my husband called and ordered me flowers because I had a tough week coming up with the anniversary of the death of my mother. The flowers were delivered, but when I touched one branch, all of the little flowers fell off, and I noticed that five of the six roses were turning brown already. I knew my husband had spent a lot of money on this so I called the shop immediately. They brought me out a new arrangement, but it was considerably smaller than the first arrangement. I told the driver and wanted to take pictures, but he said I'll take them and take them back to the shop owner. I sent her an email stating that I hoped my husband would be getting a partial refund due to the significant difference in the size of the arrangements. Three days later, she sent me an email back saying that she gave me more expensive lilies, and therefore it was the same cost, which is unacceptable. The second arrangement was better, albeit small. The customer service is just not there in my opinion. Being new to this area I now know where not to buy my flowers.! read more

We placed an order as a gift over for Christmas and the arrangement that was delivered was dead and dying. Then, instead of being helpful or apologetic, the florist at Colleen's Crafts & Flowers was extremely rude when contacted directly when we attempted to remedy the problem. I don't typically write reviews, but I have never been so appalled by a customer service representative and how hurtful and nasty they were when I called to get help with a Christmas gift. read more

I received a planter basket as a gift since I had covid over Christmas. When it arrived I voiced my concern to the delivery person that it looked like it was dying. She said "oh. those just haven't opened yet." After getting it inside and taking a closer look I was shocked that they would even let an arrangement leave their store looking like that. The poinsettia's had lost most of their leaves and the other tiny little plants looked sick too. I called and spoke to the woman that made the planter and she was pretty defensive. I sent her pictures and asked her to please not charge the senders since I'm sure it cost a lot, her reply was "it didn't sound like they had a lot to spend so it's not that much" I was shocked she would say such a thing. In my text with the pictures I told her IF she was going to charge someone I would pay for it BUT in my opinion it would have never passed quality control had it been my store. I'll attach the pics and the texts. Today I got a text saying g they were coming to pick up the arrangement and they didn't charge. Seriously? What about rectifying the issue and replacing an obviously under par product?! Don't use this store, they have no understanding of customer service and by the looks of it flower arranging either. I will also be contacting Teleflora of which they state they are a member of on their website. read more

I ordered a beautiful floral arrangement from their website for my daughter's birthday, to be delivered to her off campus apartment at Kutztown University. The first photo is the mid-sized arrangement I ordered. The second was the arrangement my daughter received. Having paid $92 for the order, I was very upset that she received what I could have picked up at a grocery store floral department for $25-30. I first spoke to the florist who clearly was the one to assemble the low end product, as he was very defensive and dismissive of me, at which point I got upset and asked to speak to the manager/owner. He told me she was not there but assured me she would return my call. After several hours and no returned call, I did call the number listed on the website and got the owner who was "at her other business." After expressing my concerns to her, she offered to remake the arrangement herself AND deliver it to my daughter with the understanding that she would return the first arrangement ( really? Bad form, but whatever...). I thanked the owner, thinking that it was a very kind gesture ( see photo of my text to her). After that, she texted my daughter, told her she was leaving her a SMALLER arrangement and told her that her mother was very mean to both her and the original florist. Who does that?!? She even wished her a happy birthday after that, so clearly she knew my daughter was just a recipient of a gift. I did text her back after that and told her that it was a very disrespectful thing to do, and clarified that I, in fact, had not been mean to her and that her employee had been very sassy with me first. She never responded. Long story, but lesson learned here...I do NOT recommend this business. She did inform me that I could not have done business with any other florist, as the other two who were local had gone out of business. My recommendation is that anyone needing a delivery to anyone in the Kutztown area do business with Luisa's Chocolate Pretzels instead...while not in Kutztown themselves, they did deliver to the campus, and their product was beautiful, tasty, and relatively inexpensive! read more

At the last minute we were not able to attend a very special little girl's First Holy Communion. Our hearts were broken but we wanted her to know we were there with her in our hearts. We live out of state so it was a shot in teh dark when I called Collene's Craft's and Flowers and spoke to them directly. They were SO helpful and even suggested the sweetest additions to our flowers to have a keepsake. About 2 hours later a very unexpected photo was texted to me of the completed arrangement, including our little ones favorite color flowers that they asked during the phone conversation. These kind of special touches are what will make us return again. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making our little ones day special and helping us to feel a part if it from miles away. read more

My sister sent me a flower tree for Christmas whom she went through Avis flowers who contacted Colleen's. What Colleen's sent me was a little Christmas tree with about 3 balls, 3 pinecones and a ribbon on it. My sister paid $100 and called Avis and sent them a picture what was delivered. Avis also said that is not what we sent Colleen's. I could have went to Walmart and bought that tree for $10 and dollar store for 12 balls for $1.00 and bow for $1.00. Total of $12.00. Shame on you Colleen's for sending this pitiful tree. This is not the 1st time Colleen's screwed up. I had gotten an arrangement sent to me 2 months ago from a friend and they did not send the correct flowers. I am going to post on every site I can to let people know not to ever order from Colleen's. Shame shame shame on you. I didn't even want to give them 1 star but you had to select one. read more

The recipient and I were very pleased with the beauty and elegance of the flowers that were delivered. If this rating were solely based on the quality of the flowers, it would most certainly receive 5 stars. However... When placing the order, I provided all necessary billing information needed to submit the order. I was under the impression that everything was okay. The flowers were delivered on Valentines Day as requested. However, that evening I received a voicemail stating that they were the owner, requesting the 3 digit security code on the back of my card. I was concerned that it may have been an attempt to steal my debit card information. Today, I received a text message from a number that was not saved in my contacts which read "Hello I need your flowers to be paid for that we sent to *Recipients Name* at Kutztown. We need the 3 digit code from the back of your credit card". I was confused as to who would be texting me and requesting my card information without stating who they are. I emailed the store in order to confirm that it was this business trying to resolve a billing issue. In the future, I think that this business should be a little more professional when attempting to resolve issues like this. When you submit an online order, you expect to be charged immediately as opposed to ten days later. If there were any issues from the start, I should have been contacted immediately. If there are ANY issues regarding billing, requesting debit/credit card information over text message is not the way to handle it. read more

Called Collene's directly to send birthday roses to someone in Kutztown recently.. The recipient was very very pleased -- "impressive" was one of the words she used to describe the flowers, roses 3 feet high, beautifully arranged and delivered within an hour or so of my call. read more
