But later when it was time to pay, my daughter was charged $118 -- that's in addition to the $145 that the insurance was expected to pay. When we phoned Dr Magruder's office to discuss the unexpectedly high charge, the lady said that she would not have given any cost estimate since they are out of network, which was simply not true. The visit itself was fine, the staff were nice, and that's why I am giving two stars instead of just one. My complaint is solely about the bill.

Dr. Cuong and Sam went above and beyond, staying over 2 hours past closing to make sure everything was done properly and that I was completely taken care of. Not only did they handle the root canal flawlessly, but they also took care of a neighboring tooth with a crown and a filling to make sure everything is set up perfectly for my next visit. The entire experience was completely pain-free--even the numbing shots, which honestly surprised me. The whole team was incredibly kind and attentive. Tara at the front desk even let me use her phone charger when my phone was about to die, which just shows the level of care they provide. The office itself is beautiful and uses top-of-the-line equipment. I also really appreciated their transparency with billing--they show worst-case scenario pricing upfront so there are no surprises, and they actively work to reduce your costs wherever possible.
