After the first time out, our pony was much easier to catch and with consistent work at home, she improved greatly. Recently, we took our 4 year old saddle-bred horse for a "back to basics" 30 day training. Upon return, she is now standing tied with much more patience, standing and waiting to mount, and ultimately more responsive and secure in all human interactions. I had a friend ride today who had not ridden her since last season (he rode her about 6 times) and he commented on the noticeable difference. Seriously, in 30 days, the improvement was evident. Wendy also sets up the owner for success by providing a detailed plan going forward and is very responsive to any questions or follow up. Wendy, and her daughter Faith, will be life-long horse friends and experts for my family!

At first we did nothing, but that turned up a dreadful result and since we live in a neighborhood we figured we had to do something, so we went here. They were able to correct our messy lawn situation with organic products that I feel comfortable having all the neighborhood kids and dogs play on. Our lawn is now one of the best on the block and we never have those yucky pesticides do not touch signs.

I scheduled a haircut for my 4-month-old puppy. At no point during booking was I told she does not…read moredo haircuts for puppies under 5 months. That was only mentioned once she arrived at my home, after the appointment had already been set. From the beginning of the visit, she seemed annoyed that my puppy was barking and commented that she was "loud." There was no effort to help my puppy feel comfortable or ease her into the grooming process, which is especially important for a young dog's first grooming experience. I also told her that my puppy tends to resist handling and she responded with "too bad". She proceeded to put a neck leash on her and began dragging her when she would not cooperate. I expressed concern about the use of a neck leash and the way she was being pulled, and she responded that my puppy was "fone"and that she "wouldn't strangle herself." Throughout the entire appointment, I was extremely worried about my dog's safety due to the cold, dismissive handling of a very young and anxious puppy. In addition, we were not satisfied with the result. We paid $105, and she did not provide an all over trim which was the entire purpose of booking the appointment. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this groomer. A gentle, patient approach and clear communication about services are essential when working with puppies/animals, and neither was provided here.

Between caregiving, work, and constant travel, my own needs--and my pets'--have had to take a back seat. My poor Cavachon was long overdue for grooming, and after having to cancel yet another appointment with his regular groomer, I found Heather online and reached out on a whim. She responded with genuine kindness and compassion, and even stayed late on a Friday just to fit us in--knowing we wouldn't be regular clients. Not only was she incredibly accommodating, but she also did an amazing job. My pup looked (and smelled!) so much better and clearly felt great afterward. I truly can't say enough about Heather's professionalism, talent, and heart. If you live in the Traverse City area, I highly, highly recommend her!
