I really like the new location as there is lots of parking, the store is spacious and bright inside and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The wall on the right side of the entrance changes with difference themes periodically. The store is laid out so there is lots of room to look around without getting in other people's way. The paper is displayed by theme along with stickers and embellishments. They carry some unique papers like printed acetate. Ink, markers, ribbon, stamps and die cuts are located near the back of the store. What I was so excited about was to see stamped images on watercolour paper. There was a selection of different images and greetings for cards, each sheet was $1.79. The images can be coloured with Copic markers, watercolour pencils or aqua painters. You cannot walk in and not buy anything. If you spend over ten dollars and you get one scrap buck which does not expire. They offer Saturday crops as well as the occasional weekend crop. The place is very bright and clean with an okay selection - it's definitely not the biggest that I've seen but I think you would get by for a project that you were working on. I love the idea of scrapbooking/creating and enjoying coffee at the same time - I didn't have a coffee though as I was on a mission for my letters! The customer service was lacking though as I asked for help finding anything with letters - stickers, stencils, anything. The lone employee told me that she was pretty sure they didn't have anything. I looked through the store and I found two separate packs of letter stickers and she was surprised when I brought them to the till. I get that you may not always know what's in stock, but I would have expected an employee to come out from behind the till (when she wasn't serving anyone at the time) to double check a few places where she may have seen the product I was seeking in the past. This store is out of the way for me on the north end of the City but it is conveniently located just off St. Albert Trail.

They had some good deals on items like Roxy backpacks for $29.99 (I uploaded pics) and a shoe section that beats Winners handsdown (more like shoe warehouse). I uploaded lots of pics of shoes, too - of course! The toy section and home section were pretty small but that's okay 0- that's what Winners and HomeSense are for. They offer designer handbags ranging from $200 for a clutch right up to $900 (and of course, you got it - more pics!). Overall, the store felt 50% stocked - LOTS of space between aisles and it would appear they need to double their inventory. Expect the prices and quality to be inline with Winners and definitely worth a trip to wander around but nothing to write home about. Wish I could give them 3 stars - better than average but not quite in the 4 category to me.

I would assume that a place that is about vintage wouldn't associate with a place like Temu, the fast fashion empire of non-sustainability. Really breaks my heart. I loved this place, I came here for two decades making memories and spending money. Buying all kinds of "treasures". I don't know about any of it because the trust is gone. These Temu earrings were labelled "Numinous Nova" so I assumed they were a maker. Like so many "makers" in the city and on Etsy who I had to finally delete, these are all Temu. I feel pretty stupid for getting caught up in my favourite flower that I didn't take a closer look. I'm not coming back. They don't respond to any negative reviews, only positive. Why not work for a positive solution or at least explain things?

Despite the address being on 122 St, it's actually located in a ground floor suite right on 121 St right across from the Brewery District, close-ish to 104 Ave. There is angled parking out front. It's a cute and quaint little boutique filled with treasures beautifully displayed. My favourite was a selection of jewelry tucked in between pages of an antique novel by the door (when you see it, you'll understand). There was inspirational home decor, some cool stuff like concrete diamonds, some baby and kid's clothing (including these adorable baby headbands), lots of unique jewelry, cool razors, little succulents.. It's a bit like shopping at a local market but with everything in one pretty place. There is even a little coffee corner at the back. Prices seemed pretty reasonable. I would definitely recommend popping if you're looking for some unique gifts.

This is MacEwan's largest bookstore, and it's located at the downtown campus. It's a very nice…read morestore, and they sell a variety of items like textbooks, novels, clothing, stationary, ipods, computers, and gift items. The computers and other Apple items are discounted for student, so that is cool. In my first year, I was naive enough to think that the College bookstore would offer the best possible prices on textbooks, but I was way wrong. I later discovered Amazon.ca, where I got many textbooks and novels for a lot cheaper. MacEwan's bookstore also sells used textbooks, and this is a good option, but I've often found the brand new versions on Amazon for the same price. The bookstore will also buy your books back at beginning of each semester, but they give you so little back, it's almost not worth it at all. I'd suggest trying to sell it to a student directly using the Used Textbook Registry. Most of the gift items at MacEwan's bookstore are pretty expensive, but they will often have sales. I've found some nice stuff though, like I bought my friend an eyeglass cleaning cloth that had a picture of a famous painting on it: very cool. I've b ought quite a few MacEwan brand items, like a keychain, a mug, and a shoulder bag. I guess I just want lots of things to remind me that I did indeed go to College.

I have been told by a staff member that they have a book, and then found out they didn't have it, and the opposite has also happened. Like the other reviewer said, you can save a lot of money by buying texts and novels on Amazon. Just be prepared to wait and then spend a good chunk of time catching up on the readings you missed while you were waiting for your books to be shipped.

They had some really great pieces for the home; you could put them up somewhere in your house and have a kind of motto for your family or home. They were these beautiful pictures of these big strong trees and they were kind of faded in color to make it antique looking; they came in these really nice simple wooden frames.
