Nice golf shop staff. Subtracted a star for no consistent discount pricing for seniors and vets.

Best public golf experience I've had. Staff is so friendly and course was in great shape. Best public golf in Huntsville area!

From their web site: "The Ledges. Situated 1,582 feet - the highest point in all of Huntsville…read more-members will experience breathtaking panoramic views of the valley, downtown Huntsville, and even the Space and Rocket Center. Designed with 5 different tee sets, sculpted greens and fairways, and challenging bunkers, the course offers golfers of all skill levels an outstanding golf experience." That sums it up! So fortunate to participate in a 'shamble' scramble here yesterday. The weather was absolutely dialed in, and everything was seamless from registration (great swag thanks to Blue Creek) to the post scramble meal, to the pro shop where you redeem your prizes (yeah, I um, scored the "ladies longest drive" prize - shameless plug). Turns out the pro shop has everything you'd want clothing wise, from onesies for babies to children's golf clothes to cigars and a good array of selections for men, but, nothing cute and frilly for me. As I was feeling deflated, the pro offered up a catalog to me, and I scored two adorable pink golf shirts that he will have custom embroidered with their logo for me! Nice touch! I had never played golf using carts that stop automatically, meaning you do not have to squash in the brake to lock the cart in place, until yesterday at the Ledges. This is an excellent feature for this course because it is literally like a roller coaster in twists and turns! At any angle, when you put your foot on the brake, the cart stops and stays put. Each hole is named (e.g., Old Stoney, The Pedestal, False Hope (featuring an unseen water hazard), Hawks Haven (yes, there are hawks up there!), Temptation). The greens are crazy fun because you get so many crazy "toilet bowl" rolls, and some putts actually appear to roll uphill! Only regret was not enjoying the driving range prior to the scramble. They take a supersized golf cart way down in the valley to an absolutely lovely driving range. Our group was too happy socializing to take advantage of a proper warm up in the awesome driving range Had we done this, maybe my twosome would have scored better than next to last, ha ha! Thank you Ledges, and thank you Blue Creek.

Average course: first time as I was visiting the area and was invited by friends…read more Unsure of the course I opted to ride, but it's definitely walkable in that there aren't hills to navigate. Even w riding I got about 8k steps in. (But I also purposefully will take my "Sunday bag" and walk to my hike and let my seated partner drive to theirs) I'm a newbie golfer (2yrs) but have intentionally tried out various courses and am learning quite a bit about them and how "I" personally rate them: so this is my own personal newbie experience Much like my home course in Aberdeen Maryland: It's flat. Pretty wide open. If you hit halfway decent you shouldn't lose balls to "off the fairway"...unless you really are way way way off the fairway Few hazards...but it's best to go with folk who know where said hazards are..there's one man-made ravine that crossed the fairway on a par 5 that isn't noticeable from the tee box. From the red tees, water was only a hazard a couple of times right off the box The greens were in great shape, and the fairways fine (imo) It runs along the Tn River, so pretty quiet and peaceful and not amongst houses. There's a walking path between "it" and the river so bikers and walkers are seen, but not a disturbance. I was with a group who already made reservations so I had no dealings with the staff Likely will return. Short 25minute drive from hsv/madison, I enjoyed myself

Everyone there were really nice and…read moreaccommodating, especially when I had my tee time wrong and was running a bit late - thinking I was getting there early and could enjoy a nice warmup and some putts. It was a BEAUTIFUL Autumn day which made the course even more enjoyable! Two of our foursome had never been there and we both commented how much we liked it and look forward to returning. The greens and fairways were in great shape for the most part (if they had sand on the golf carts, I think the fairways would be in better shape). It's a friendly course, that is pretty wide open, has strategically placed sand traps (really deep ones by the way) and some tricky water features. The greens themselves have some really cool twists and turns, too, making the putting piece interesting and fun. I did not have time to check out the pro shop too thoroughly or the "grill." I did see a couple of guys enjoying a beer on the back, covered deck. Looking forward to many more fun rounds at PMGC!

TopGolf always a good time. Our order got lost and they were kind enough not to charge for the food…read moreorder (pretzel bites and 2 salads). Was very surprised when I paid higher than airport prices for a pitcher of beer. $30/pitcher and the pitcher only fills two and a half glasses (big " chiller" in the center of the pitcher). LIGHTS OUT Twice they've put my party in a bay with a light out and we have to ask to be switched. The second time they wouldn't give us our full time even though we brought it to their attention right away. ALWAYS DIRTY The floor will sometimes have trash (see photo of mashed food and drink straws) and more than once the table isn't completely wiped. FOOD ALWAYS COLD I've ordered several menu items and they ALWAYS come out warm or cold. SERVICE Service is hit or miss depending on who you get. Sometimes we get someone very attentive and sometimes we'll get someone who says hi at the beginning and is only seen again when our time is up. KITCHEN AND BAR HOURS They've now told us that the kitchen and bar will close an hour before they close so if you book for an hour at the end of the night you won't have any food or alcoholic beverages.
