The customer service people have been helpful and efficient, explaining the various options and not necessarily recommending the most expensive. I never ever thought I'd be giving a car garage a 5 star review and that should go so way to…read moreshowing the merit these guys deserve. In a day and age where it seems car repairs are all about add ons and mechanics taking you for a ride (pun intended), it's amazing to find a local place that are 100% honest. I took my trusty little Seat in to Church Wharf as I needed to swap out my speedometer (EU form) for a new one (UK Form). They went through the process of taking my car apart, probably a good hour, only to then realise the new part I'd given them was wrong and wouldn't fit. They promptly called me, put it all back together and charged me diddly squat for doing so. After this, they went out of their way to source the correct part, at no additional cost or benefit to them, and made an effort to fit me in as soon as possible to get the work done as they knew I was in a hurry. The truly unbelievable service from these guys was topped off when my total bill came to £90 including VAT. To make this much effort for a £90 job is fantastic and they deserve a 6th star if I could give it to them. Tom and the lads here are brilliant and will take care of you for sure!

FIRST CLASS is the way I rate Ashbrow Garage. I purchased my first car from them over 12 years ago,…read moresince then I have had no hesitation to change my car every 3 years at Ashbrow. I have previously owned a Lexus 430 and a Merc S500. I was so pleased with my last car (my first Audi), an Audi A6 3.0 litre TD Quatro I have just changed again for exactly the same model. The new car is fantastic and has massive upgrades from the previous model. My personel registration number was sorted and the car was all valeted and prepared, ready for me as arranged on my return from Spain. The car and attention to detail on the vehicle handover by Robert which was after closing time was second to none, with no urgency to get me away. Thanks again to Robert at Ashbrow Garage. I have brought my car to this Halfords Autocentre several times over the past three years, and I…read morehave always been satisfied with their service and friendly approach. I find their service to be thorough and efficient, and they seem to endeavour to explore all options and put no pressure on the customer. They even go as far as asking about driving habits and usage, before re-examining specific areas and coming to a final decision on repairs needed. If anyone is unsure of where to take their car to, especially if they do not know a trusted mechanic, then I would recommend going to an established and large company, such as Halfords Autocentre.

TL;DR - Trustworthy service for Nissan owners…read more Have brought my car here a few times for a service and MOT, but was particularly happy after my most recent visit. There were a few items on my car which needed work (no surprise, it's old), so they gave me a quote and ordered the parts. But then when I arrived they'd managed to actually repair some of the existing parts and didn't need to use the spares, so the overall cost actually ended up being significantly less than they had quoted - a very nice surprise. They were also incredibly apologetic for keeping me waiting, even though there was hardly any wait at all. The other big bonus - free RAC cover with your MOT which is excellent value!

This is a family run business and an exceptional one at that! With friendly staff you can trust these guys. They fix any car and give you a decent price. What is good is that the owners live a few yards away from the shop so your car is safe when left with them. Also their MOT test centre has been running since 2003 and is popular with the locals. You can book your MOT on line or speak to one of the staff. Whats really cool is that you can set up a reminder of your MOT and they will remind you when its near the time. Great, especially for me!
