They give you the paint you're going to use. I always want like 20 colors of paint. I know so many people want like 3-5 colors of paint. That's not me. It seemed to be fine for everyone else. But I would have liked to dole out my own paint, because they gave me the wrong amounts because they didn't know how much I was going to use on any of it. So they gave me the same amount for all the colors. Not unreasonable. I am autistic and I have trouble speaking when a situation is new to me. So I couldn't articulate this at the time. The vibe is not relaxed and the employees made it weird. They lost my husband's pot and tried to give us someone else's artwork. They eventually found it and then tried to shove his and mine into the same small bag. I tried to prevent this and the woman working there argued with me, about a bag. Seriously, we paid an exorbitant amount of money to paint our pots for my birthday and the pick up experience was worse than the painting. Just awkward. There are other paint your own studios in the area. Try those. read more

Color Me Mine is the perfect place to go on a boring day or for a date if you're okay with spending quite a bit of money. Color Me Mine has the perfect crafting atmosphere with soft music and bright colors. It is a very quiet and intimate place perfect for conversation most hours but can get a bit crowded and overwhelming sometimes since the store is a bit small. The staff are very attentive and friendly, they do a great job of explaining how to paint ceramics to all ages and if you need help executing something they can help. There is a wide variety of paint colors to choose from, I remember there being more than twenty color options that you can customize on a mixing palette. The pottery itself is already made with a decent selection ranging from animal statues to plates and mugs. It's pretty pricey with the average pottery items being $25-$35 and an additional $12 for people ages 13 and up. The fees do include access to any glazes and supplies all day as well as piece firing. I've had a great time when I've gone, and think this is one of the best crafting date spots to go to if you're willing to spend some money. read more

Great fun, but it is quite pricey. On top of the price of the ceramic object you decide to paint, they have a $10 fee per person. I thoroughly had fun going there and painting a martini glass, but I was disappointed in how much it ended up costing me. If you are looking for a fun time and money is not an object then I do recommend this. They have several examples, colors and stamps that allow you to be creative. We've gone here several times. Great fun with the kiddos. Once was with a bachelorette party. 3 times as a date day with my husband. He was sure he wasn't going to like it and actually had a wonderful time. He's the one who's wanted to keep going back. They have an "ok" selection to choose from. I have to admit that I think their prices are a bit ridiculous. There's a $10 fee per adult. They do get your paints for you and wait on you practically hand and foot. Customer service has always (with the exception of 1 visit) been terrific. It's usually quite in the middle of the day and we stay for about 3 hours. Seems like a lot of time but we take our time and enjoy talking and 'being' together. Would definitely recommend but like I said their on the pricey side. read more
