Are you cabin feverish?? Has all your time away from your soul-sucking job been spent in what you…read morenow realize is a sad box of IKEA/Wayfair/TJ Maxx/Amazon cookie cutter crap art?? If home is a condo on the fifteenth floor of a filing cabinet for widows and young professionals, let me assure you, friends- you do NOT have to send your furniture and personal effects blowing out of your windows and flaming into the night to break free of that prison!!! You can *instead* head down to Weirdo Wonderland and fill your space with whatever your dark little disturbing heart desires. This is a gem of a place and the stuff of dreams for sci-fi and vintage horror fans. Unusual and cheeky patches, posters, pins, paperbacks, gifts... and what I personally came to find: their print selection which is to die for! It is not too big, but what is lacks in size it MORE than makes up for in quirky. For the amount of stuff they have, they are super well organized and looks like a labor of love- even the ceiling tiles are decorated!! It's in Milford, so maybe 15mins from New Haven (or apparently 5min if you're a CT bred driver)- either way, definitely worth a visit!! They're also on instagram (which is a blessing since the website is kind of janky). It reminds me of Strange Ways in New Haven (one of the few independent stores with personality around these parts) and I only wish a portion of Weirdo Wonderland's selection was offered online, much like Strange Ways'. If you're gonna consume (and you know you will...) consume small and local!!!

I would say my apartment is almost fully furnished by them (if only they sold furniture lol!) Truly one of my favorite shops to visit in the whole state. The staff is always very friendly and their items are reasonably priced. They also host pop-up events a few times a year which offers a great opportunity for local vendors and artists to get some exposure. Can't wait for my next visit!

I had a great experience getting two posters framed here for my wife's birthday. The staff were…read moreknowledgeable, and they patiently consulted with me about my framing options. I told them I'd need the frames done fairly quickly, since my wife's birthday was only a week away. They called me two days later saying the frames were ready to pick up-- and they looked awesome! Custom framing is never cheap, but if you're in the market for that kind of thing (and this was my first time seeking it out), Hull's is a terrific place to go. Every part of the experience was efficient, professional, and friendly.

I only went when I had no clue there were other art stores. Unless you're an industry professional (which is disappearing due to AI), employees treat you like the dirt on the bottom of their shoe. They have "discounts", but they just cover sales taxes. I'm a loyal artist and craftsman customer and I miss them sorely. Went back here after 6 years because gas is too expensive to go further out. Still charging top dollar. $22 for 3 small bottles of acrylic paint and two brushes! Customer experience improved, but I still very much felt less than because I wasnt a customer they prefer. You guys have a lot of work to do to win me back.

So in love with this place! I finally stopped in after passing it by so many times. They have an…read moreamazing selection of paper goods, party supplies, and shipping supplies. Tissue wrap, bags, and ribbon in pretty much any any color or pattern you could want. I was very impressed by the prices as well. Everything is priced more than fairly, and most of it is cheaper than what you'd pay at a party good store. I absolutely love that I can support a local business and get a great deal at the same time. The staff was very friendly as well. Eager to help but not overbearing. I will definitely be back here again. As a small business owner, the products I can get here are indispensable. So happy I finally checked it out!!!

What do you need in paper and boxes - they got it! Well at least everything we needed. We stopped in to get boxed and shredded xmas paper for sending gifts ( early!) Simply put what make them special, besides the selection, is the welcoming and friendly folks. Everyone gets greeted, they checked in on what we needed. Last time we visited, we asked about small rolls of brown shipping paper to warp some for the boxes we had at home. What we saw was a HUGE roll. Other stores would have said, "no, sorry". This tore, "hold on, we will open this and cut/roll what you need". Awesome.
