decided on (Bullfrog R7L). Had a positive experience from the start (Derek at the Castle Rock location), to regular status updates to/from CSR (Barrett at the Denver location), through delivery/setup (Chase/Rex/Andre from the Denver location) through follow-up and troubleshooting (Derek again, and Evan at Denver location). FIve stars all the way through! Additional detail for exemplary review: Spa was initially wired by an independent licensed electrician (NOT associated with Colorado Custom Spas) who made enough mistakes to render the spa dead in the water (no pun intended), which became apparent immediately after filling. When the issues were reported to Derek, his immediate concern was the sub-freezing temperatures that were expected that night. He personally drove from Castle Rock to Elizabeth after hours to deliver a submersible pump to ensure the components didn't freeze. He also arranged for Evan to come up the following morning. He inspected the initial wiring (again, NOT done by an electrician associated with CCS), came up with a fix to provide heat and circulation immediately, and provided input on the other errors he identified that needed to be addressed for safety reasons. He also provided input to the previous electrician to ensure that corrective action was taken care of by the party that made the errors. On top of all this, he called back the following day to check in! Typically, not a user of social media to either torch vendors online with negative reviews, or give glowing reviews when either is not warranted. In this case, however, I thought I would be remiss not to recognize exemplary customer service, especially in a day and age where this seems to be a foreign concept to many businesses. read more

We met Sam Gore and were blown away! He and his team were nice and educational. Not pushy at all. They helped us figure out what would work for our project. And even consulted with our landscaper. My wife and I purchased a spa from them in 2020 or 2021 and it was a very easy, pleasant experience, and the spa has been fantastic. I'm actually a little jealous that we went before they moved to their new showroom, because it is huge and very nice. The reason I'm writing the review, though, is that this winter I was trying to clear an airlock after refilling my spa and inadvertently broke a piece on the pump where it connects to the hose. I called up Colorado Custom Spas for help and they recognized it was an emergency (the tub was draining through the broken hose, couldn't be run, and it was going to freeze that night). After I texted them a picture of the broken part, they knew what needed to be done, grabbed a replacement part I could swap in by myself (and explained how) and stayed open until I got there on a Friday evening, and didn't even charge me for the part. Great sales, terrible follow-through/customer service Our salesman was great, and we found the perfect spa that arrived ahead of schedule. But we've been working with them for 6 weeks to have the cover-lift installed, and they have sent 3 different crews who have no experience installing this particular cover-lift. Each has failed, with a different explanation. We can't use the hot tub until the lift is installed, and each time they fail, we have to wait at least a week for them to schedule a different crew. Have had a few issues with the spa since installing in SEP, but Evan and his crew have been very helpful throughout. Most recently, the tub stopped heating during our recent round of sun-zero temps. I put into practice everything they had shown us in NOV/DEC to ensure we kept water flowing and tried every option they gave us to "self-correct." Spoke on a Friday, had no success; by the time I reached out Monday morning, a technician was on the way and by the time I got home Monday night, the tub was repaired and almost to temperature to use. Sure appreciate all the support and training; I am not the easiest customer to deal with but the team at Colorado Custom Spas handled every encounter with professionalism and courtesy. read more

Very pleased, overall, by our experience with Colorado Custom Spas. The highlights are: * No sales pressure. None. They let us wander around, ask questions when WE wanted to, and otherwise left us alone to think and discuss. I can never overstate how sales-sharky most spa dealers are -- but I never felt even a hint of that at Colorado Custom Spas. That alone is why I've already cheerfully recommended this company to several friends, and will continue to! * Delivery. It was quick and painless, and they made sure we were happy before they left. * Post-purchase customer service. We had a couple kinks after the tub was delivered and running, and they were happy to send someone out each time free of charge to straighten it out. Huge props to CCS for their awesome customer service. One word of advice, however: we purchased a 110 model, and despite being assured it would get up to 104° (but just slower than 220 models), it would not. Moreover, the temperature couldn't recover once we got in the hot tub in the winter. It would drop about a degree every 15 minutes and take 3 DAYS to bounce back to a maximum of 101°. We converted it (and our home's electrical capabilities) to 220 and everything is fine now. But please, don't buy a hot tub and expect a 110 electrical hookup to fly... It won't. read more

We took the time to check this place out and visited them. The first two spa producers' products they showed us were Artisan and Bullfrog. By the way, the Bullfrog has 16 different ket packs to choose from. Interesting idea but it didn't interest us. We were intrigued by their Strong Spa line from Island Spas. Liked their patented hard plastic covers (would think they they hold up and last through weather better), but were encouraged to pay 1K more and get this Artisan one instead. Not sure if they get more commission on these two brands (Artisian and Bullfrog), but I found the in store experience matched my initial on the phone experience. We aren't interested in full foam hot tubs and let them know this--due to a possible nightmare of getting to the components of any future maintenance issues. So Strong Spas would have worked, but the actual tub seemed to have a thin "floor" which seemed to bow a bit when a pretty average guy went in. So we left realizing we would have to continue our search. For those looking for Artisan and Bullfrog hot tubs, this place might be a match for you! read more

Looking for an Artesian Santa Cruz, and Colorado Custom Spas quoted me $7500. A week later it was hiked up to $7900. The nice salesman said it was due to high demand. When my husband and I moved to Colorado we dreamed of having a hot tub. Anyone who lives here knows it's part of the culture. We went to seven different dealers of spas and every one has a party line as to why theirs is the best and you really need to wade through all the rhetoric and quite frankly, all the dealers were very nice to us because well, they want to sell us a spa that is a pricy item. Colorado Custom was the last place we visited. It was right before Labor Day weekend and they were very busy showing off their BullFrog Spas and their Clearwater Spas If you haven't checked out a BullFrog spa you haven not done your homework . They are very, very nice spas and have the most powerful jets! Our salesperson Sam was very helpful and stayed late so we could go home and grab our suits (because when you are over 50 no one wants to see you nekkid!) so we could wet test the spa. We purchased a refurbished Clearwater Spa and could not be happier with it. Delivery was scheduled about a month later because we needed to build out the paver patio and pull a permit with the city. Pulling a permit is a bit pricy but is in your best interest because of safety issues you haven't even thought of. For example, EFT certification which not all spas have as we learned when we purchased a spa from another company. Needless to say we had to cancel that order. Anyway, the fact that we had to schedule further out for delivery and were permitting the work was no issue for Sam and his band of merry men. Stewart Electric did the hookup and passed inspection and the spa was delivered and set up as promised. No sales pitch on products and NO CUSSING! We have since ordered chemicals that arrived quickly and were competitively priced. So far so good. Thanks so much Sam! Oh, well maybe one negative is we didn't get a rubber ducky! read more

We bought our artesian spa from Colorado custom spas at the home show in February. It was the easiest transaction ever! The customer service rep that was there from Vegas was very informational and discussed everything with me before my purchase. I felt super comfortable with what I was buying and what I was getting myself into. LOL Dan , Steve and shaun brought and set up my spa six weeks after I call to have it ordered. They were professional, early in my two hour window for my expected delivery and explained everything to me before they left. They were not in a rush and they made me feel very comfortable with my education on this file when I left. I would recommend them to anyone. It's the best thing I ever bought! I've only have the spa a couple months now. After enjoying the spa one evening ,I went to pull over the cover and realized the Metal parts that help maneuver the top over the tub were bent. I seriously was baffled. This was Saturday so Monday I have my husband call the company to see what if anyone else has had this problem. The man on the phone took down what happened and called my husband back the next day. He Told my husband that he must've been hanging on the cover and that it took up to 350 pounds so he doesn't know what we did to it but it was definitely our fault and custom spas wouldn't cover under warranty. I was apalled by the sheer rudeness of how his communication was with a recent customer that had paid over $8000 for a tub. He gave us two options and said we could come pick up the parts but he really was reluctant to give them to us on how it broke. Or have somebody come out for $100 and put it together. At this point the only reason that your company gets three stars is because the tub is awesome and the delivery guys were professional, informative and made up for what you recently did overall. You should be ashamed for how you treat customers. I will try to find the filters elsewhere but if I have to go back to you then I guess that's what I have to do because of the tub specifics. I WILL not be recommending you in the future. And pleased anyone that has one of these covers watch out for the metal parts on the cover. We were only in the tub for 20 minutes and it must've just collapse under its own weight for some reason. The guys that installed the tub also put the cover and its components together. Cant blame that on us either. Mistakes do happen and we're human but it was unrealistic for the gentleman to think that we would call hoping to get something done that we had been responsible for. it had been less than three months we have had the tub. Get some customer service training and realize that word-of-mouth is more powerful than anything. read more

Once we picked the tub we wanted the process was smooth sailing. Even with a crane being needed, and all the associated drama with that - they took care of it all.
