We've already done the registration information session. And requested more program information which did not come. When I stated my dilema, the lady who answered the phone kept repeating the same information over and over, talking over me like it was going to make more sense. She was not pleasant and didn't sound happy to be there so she SHOULDN'T be there. This program is cash pay, my son was looking forward to participating this summer. It's a shame that one person can exert that much obstinance instead of doing their job or transferring to someone that does.

I finished high-school early and I spent half of my junior year and all of my senior year here but one hour of class in the morning where I assisted in our high school's main office. Back then I didn't feel they had the best support getting new students set up for their career paths. Especially for the unique educational requirements Arizona had and still may have for social work and psychology. They have come a long way. I was an honor student here and my favorite class was sociology. For a special project on a paper my teacher Thomas Powell who used to work in the criminal justice system and who has since passed, met me in Scottsdale with a couple other LGBTQ students in our class. He took me on his Harley Davidson and we all met at a gay bar his close friend owned. Don't worry our professor was was very appropriate and was old enough to my my father! He had 2 daughter's older than me he cared about dearly. We had so much fun, I drank Shirley Temples and they drank soda. I learned so much and we met some really awesome people. We passed out surveys people filled out and we learned finding jobs was challenge. We did a class project together working with local businesses and corporations in the valley advertising and communicating with the LGBTQ community jobs that were available to everyone! We advertised at job fairs all that year. That project is why I and my two classmates made it on the honors program. The bar owner is now 77 and was a huge part of the start of and opening the door for the Melrose District. We still keep in touch even to this day. So many good teachers, students and good times here. I am glad to see more eaterys in the area and Starbucks. This area is really growing.

Our son started in the beginner program where we saw him grow leaps and bounds developmentally and socially. He is now in the Primary program, and everyday I'm impressed with the knowledge he brings home and how articulately he is able to express himself to adults and peers alike. All of the lead teachers are Montessori certified, but the primary classroom has 2 leads, both certified and a kitchen assistant who cooks with the children and an outdoor assistant. Compared to the other schools we visited the children have more opportunities because of this arrangement. The school is private, so there is tuition even at the higher grades. However, we noticed that because it stayed private when all the other Montessori schools we toured were charter, it seemed to stick closer to the traditional Montessori curriculum we read about in our research. Children were not tested in any standardized way, and the teachers seem more able to truly follow the child. At one of the Montessori charters we saw 5 year olds doing standardized test practice during our tour. Yikes. Another thing we love about this school is how close knit the community is. When we toured we found out that one of the teachers attended the school and all of her children have been through the program, the director's husband was a student there and all of their children attended the school, etc. There is only one of every classroom so the children all know each other. Our son loves all of his friends and speaks of school excitedly everyday. On the weekends he begs to go to school to play with his friends. We have been so pleased with MCH, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a caring, small and diverse school community.

You can tell she genuinely cares about her students and wants them to succeed. If you're thinking about taking Spanish classes, this is the place to do it. I'll definitely be completing all of the levels here. I ended up getting a call about 20 mins later when I wasn't available. I think it's pretty disappointing and disrespectful to not care about my time or that I moved my day around to be available for a call that came later. Seems like it's a bother to be on time.
