Reasonable price, great owner, and nice location…read more Came in for an oil change and to track down the cause of a recurring stall issue with my Volkswagen Tiguan. The mechanic listened, asked good follow-up questions, made sure he understood the problem before drawing any conclusions, and then diagnosed it cleanly. The part arrived within the window he quoted (2-3 hours), was installed without fuss, and the final bill was reasonable. What stood out as much as the technical work: he flagged a slow coolant leak and a minor oil leak -- this is an older car, so neither was a shock -- but there was no pressure to pile on services. He showed me rough estimates so I'd have them when I'm ready and left the decisions to me. That kind of straightforward, no-upsell approach is rarer than it should be. The waiting area is a genuine plus: free wifi, a table big enough to work at, and a small fridge with complimentary drinks, large TV. My one suggestion would be to add a coffee in the AM. Also, the door to the reception currently reads "B". Might want to avoid any confusion with better signage. That said, I am a big fan of this establishment and will be using them for repairs in the future (apparently sooner than I want :) Bonus: he pointed me to a wonderful Indian place across the street, Biryani, which I'd highly recommend if you have time to kill while your car is being worked on.

I ended up needing more work done and while it was expensive as cars are it didn't cost an arm and a leg. Gia the manager was also just pleasant to talk to and very communicative overall. She even offered to let me come around the desk to type in my credit card number for privacy which I felt was a thoughtful gesture. Overall my experience was great and my car feels better! Untrustworthy! My car was in good condition, extremely reliable. Took it there for some work and…read morewas told I needed extensive repairs and replacement of certain parts. After the car was returned, my starter would not work - I had to replace a starter that had NEVER failed me. After an oil change, I took it back because it was leaking. I was told NO, everything was fine. It turned out it was not fine and ALL of the oil had leaked out of my car. So very SAD. Denial and excuses were made for every issue. I had to spend nearly $900 to replace and/or fix what they had already charged me hundreds of dollars to do. I would never, ever recommend their services for anything. I could say more, but I won't.

DISAPPOINTING TO SAY THE LEAST. I went here to get the oil filter housing unit replaced on my car…read moreand was given a quote for the job. It took three weeks to get the parts delivered only to find out that it was the wrong one. When I tried to call to see if the parts had come in yet, their service technician, Howard, told me somewhat rudely, that he would call me when they came in but never did. I had to call them back after another shop told me that they didn't do that type of work. Once they reordered the correct parts and completed the job, I was charged an additional $100 more than what was on the initial quote. The worst part is that I was told over the phone by Howard that it would only be an additional $80 only to have 20 more magically added to the total by the time I got there. The only reason I'm giving this review more than a star is that they did seem to do a decent job at replacing the housing unit. But I can't trust or recommend any business that isn't upfront about all costs before they begin work. I recommend Big Al's in Plymouth as a last resort only for mechanic work, but I would question them about every detail to ensure honesty.
