We were pleased with his level of care & the attentiveness of the care staff. I was pleased with their level of communication - they ensured I was in the loop regarding what was going on with my father. He adjusted well and we felt confident his needs were being met. He moved to the Memory Care unit (MC) a few weeks ago and seems to be thriving in this new area. The level of care is different, but still great! I have no doubt my dad is in the best place for his needs. I would definitely recommend the Presbyterian Community. The only less than positive thing I can say is the facility is quite dated and is in need of being updated. But, the facility is safe, clean and appropriate.

The DON and ADON were both unprofessional with how they communicated to me (a guest), as well as the employee. Not only were the attitudes of the management unprofessional and unpleasant, as was the attire being worn throughout the building. The apparel being worn is indistinguishable unprofessional and unacceptable. If the other workers have to come in with a uniform on, and still looking professional, then that example should be being set by upper man. The lack of care is becoming visible more and more as I visit. This place needs to be investigated by the state. Ever since I started visiting, i've noticed that its nothing but a liability to the city. Patiently waiting on mom to finish her therapy so I can rescue her from this place of hell!

Every mid- December we have received a form letter stating prices will increase effective January 1st. Everytime I have asked Crystal ( lady in charge of the facility) if the price will keep going up every year and she says she does not for see it ... yet it does keep happening. Literally giving us 2 weeks notice before the monthly price increase. Yet they expected a 30 day notice to move her out. The letter is the same every year the only thing that's changes is the amount that is added. We are moving our Mother out because of this and also the uncaring and very matter-of -fact way management has handle this. The staff is good ... However the management is very misleading. So if you have a set amount of money you can afford DO NOT put a loved one here. They will keep raising the price every year. My mom had been there 3 years and there has been 3 price increase . The first increase only 3 months after me moved her in, and then every December since.

My mother, who was in need of compassionate and attentive care, was subjected to conditions that were far from acceptable. During her stay, it was distressing to witness her wandering the halls aimlessly due to a lack of adequate supervision. The staff seemed either overwhelmed or indifferent, and this lack of attention to her needs left her in a vulnerable and unsettling situation. There were multiple instances where she was found sleeping on the floor, which is not only unacceptable but also indicative of severe negligence. It is profoundly troubling to think that a facility entrusted with the care of our loved ones would allow such a situation to occur. Overall, the quality of care at Wellmore Nursing Home fell significantly short of expectations. The lack of proper supervision and the failure to provide a safe and comfortable environment for residents are major concerns that need urgent addressing. I hope this review serves as a wake-up call for both the management and prospective families to carefully consider their options and ensure their loved ones receive the care and respect they deserve. i am giving 2 stars for because the day nurses were great but management and night staff is terrible.

Her room was not kept clean, her laundry came back with stains on it, and the food is barely edible and very high in carbs. The facility is gloomy, the furniture and other decor outdated, worn out and dirty, and management personnel are less than professional. The improvement in my mother's health and well-being since moving her to Wildewood Downs is amazing. Even her doctors have commented on how much healthier she is. Do not take your loved one here. It should get less than a one-star rating.

Even after a person has gone by ambulance to the hospital and returns the rule is they have to eat 2 meals in the dining hall. Sometimes they are too weak to go over there. Nobody will bring even a bowl of soup to their rooms. The kitchen should be open 24/7 but when staff goes home after lunch and the employees get the remaining food there is nothing left for the late sleepers/eaters. Residents are told kitchen closed. The food is barely edible. Mostly sandwiches and salads that are made and shipped from other states. The chicken salad is made with lard as a base ingredient. There is very little healthy items on the menu especially weekends when there is no staff. Laundry is still dirty after being washed. Stains all over and clothes smell. Medications are not given timely, especially if the person dispenses them is later for work.

I noticed that there have been other complaints against them by DHEC and I feel they need to be investigated again. They retaliate against families that complain and file false reports. Families are afraid to complain because their family member might be treated badly. This place is not worth the money that these families are paying. Trying to file a complaint with their corporate office JEA Corp. Senior Living is just as bad. No one returns phone calls and no one can answer a question about any issues. I have documentation to prove anything I say. #DHEC #WISTV #SLANDER

Also had someone take her to the store and "share" her buggy. My mother in law paid for Home Instead caregivers BEER for the weekend. When I called to speak to the owner(s) as I was referred by my moms church. Apparently one of the part owners was a member. I was given the RUN AROUND by the front staff. They should be shut down. We had cameras on my mother in law and the one in the bedroom was altered habitually when using Home Instead. Maybe if they paid the caregivers at least half of what they charged per hour, the experience would have been better. Negative stars, however, I have to at least put 1.
