As a former racer from New England, I know the value of finding a good shop and a great mechanic. I have been sponsored by shops and know the importance of a mechanic who knows their stuff, especially having your bike race-ready. Collareta is top-notch. I had initially brought my bike to a shop that has several locations in the Ft. Lauderdale and Miami area, and both times they either messed something up on my bike or did a poor tune-up. For example, a mechanic from the other store, after tuning my rear wheel, placed it only partially into the rear drops and tuned the shifting. After a 20 mile ride I noticed something funky about the rear handling and discovered the wheel was not fully set into the rear drops. DANGEROUS. Plus, after I correctly set the wheel in, the shifting was off. That's only one example of my experiences with other shops in the area. Upon recommendation from a friend, I went to Collaretta's. THIS is the guy I want working on my bike. Knowledgeable, friendly, and took time from wrenching to chat awhile with me about riding, bikes and new technology. He fixed a squeal on my front brakes that the other shop had just supposedly fixed. I find it VERY hard to believe Andres provides nothing but excellent service (after reading one or two negative reviews.) This is the guy to go to. He is now MY GUY! read more

I was in need of a replacement expander for my LOOK 795 Blade RS but did not have any luck with 3 bike shops in my area (Southern California) that are listed on the LOOK website as authorized dealers. One of shops indicated that they couldn't get the part from LOOK. Early last year before I purchased my 795 Blade RS I had seen a YouTube video review from Collareta Cycling on the 795 Blade RS. I decided to try and call them to see if they were still an Authorized LOOK dealer and if they could help me out. Andes (President of Collareta Cycling) answered and listened to my story. He said he would try and help me out even though he did recommend checking with shops in my area. Collareta Cycling is located in Florida! Andres was super responsive and sent me his online link to get my purchase going. He kept me informed daily on the progress of my order since he had to get from the new expander from LOOK. This was amazing since I only ordered a small part! End of my experience was I had the part a week later and my bike was back up and running. One of the best customer service experiences I've had. Several months ago Andres was extremely helpful in arranging for the delivery of a new Tern NBD ebike, that I believe was one of the first of that model delivered in the US. I'm in touch through Facebook Tern owner sites with riders who are still waiting after many months for their orders of the same model NBD placed with other US dealers at the same time as mine. Andres gave me regular shipment predictions and status reports, with the actual delivery beating them. I realize these things can be out of a local dealer's control, but I appreciate a dealer who does all that's possible, and doesn't make me feel like I've been forgotten, as some of these other Tern riders feel. My bike was prepped in good condition, I haven't had a problem in these 2 months, no need to return it to Collareta yet. But I will, however, for scheduled service as required, and will feel comfortable having Andres service this ebike. I have not with other dealers, and I specifically avoided another area Tern dealer after a bad experience with my previous Tern bike. "I brought my bike in for the first time last week through a Groupon discount. I had a couple of questions while i was there. One being an upgrade from hybrid to road, while others simply quoted over $800 to switch Andres advised to to make a $35 change to the handlebars. My main reason for switching was because i was getting numbness on my hands. Not only did he save me from investing more money on a bike but after over 100 miles this past weekend no numbness. Plus I walked in thinking i had to change my front derailleur and it was still good, he inspected and recommended another change on my pedals and that's it. I have three bike shops no more than 20 minutes from my house, I rather drive 30 - 35 minutes to Collareta from now on. Collareta Cycling is a small shop with great niche brands that fall out of the ordinary but when you come to see it, ride it, own it... you can see for sure that the product they sell is one of the best out there. If you are expecting a Walmart-style shop with rows and rows of random products this is not the shop for you. However, if you value quality, and good service then I cannot recommend them enough. My recent purchase of a high-end road bike went as smoothly as it can possibly go. I was able to pick and choose the components, and style of bike that I wanted and Andres help me put it all together in a package that made sense for my riding style and performance goals. What amazing shop! In over 30 years of cycling I've had many positive experiences with bike shops. I've also had a few negative. In all that time this was the best experience buying a bike I've ever had. The staff are extremely knowledgeable, didn't pressure me to buy anything, instead they listened to my needs and helped me select the right bike for me. Then they setup a Look 785 Huez for me to test ride. After an initial ride they made additional adjustments to perfect the fit. I can't believe how much I love this bike. It's comfy and responsive. I found this shop by accident, I was fed up with my old shop so I decided to give it a go by taking my trek in for some needed service. I found it fair priced, I was surprised they call me it was ready only 2 days later, and got some recommendations to keep it running longer without the need to constantly bring it in for an adjustment.
