Oh my. If you want your teeth to perfection and giving you your special attention come to Dr Colin Ilas. I had the worst teeth experience with my past dentist because I had quite sensitive teeth. Dr Colin saved my teeth. I don't trust any other dentist anymore. He changed my teeth by giving me a full explanation and giving me more treatment for specifically my needs. He fixed my cavities without any pain. He is great. I am shocked to find a dentist so amazing. The only feedback I would give is they are a bit slow when it comes to appointments times, you will have an appointment, but you might sit for 15 mins till the doctor comes by. But getting cavities and other work done is so fast by the doctor. ‍ totally worth it. read more

Again today 9/7, I just got screwed when I show up to my appointment time of 10am. Guess what they again do not have me on schedule. When I spoke to the person over the phone to schedule it for today. This is extremely unprofessional and I am a busy person which I explained to them. When I have to fit there schedule because they messed up, Why when they messed up. NOT JUST ONCE BUT THIS IS NOW THE SECOND TIME. So now I'm am being pushed back to October to get my Crown. I have been waiting for 2 months to get this done from Dr.Ilas office and now will need to wait another month. This is from the first screw up. I lost out on money going through a out of network for dental work this office couldn't do. And 1 week after my procedure I called back to Dr. Ilas office to schedule my crown for August 3rd at 430pm. I had scheduled tgis back in July a week exeactly after. Just few moments ago I received an email for an appointment on Monday at 9am for my crown i did not schedule. I was just on my way to get ready for my appointment,so I called in and of course I was not on the appointment list for today and I was schedul for a Monday. They do not care and now to my convenience they only have an opening in September. Then give me a gilt trip because I work to provide for my family, on top of being a parent that have kids going back to school, so that i can schedule stuff for myself on a weekday. This is so fucked up and some bullshit. I'm just gonna start looking for another dental office. read more

If anyone can get me out of Yelp hiding, it's Dr. Colin Ilas. I know I haven't gone to see the dentist in a while (I was doing contract work, and had no insurance until recently... sorry guys!) But a lot has changed in the office! 1) the kids play area has an updated gaming console (I think it's an xbox 360): boyfriend approved. Imagine a 20-something year old happily sitting in a kiddie chair for a couple hours playing a Star Wars video game. Enough said. 2) updated TVs! YES! Flat screens, soundproof headsets, DirectTV remotes, TFC (oh yeah, Filipino ladies, you know you're excited to go to the dentist now.) Enough to drown out the sounds of the drill, waterpick, and other dental devices. 3) iPads to update your medical records (contact information, allergies, previous surgeries/operations, etc) - how tech savvy! 4) text/email updates of your appointments - other dental offices take note! Dr. Ilas is ahead of the curve! Overall, the quality of service has been the same since I stepped into the office for the first time in my life: EXCEPTIONAL. The ladies at the front desk are good with reminders, and they never forget to leave you voicemails if needed. The dental hygienists are very knowledgeable, and during my last visit she explained everything to me (where plaque comes from, how calcium fortifies your teeth, why flossing is SO important...) Please keep telling us random facts because it will help us (or scare us) with our daily brushing/flossing! 5 stars. Customer service is awesome. They are friendly, polite, and they inform you what they're doing throughout their procedures. Most recently I had Dr. Anna, it's pretty easy striking up a nice conversation. The feels and amenities are great as well. I enjoy coming here in the mornings to read the magazines, watch the news and listen to the sounds of lite rock music. My only issue at times is the glare of the sun, I would recommend changing seating locations if possible. Overall as a student living in SoCal, I have fond memories and look forward to my home visits because of feels. Great place to be if you want to feel fresh and clean! read more

Big sigh for this place. Unfortunately, I never had the stellar dental treatment as others did. I recall the first time I came here; my parents started me up prior to becoming an adult. The staff is kind for the most part: straightforward with the job, converse with patients if sparked up. Sometimes the receptionists have a bitter tone lacing their words, but we're all there for the dental treatment and not to have kind friends. If there's one scenario I remember clearly from coming here, it was when I had a simple cleaning--an act where the least should go wrong. However, I was mistaken. When I was still laying down, there was a suction in my mouth for the saliva. At that moment it was me and the assistant--an assistant who did not pay particular attention or have gotten distracted far too easily. Distracted, the assistant did not notice that the suction tube for saliva had begun to move out of place gradually; eventually, it reached for me uvula in a desperate need of latching onto something. I yelped, moved my arm, motioned for the man to view something was wrong. My eyes teared from the pain and he never questioned me what was wrong and ended the procedure at that. I received my fluoride and left. Now, at first I thought I was fine--until the night came and my uvula swelled up to the size of a nickel. It was tomato red, swollen, and was large enough to rest on my tongue. I was unable to swallow properly for an entire week, and I could feel with each gulp! It went away in time, but now (yes up to this day and years passed) my uvula sticks to the roof of my mouth instead of dangling, which was not a normal occurrence in the past prior to this traumatic experience. What I find extremely wrong with this picture is particularly how the assistant never questioned me in regards to my well-being. Some other assistants are really touchy. I wish they would understand that not everyone is comfortable with being touched by another being they are not familiar with whether or not it be in a comforting manner; hesitation choked the words I wanted to say for how perturbed I am. Frequently, the dentists' patience runs extremely thin--depending on who, but I can state confidently that a majority does. I sometimes wished that the concept of having a smaller mouth than most would be understood, and should not be a deterring factor in my treatment. But, as stated earlier, we're there for treatment and not friendship and kindness. I had an issue with a cavity. I went here to get it taken care of, but the pain never ceased for two weeks. Strange, right? When I returned and had it examined there was a crack in the filling; consequently, the procedure to re-do it commenced. Two weeks later--and up to date, I still feel pain because it was NEVER taken care of. There was a check-up appointment on the specific filling to see if it was alright, but regardless I was scheduled for another day to come in for the team to re-do it--which never happened. Rather than re-doing it, they referred me to a specialist. Big sigh here. Thanks for the concern and not wanting to spend time re-doing it as instructed for the appointment and for referring me to a specialist who could know what they're doing. I was told countless times that they were unable to recognize what was in error for my tooth, so count this as another red flag out of many. To this day, the error still bothers me. Parting from this clinic, I'm glad to write my grievances on here. Now, of course, this is just my experience and others have their own, but due to my horrendous and traumatic involvement with this place I cannot even drag myself to come back here or refer this place to acquaintances. read more

A coworker referred me to Dr. Ilas. He is probably one of the best dentists in California. I usually switch dentists every year due to the unsatisfactory services but I'm glad I've found Dr. Ilas. Many people usually choose Dr. Ilas, but Dr. Jonathan Yu is great too, he is a perfectionist, and very gentle, especially when administering anesthesia. They not only take good care of your teeth, they also take the time to explain every procedure and aftercare instructions. I'm definitely staying with this dental practice. Are you kidding me? I drive 2 and a half hours to get my teeth cleaned here. I've been coming here since God knows when. They watched me grow up. I mean I must've been like 10 or something and now I'm 33. What a trip. My whole family goes here and now my sisters have their kids going here. I stay loyal to Dr Ilas. When I used to live in the area I would always ONLY request Dr Ilas, but now that I can only drive there on weekends, the other Doctors are so great. I usually get Dr Yu and he is amazing! I started going here in 2008 upon recommendation from my sister-in-law. Even though it takes us an hour to get here from home, I don't plan on changing my dentist anytime soon. These guys are too good. The facility is good-sized and I am always well-attended to, even in the lobby. The bathroom is very nice too - smells good and very clean. The first time I went, they sat me down on a rather comfortable dental chair and handed me a remote control. I noticed that each patient had the superpower to control the DirecTV-enabled television set at each station. So while I was getting my teeth cleaned, I was able to watch the Warriors game I thought I would be missing. Its like flying on Virgin Airlines while getting your teeth worked on. All the dentists, assistants and front desk staff that I have encountered here have been very friendly and accommodating. They tried their hardest, without me asking them to, to combine my insurance coverages to save us the most money. The dentists also took time to get to know us and were very gentle on our mouths. It seems like the entire staff really strives for excellent customer service. I give them 5-stars only because I cant give them any more, and recommend Dr. Ilas to all of my coworkers and friends. read more

Glad I decided to come back here. I've gone here years ago and moved out of the area. I had a broken tooth and chose to come back to Dr ilas' office. The staff is super friendly and caring even the two times I had to bring along my 3 yr old they were talking with her and let her choose toys or watch cartoons while I got my work done. I was so nervous about my first and hopefully only root canal and they did such a great job in keeping me comfortable. I didn't get sick off the numbing gel which I had in the past from other dentist. Didn't even feel the shot which I was worried about (I know sad for a 30 yr old lol) Definitely sticking with this office as long as I can. read more

The dental hygienists are somewhat sloppy. Both my mother and I were not satisfied with the cleaning we received. I even had leftover cement on my teeth that was not scraped off properly. Ok so going to the dentist sux, but we all know that teeth are a huge part in the way we look and how healthy we are. So since you're going to the dentist, you may as well choose a great one! I always see Dr Ilas, but he's what I like to call a "dental pimp" meaning I usually see his associate when he's not in. I normally dislike that, but his associates are just as great and knowledgeable as he is! The office is clean and high tech! Dr Ilas is the best dentist I have ever been to. Soooo much better than my previous dentist. My wife referred me but I must say I was a bit hesitant changing dentists (total creature of habit) after going there for the first time I was happy that I did. They have all of the up to date equipment in place and you can even watch Direct TV while being worked on! After each procedure they give you a hot moist towelette to wipe off your face. Nice touch! I used to loathe going to the dentist but now I actually look forward to the visits. Yesterday I had 2 filling to be fixed by Dr Ilas but he was busy dealing with another patient. I opted to have Dr Sipin do my fillings. When he gave me the dreaded shot of Novacaine into my gums I didn't feel a thing! Great job Dr Sipin!! This office looks nice and there are some nice people who work there but unfortunately, they contract work out to third rate dentists who do shoddy work and steal from patients. They convinced me that I should replace a perfectly good gold crown with porcelain. I wanted to keep the gold since at the time it was probably worth at least a couple of hundred dollars but they told me it was destroyed when removing it and it was worthless. It wasn't until later that I realized they probably took the gold and lined their pockets with it. Not only that and the worst part I guess is that he did a terrible job on the new crown and it is so painful even two years later that I can't chew on that side of my mouth. I went back to see what they could do about it and they told me I needed to have a root canal. So because I went to this dentist, I am worse off than before. Out money that was rightfully mine and a choice between not chewing on one side of my mouth for the rest of my life or having a root canal. You know that old expression about not wanting to do something horrible but it's better than a root canal? I made a horrible choice when I went to this dentist. Just because it looks nice and they act nice doesn't mean they are nice. They are thieves who only care about taking your money at the lowest cost to them (by hiring awful dentists -- who knows if they're even really dentists!) You should avoid this place like the plague. read more

I've been going to this Doctor for 2 years now and the experience has been excellent. The Dr himself has an incredible "bed-side" manner. As he works, he always checks in with you and works the devices like a master, seriously. The office is very clean, very comfortable, with television & game amenities for kids. There's even a TV in every work area. The administrative assistants are also excellent at what they do - always reminding you and confirming appointment dates & times. I've been there several times and 95% of the time I'm in and out on time or ahead of time. If you have insurance, they do all the checking of what's covered and not and give you clear and accurate guidance. If you get their on time, you will be in and out on time.
