The lady that she spoke to took her insurance information, and said she would contact the insurance and then call back. She phoned back and said the out of pocket cost would be $25. But later when it was time to pay, my daughter was charged $118 -- that's in addition to the $145 that the insurance was expected to pay. When we phoned Dr Magruder's office to discuss the unexpectedly high charge, the lady said that she would not have given any cost estimate since they are out of network, which was simply not true. The visit itself was fine, the staff were nice, and that's why I am giving two stars instead of just one. My complaint is solely about the bill.

He diagnosed the problem and referred me to an endodontist for a root canal, which --amazingly--I was able to get done that same day. I went back to Shoreline for a crown, and was amazed at how quickly and painlessly that procedure was. Overall, my experience with this office has been superb. It is very clean. The staff is super friendly and helpful. It is an efficiently functioning clinic with modern equipment. I feel confident in recommending treatment here for anyone.

Secondly, I find out this month that according to Delta Dental they went of network in February without informing patients. WHAT? REALLY? I was billed $120 for cleaning and X-rays that's usually FREE each year per Delta Dental. When they're not open you can text. I work nights and sleep during the day, my work schedule and their limited work schedule is a conflict. I texted twice about this bill and never got a response, so the third attempt (today) I call Pickering's office to leave a voice mail but a man answers and I apologized because I thought I had the wrong number. But, when I called the 346# again, a girl named Heather answered. I have no idea who or what her job title is, I've never spoken to her before. I told her (calmly), I was frustrated over the charges because of the lack of communication regarding their going out of network, etc She didn't like that and proceeded to get defensive. Bottom line, she's writing the $125 billing charges off and I'm done with this dentist office
