I will say one negative thing: they ask customers to enter with a mask on, but half the staff there is not wearing one.... So, I'm Not sure if that also shows that there might be times where they themselves don't follow their own rules and policies and therefore affect their job on customers cars. They'll tell you that your car will be ready a certain day, they won't give you call to let you know it's ready and then when you call to figure out what's going on, you get a "unfortunately there's a problem". Excellent service, had to take my 2019 Civic in for repairs due to an accident, The insurance company recommended certain body shops, but the earliest anyone cld see me was May 5 almost a month after the accident. I've had other vehicle repaired at Eckles, even though my insurance company didn't have Eckles as a recommended shop I decided to give them a call. Had the pleasure to speak with Carlos the owner and to my amazement he told me I cld bring the car in the next day. Brought the car in and Carlos even called the insurance company on the spot, gave them all the required info and my vehicle was in there the next day. Vehicle was fixed within 2 weeks and he even fixed some scratches on the roof and trunk no charge. Carlos n staffed went beyond my expectations. I would definitely recommend this shop. They did some repairs in my car and replaced my windshield. the new one had some stains on it so I took it back to be cleaned and they scratched it Then Jose told me that it was my fault and that I had to pay for another glass if I wanted it to be replaced again. So I will start with the good and then move onto the bad. Good: I have used them another time in the past, I know their paint work is very good. This time around, the work is the front bumper and the driver side fender area. I am still pretty satisfied with the work. It has been fixed maybe 2 months ago. Still no major issues, except for A/C, see below for comments. Bad: Matt Magana was the person helping me out and assigned to my file. When you step into the office for the first time, you can almost feel that you are a dollar $$ sign to them. All of the reps are just staring you down and salivating. Matt is very nice and friendly, however, there is a sense of shadiness/conniving aspects to him. Later on throughout the process it confirmed my sixth sense. So he provided a quote for the insurance company that is slightly higher and throughout my conversation with him, he says, yes, he can save me some money, we just have to go through some of the itemized lines to see what savings we can make. So he started clicking on the items and I'm trying to match the original items he selected with the pricing, and the ones he selected is much higher than the original quote to the insurance company. (I thought he was suppose to save me money, not increasing some of the costs). I asked him why is he selecting the more expensive items vs. the cheaper items. He claims that those cheaper items are currently out of stock. And we have sacrificed the original paint quote to go with a cheaper paint quote. We have sacrificed the original reinforced framing vs. the cheaper fix alternative of the framing. The price still came out to be THE SAME!!! There's is no way I can prove that the cheaper items are out of stock. It's what he told me. But there was just so many red flags about this guy. Next situation is that the "storage" fee costs more than my repair. The storage fees was over $4,000. Like WHAT? Following situation, got my car back and was just frustrated, because the Air Conditioning was broken. So I did a quick YouTube video on what "could've" happened, a lot of the videos claim that it's a relay fuse issues. Because the A/C when pressed the button on, there won't be any cold air until five minutes later, and then another five minutes of cold air follows with no cold air. So everyone on YouTube says, try the relay fuse first. Matt Magana and his mechanic kept insist on telling me I need to recharge my A/C with refrigerant. However, I was like well, shouldn't you guys have put this on the quote for the insurance to pay? What kind of "inspection" are you guys conducting, to have the customer pay out of pocket for an additional $200 for an A/C that is broken. I told him, NO, my mechanic says these are don't need a re-charge on refrigerants. Mind you, my Honda Accord has approximately 278,000 miles at that time and I HAVE NEVER RECHARGED REFRIGERANT ON THAT CAR. According to my go to mechanic, V-Tec in Diamond Bar. Oliver says these 2007 Honda Accords are not like the ones they've built in the past where you need to re-charge every so often. Anyhow, I took it to my mechanic, V-Tec from Diamond Bar, what do you know? It's a relay fuse. That costs me $125. However, I have a feeling that Eckles swapped it out for a faulty one to make more money off me. Last situation, had to bring back the car one final time, because they forgot to put a plastic panel cover to cover the fender area. So from the driver side getting into the car, I can see the engine from inside the fender area. He literally tried to make me pay for that piece. It's not much, it was only $25-$35. However, luckily, they found the piece when I went back to asked them about it, so they have resolved this issue. In conclusion, going to a body shop is like going to the dentists. Your bite, your teeth, will never be the same again as to your car. read more

I was rear ended and needed the entire back of my car repaired. Everyone at Eckles was very helpful, professional, and friendly. They were prompt with their response time and kept me updated throughout the entire process. When I picked up my car, I noticed some minor discrepancies with my vehicle that were not there prior to me dropping it off. I notified them via email not really expecting to get a response or even to take my car back, but did so just to let them know so they were aware and could be careful moving forward. They responded immediately and the owner himself took care of my car and replaced the damaged part. Not happy at all. My car was in the shop or 40 hrs and a weekend. I received a call that my vehicle was ready. Wrong. They didn't even fix my cracked windshield. Between the entire staff how does that get overlooked. Not the mechanic, not the boss, not the guy who failed to read my estimate over a period of 8 days. Huge fail. I needed to do a lease return on my car and I had a big scratch on the driver's side bumper, as well as some minor scratches on the driver's side. I went in to a few shops to get estimates, and most shops were not listening to me when I stated it was a lease return (meaning I only wanted to fix major damage, not every single tiny scratch or dent on the car) and wanted to charge me thousands of dollars. Took the shop to Eckles and met with the manager who provided me a verbal quote of $400 to fix the bumper and paint it as well as "touch up" the other areas of my car that needed it. He suggested that I bring my vehicle in a few days before the lease return so that I didn't risk more damage to the car afterwards, which I appreciated. I asked for a written quote several times but was told I didn't need one. That made me uneasy, but I went with it. Flash forward to 3 weeks after the estimate and I am ready to bring my car in to get fixed. Went back to Eckles and talked to someone else, who of course did not want to honor the quote I was given (why would he? it wasn't written down). The estimate I got from this employee was $900! I was a little upset but tried not to lose my cool, explaining I had gotten a different quote from someone else. The employee explained that it's likely they would honor the quote, but I needed to come in when the manager who quoted me was there. Again, I was upset because even though I live in Whittier, I work in West Hollywood, so this meant I would have to go in late to work on a weekday because I had to make time for the manager, but I also understood that I didn't have a written quote (which I had been worried about anyway) so I tried not to make a fuss. I arranged to speak with the manager first thing on Monday morning, and when I arrived all the workers were in one room going over the day's jobs. I really like that they all seemed so on top of everything and knew about every car that was in the shop as well as its repair status. All the workers seemed to know what was up, and it seemed like a well-oiled machine they are running. When I spoke to the manager, he not only remembered me but also honored my quote, no problem. It never seemed They took my car the same day and I rented a car through the Enterprise kiosk they had on site. Two days later my car was fixed, it looked amazing, and I turned it back into the dealership with no problems. The Enterprise kiosk was closed when I went in, but the Eckles team was able to get my rental returned for me without me being there, and Enterprise just emailed me my receipt. Because of the slight hassle that it was to get the same quote twice, I'm knocking off the one star...but the customer service, the shop itself, and the work that was done come highly recommended.
