I find their service to be thorough and efficient, and they seem to endeavour to explore all options and put no pressure on the customer. They even go as far as asking about driving habits and usage, before re-examining specific areas and coming to a final decision on repairs needed. If anyone is unsure of where to take their car to, especially if they do not know a trusted mechanic, then I would recommend going to an established and large company, such as Halfords Autocentre.

Having said that the job they did was good and they did give me a discount because of all the trouble but it didnt cover the expense of the hire car i had to take. i like the fact that they have complete prices and you can book online and get a price online. They do MOT'S and you get discounts if you are in the AA and clubcard points. Overall a good honest garage, where as a lone women I fell able to take my car.

Despite my not having booked it in they called to say it was fixed just a couple of hours later and charged me a very reasonable price for the service I especially as I then couldnt collect the car until the following afternoon and they dont have a particularly large parking area around the site. They also advertise MOT's with a free retest, though this is common, while I was there they had at least 8 other cars pass through and four mechanics at work. Highly recommended.

What is good is that the owners live a few yards away from the shop so your car is safe when left with them. Also their MOT test centre has been running since 2003 and is popular with the locals. You can book your MOT on line or speak to one of the staff. Whats really cool is that you can set up a reminder of your MOT and they will remind you when its near the time. Great, especially for me!

As I female driver I often felt uncomfortable in garages and unsure as to whether or not I am been taken advantage off. There were a few items on my car which needed work (no surprise, it's old), so they gave me a quote and ordered the parts. But then when I arrived they'd managed to actually repair some of the existing parts and didn't need to use the spares, so the overall cost actually ended up being significantly less than they had quoted - a very nice surprise. They were also incredibly apologetic for keeping me waiting, even though there was hardly any wait at all. The other big bonus - free RAC cover with your MOT which is excellent value!
