I took in my great grandmothers watch. Yes I was too long to pickup (they close apparently on my only day off) Today they sent me my jewelry back. A watch spring, a diamond watch and the pearls I asked them to mount. The watch I received is likely far in excess of the watch I left with them in value (diamond encrusted) But it's not my grandmothers watch. Debbie swears they don't make mistakes, and yet when questioned why they sent me a watch spring as well she says that's a mistake. I have someone's heirloom. They have mine Value does not matter. The jewelry selection isn't too impressive. I'm kinda bothered by the sales women. I showed her my ring & asked her how much it would be to remove the sizing balls. ( from me losing too much weight) She glanced at me and said, what's your ring sterling silver? 1st of all my wedding ring has a 1.75 karat center stone, two .4 emerald cut diamonds as well as ten .25 karat pave' diamonds running the band of the ring. Last appraised over 30,000. She told me that's Coles jewelry also makes custom rings & can do it better than the place I had it done in San Francisco. What I find comical most jewellers who have looked at my ring knew the quality just at a glance which this lady hadn't had a clue. I would never buy or have anything ever made here. It took my wife and I to get to Cole's and we were NOT DISAPPOINTED. We met Debbie and told her we were looking for a wedding ring. She only had to show us ONE and we were SOLD. We were looking for an unusual solitaire wedding ring and the first ring she showed us met everything on our wish list: Unusual, at least 1 Carat, VS1, and I or better in color. What we weren't expecting was the unusual cut, Asscher Cut. We had never heard of this cut. We had two other rings to be resized and she took care of that, also. When she indicated that the rings would be done quite quickly, we went out and decided to come back early to look for a chain so my wife could remove her ring while she was doing a facial. She's an esthetician at Patti's Off Peabody in P.A. My wife was not aware that I was going to buy her some diamond earrings and were given a nice price, also. We plan to return for more diamonds, like a tennis bracelet and a necklace. The entire staff was so friendly. Cole's has become our Jeweler in this area. I have been to Cole's Jewelers many times. The employees there are very professional and friendly and honest. I have had multiple pieces of jewelry looked at and repaired and just recently they made a guard out of two band for my wedding ring. They did a great job to make sure my engagement ring could slide in & out of the guards without damage to the main ring. They are always very welcoming & treat me as family. I went there to get my engagement ring resized. They told me five days but it was ready the next day! When I went back to get it, it was still a half size too big so they put it at the top of the queue and had it ready within an hour. Some of the friendliest people I've ever met! read more

I went in to design a ring for my wife. I was really turned off by one of the employees, Debbie. She was waaaay to aggressive in trying to design what she thought would be best instead of what I had in mind, which was really quite simple and very appropriate for my wife, whom she doesn't know. I left without a design, of course, since she seemed to actually get angry with me that I didn't just go along with her. I had heard some good things about the store, and if someone else had been available things might have gone more smoothly. I did find someone elsewhere who cheerfully helped me design something perfect for my wife, and she loves it. I won't go to Cole's again. If you do, however, and don't like the hard sell or someone who cops an attitude with you, then steer clear of Debbie. read more

My pendent on my necklace broke and I needed to get it soldered. I went to Plaza Jewelers first and they wanted $50 and it was going to take 1 month. I decided to hold off and check out Cole's. It was half the cost of Plaza's and done in 1 week. The gentleman who helped me was very nice. I will definitely be back for jewelry repairs. read more

I don't believe that this business even deserves to get a one star rating. I would NEVER recommend doing business here. At a time that was suppose to be once in a lifetime and very special the saleswoman ruined it all. When she was confronted even after she acknowledged that she had made a mistake she was nothing but rude and disrespectful. I understand that in certain circumstances there are going to be disagreements but as a professional she should have never called me names and then hung up on me. Had the prongs redone on my wedding ring and not to long later had to have them redone by someone else, I have a heart shaped pendant with diamonds and three small ones fell out, my husband had them replaced and an opal added, I had the necklace back for about two weeks and notice two of the diamonds they replaced fell out, we went back in the store and the lady told us they would not charge us an arm and a leg to replace them. She also said they would most likely fall out again, Really? I decided they would not be touching my jewelry ever again and kept wearing the necklace until I could take to a place with a skilled repair person and better customer service. When my husband originally took the necklace in he asked them to check the necklace over to make sure the clasp etc were ok. About a week after our last visit the clasp broke and I almost lost the entire thing. I would not recommend anyone going there for repairs on anything. read more
