This is not a true representation of Collins High School. The Collins High school that I know located in Suwanee is a highly mannered and well engineered. overly aggressive Athletic Director who's feelings got hurt that the coach had issued field passes and not her. Rather than allowing "her" athletes to be showcased she became a cop caller. Sad when these AD's forget what sports and opportunities are about. Hopefully they will reprimand her and she's embarrassed about the way she treated everyone. i hate cancel culture and don't want her to lose her job, but a nice suspensions (like a student would get) seems fair. Refresher: The Video Is Resurfacing & Retrending. A lady who claimed to be an Athletic Director for thus school, humiliated herself & the school by being their representative in a video where she direspectfully, tries to continuously belittle, a videographer who flies state to state to small/big time schools, to give kids more exposure. This videographer, has gotten people, offers, scholarships, minor & major pro contracts into football leagues & programs. She claims the facility is HERS, she claims the field is HERS, she asks for an explanation & as recieving one continuously interrupts him. It is to my understanding that they have since changed who is in this position for thus school. Although the new director claims to believe in character, integrity, selflessness, overcoming adversity, & even practicing humiliation along with respecting culture differences. We may never actually be able to get to see this school's change of heart, & proving that the staff/faculty or their views on kids getting attention arent the importance of situations but the kids getting the exposure they desire for a shot to become what they dreamed about is what actually matters. This being that, what made this, 1 of 1 videographer with this 1 of 1 platform for the young student athletes, what made him come to thus school in the first place was for a 1 of 1, 2-way, star studded, athlete by the name of Travis Hunter. I wrote this with 3 stars, due to the change of position & everyone deserves leniency. But I stand at a firm 2 stars, given that in most schools, the faculty always claims the students disappoint them, but this time around they disappointed Travis Hunter, they've failed him, they've humiliated him. Forever, Travis will have to claim this school as his own. For people, to go research & see that this school was willing to shun exposure to every single student athlete, let alone, Travis. Due to an ego, a power trip, & most of all personal insecurities, the nation was way to close to not seeing this tremendous of an athlete. read more

As a student of Collins Hill, I can say first hand that there are a few glaring issues of the school. First is the infrastructure: The bathrooms are poorly kept, the lunch tables and desks are old, and the few chairs that are used in classrooms and at lunch are mostly broken. The school needs to pay for better equipment or else it will only get worse. Second are the programs: there are a few programs that would be appealing to students, including STEM (knows as RISE in the school), fine arts, and career/technical education. I only have experience as a STEM student, but it has been a less than ideal experience. The class is supposed to teach students skills such as engineering and programming, but they aren't really applied within the curriculum. You learn the concepts, take a test, and that's it. You don't apply that knowledge outside of the tests except for very few instances. The school has good intentions, but they need to work on executing it better. read more

Not so good experience . Lost credits due to transferring and was not aware of it until the end of the year .

The school is horrible. It used to be one of the best schools in Georgia, but now it fails at everything. Other schools like mill creek, and peach tree ridge have it wayyy better than Collins hill. Most of the problems come from the new principal Mrs.Wing. The school has failed to upgrade and renovate and it has failed to become world class. Also, I have been coming to this school for 3 years and it looks like a prison, not to mention that the stadium looks disgusting and looks like it is falling apart. If Collins hill wants to get in the game and become like or better than peachtree ridge and other schools then they will have to bring the heat up big time and renovate! read more
