So much easier to avoid temptation, and for that reason I hardly ever venture to that side of the store. This Coles is a lovely store. Very clean looking and very well laid out. I can generally find most things quite easily. The only thing I'll give this store is that it seems considerably smaller than other stores therefore sometimes they wouldn't stock certain things you may be looking for- like Coles branded tinned green beans, but never mind. On the upside for a smaller store is that everything you're shopping for are super easy to find. I can usually finish my shopping within 10 minutes, where as at a busier more-so flagship Coles store I can be there for up to half an hour weaving through other people and cueing up at checkouts for extensive times.

You're unlikely to find any really unusual items here, but you can get all your basics. I wouldn't say it is really expensive or cheap, nor would I saw the produce is amazing quality or terrible. Everything is standard price and quality. Herbs can a be a little pricey here, if you're near the Brickworks I'd stop in and get fresh herbs there. As well as fresh produce they stock some local jams, nuts, honey and juice. The juice is particularly good. The staff are quite friendly too, which is a plus.

As soon as I took a look at the menu I settled on the chili squid, and decided to get a pumpkin and goats cheese pizza as well. So I'll start off with the best bits. The staff were great, really friendly and really attentive. They seemed happy to do their job, and no one looked like they were counting down till the end of their shift. The place is also a pretty nice venue, it's got a perfect balance between fine and casual dining. I feel like this would be a great place to take the kids to get them used to eating out at nice restaurants. It does feel like it's got that family friendly vibe, but it's bucketloads better than many of the cheap 'family' restaurants out there. The food unfortunately didn't wow me. The squid didn't have enough of a chili kick to it, and there was also what looked like baby octopus in it that I don't remember from the menu. I don't have a problem with octopus (in fact I kind of love it) but I can imagine there would be some people fine with squid, who might be put off my the tiny tentacles. It could just be that I have a poor memory of the menu. The pizza was also fine, but not quite what I was expecting. The base was a little too thick for my liking, and it had a little too much cheese & tomato base. The pizza cheese was so thick that it pulled out into long strands when you picked up a slice, it definitely wasn't the light pizza I was expecting. There also wasn't much of a goats cheese pizza. The main disappointment of the food is that I felt they had such potential. The menu has so much promise, and there were plenty of dishes that sounded great, but the two that I ordered just slightly missed the mark. But it was still a nice place, with a bit of fun thrown into the decor, and I'd be interested to sample a few different dishes on their menu.

Just found out that the place is PERMANENTLY closed and they deserved it! The owners and main cook…read moreare as incompetent AF. I worked there as a dishwasher (THE ONLY ONE) almost 2 years ago. Being told to take the back alley to collect the dishes from another room whereby the waiting staff dumped the dirty dishes without CLEARING the contents on them. They don't sort the dishes and cutlery, poorly trained lazy AF. Most of them were under 25. Each trip I had to open the kitchen backdoor thru the back alley, opened the storage rm door whereby all the dirty dishes/cutlery are and had to try to open the door with both hands carrying crates and buckets of dishes/cutlery. To be honest, there's no way for me to do that without placing a heavy object to hold the door. Now, the problems arises when the place is almost full house and stayed opened till very late (after my supposed working hrs). There is no way for me to open, hold and close the doors each time as I do not have the luxury of TIME. However, the reason cited was it will disrupted the heating and patrons might complain. My solution to you is, just ffs get PUSH doors installed instead! Now, the main cook. Can't remember his name was abt 30 at the time. He got his satay returned and you know why?! He bloody BAKED the satay in a bloody oven, LOL! On 1st look, they looked like TURDS! I told him he was supposed to grill on charcoal or maybe gas. Obviously that fool never listened. No wonder the place is closed. Like GR said "Fusion Confusion", an italian eatery selling SE food, what a living joke. My workstation, 1 sink had clogging problems and I had to use a stopper to clear it several times in between service. The dishwasher which was suppose to make my life easier, actually made it worse instead. Small capacity, clogging problems and feq breakdown. Mind you, this place had like over 40-50 tables??! I do not receive help unless the management told other staff to do so. Moral of all the staff is generally low. Glad this place sank, hallelujah!

Everybody needs a local late night supermarket and the Marion IGA Foodland is a good one. The thing…read moreabout many smaller, late night supermarkets is that things can often be overpriced so if you run out of something late at night you end up paying a fortune for it. Not so here. The majority of their product is reasonably priced. You can grab a litre of milk for $1.25. Other positives about Marion Foodland IGA include the fact they have lots of staff in the store at any given time which means not too much waiting at checkouts. You know that annoying wait at late night supermarkets where only one person is on the checkout and there are ten people line up - not so here. Parking is always easy here and they have a good selection of deli products. Their bakery section is quite small but adequate and the fruit and veg section is pretty good too. If you have a late night emergency and live in the Marion area, I recommend this supermarket.
