I placed the entire order online so I can't speak to customer service but their site was easy to use and I will definitely consider them when placing orders in the future. MAKE THE NEW LEAF YOUR "FIRST CHOICE" FOR FLOWERS!!!…read more ... is what's requested in "About Our Company" -- and I must emphatically agree! They DO, as also stated, "go the extra mile to make your floral gift perfect." Shopping online from Maine, theirs was the 5th or 6th on-the-ground real, in-town (vs. online) floral shop I researched, following discovering them here, thanks to Yelp. Nobody offered what was shown on the typical FTD or Teleflora, it seemed. Only, I needed something special for my friend, who'd suddenly lost her husband. Arrangements offered by others weren't right for my artistic friend's elegantly designed and furnished home and tastes, nor the expression I'd hoped to achieve. THE NEW LEAF's, however, were phenomenal. I was blown away! Never had I seen such beautifully designed arrangements -- indeed, "beautiful floral designs" -- which is why I chose them. I selected "Soft Serenity" for the balanced trio of greens, lilac and whites, and balanced artful composition, too -- only to be sad seeing what'd arrived had substituted some yellow and other flowers. Uh-oh... Calling Dina with my disappointment, however, I was kindly offered either a refund or to send again. We worked closely to ensure that softly serene design I sought for comfort was replicated as closely as one can... I'm so glad I did! My friend was just over the moon with superlatives! While the first was nice, the second was absolutely Wonderful, she'd said. And just now on the phone she shared how the arrangement was simply Magnificent. "Wonderful" and "Magnificent" are pretty exceptional descriptors of their designs... All-in-all, a terrific value and experience. I've saved Dina's number for the next time I need something special for my friend in Virginia Beach.

At first visit, Sara and James were friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. My vague wishes: "she likes low maintenance, maybe an orchid or an arrangement in the $75 range." She offered to create a fresh and unique arrangement in summer colors AND have an orchid dressed so I could choose; she even ok'd pickup outside of their normal hours. Turns out, I ended up needing it a day sooner...and they came through, calling to update me when needed. At pick-up, James said "I saw this peach double orchid and knew it was for your friend." That's personalized service at its finest!

My daughter is in an unhealthy relationship with her boyfriend and his mother. They made her pregnancy a nightmare. I wasn't certain if he would send her flowers so I thought that I would. Flying blind I googled florists. I absolutely refuse to use a tele service ever again after receiving the most horrible arrangement ever and I thought they were beautiful until my friend showed me a picture of what she ordered and what she paid for after she complained to the website they dispatched to another florist and had another arrangement sent which was incredible. So I'm really reluctant to use a website for long distance delivery So I stumbled onto The flower Lady and I saw this designer's choice option, but there weren't any photos of what the designer's choice might be. But the other arrangements are beautiful but I wanted something big and over the top because she just needed something special as she and my grandson. I wrote detailed description of the situation at hand as well as you know it's a boy and my my message and I asked her to please make it special and over the top because of that. Baby was born in the evening so the store was already closed when I logged on and I called at 9:00 a.m. my time and the flowers were already delivered and she said that she made it extra special and sent me a photo. I didn't ask for a balloon but I signed the card I love you to the Moon and back and she said we have one of those balloons so I added that to the arrangement. And it was the most beautiful arrangement with the prettiest blooms. And done within hours of them opening and it was already on its way to the hospital. The special care and attention that she gave was just incredible. If you have a need for florist in the Chesapeake Virginia Beach area you cannot go wrong with The flower Lady

I spoke with Justin at Sunflower Florist while inquiring about wedding day floral arrangements…read more During our consultation call, Justin was very helpful and broke down the costs of each of the arrangements my fiancé and I wanted. I let him know our budget of $600 for flowers and over the phone he estimated that what we wanted would likely come out to just over 1,000 with Sunflower Florist. Sunflower Florist was the first floral shop I reached out to and when I told Justin this, and he sensed my sticker shock, he told me to take some time to think on it and to reach out to other florists in the area to price compare. I was surprised that he advised the latter but really respected and appreciated his suggestion. As I researched other florists and thought more about what we wanted, Justin continued to check-in and follow up to see if we were still interested in having the shop do our wedding flowers. While, we ultimately accepted a kind offer from a coworker to arrange our flowers, we really appreciated Justin's follow-up and customer service.
