Open till midnight, this is often a lifesaver for me - 15 years after leaving the Gold Coast I still have the odd lapse of concentration and forget I live in Adelaide, home of the 5pm closure, rather than a 24 hour fantasmogoria of shopping opportunities. You can get everything here from cat food to breakfast cereal, and the store is open till midnight. OMG, midnight, whatever is Adelaide coming to??? Until Campbelltown gets a 24 hour shop of some kind, the IGA is it. I`ve noticed that the specials are quire good compared to my local supermarket. I will continue to shop at this Foodland with the great selection and pricing. As an added bonus the supermarket is surrounded by small shops and there is the convenience of the Newsagent with Australia Post facilities. Oh, and plenty of parking.

On a regular basis if you food shop in the village, and some fruit and veg seem a little overpriced in the supermarkets, this place is a great alternative for finding lower priced goods. Example at the moment capsicums and zucchini's are fairly dear per kilo, yet this greengrocer has them on sale for no more than $5 a kilo, which is a lot better!! Probably not as good as a market place for fresh produce, but for somewhere in the burbs close to home and other shops- here is a great alternative for finding some great deals!! One note I did find is that some of the produce isn't in perfect condition as what you'd see in supermarkets, so if you're a perfectionist with how you prefer your produce to look- you may find yourself picking through piles. Overall this greengrocer is worth a look if you're in the area. It's a very clean, neat and tidy laid out store so when passing by you're bound to discover something that'll stand out to you.

This fruit and vegetable shop Dernancourt Fresh (business name Dernancourt Fruit Market) has had a…read morechange of ownership for about nine months now and is run by a family. The quality has improved greatly and I still love the specials on the sidewalk, and then I venture inside. Many products are kept in the fridge and the lettuces are deliciously crisp. You can even buy fresh fruit salad ready to eat. The size of the avocados huge, and a bargain at two for $5. I have discovered that many vegetables are home grown, and the red capsicums are firm and tasty. Out the front you can buy potted herbs, fruit, huge bags of onions and the list goes on. There is a large assortment of flowers, and Natalie is talented making beautiful arrangements if there is nothing you want from the huge selection of bouquets and boxes. The prices are excellent without compromising on quality. The new owners are friendly and helpful, and I'm so happy that this place is my local. I can see them getting busier and busier once people know how great this shop is in the Dernancourt Shopping Centre.

When I first found this Coles by chance, I actually texted my housemate and told him "I found my supermarket. I'm home" haha. I'm not 100% sure what makes this Coles particularly nice to be in, but it certainly has a different feel to it that other ones I have shopped at. The fresh food area is bright and spacious, and there is plenty of selection and variety. Although I prefer to buy my fruit and veg from a fresh food store or market, I feel happy enough with the freshness of their produce that I would buy it here when I want to get everything in the same place. Something I have not seen in any supermarket before (at least not in Australia!) is their fresh salad and prepared fruit bar. You choose a container and make your own selection, then you pay by weight. Love this idea for a quick lazy lunch without being too pricey. There's a great cheese bar too and I found the deli staff to be particularly helpful and friendly. I'm hoping the other Coles stores are going to be following this layout and feel soon!!

New lifts were installed that are quick so never a delay. Thank goodness because the old one was painful. I am biased as this Coles is my local so I know where everything is. It makes a quick shop easy. The isles are roomy, the store is big but not too big! All the staff are friendly, offer a smile, a quick "how's your day" and that's all I need to walk away lifted :-) The fruit and veg are fresh and there is always plenty to select from and I always find what I need! The butcher/meat area and packaging makes it easy to decide on meal ideas. For some reason when I go to opposition stores, I really have trouble choosing, here I have trouble deciding as the options are many! I love my Coles!

After looking at products in each aisle I was able to purchase a few more spices for my current Indian food obsession. Prices were not on display for all items but at the checkout they seemed reasonable. I was not asked if I needed help and only upon purchasing did I ask for extra items which I was then shown. There was a large range of grains in various sizes and spice pre mixes. I could see the huge prepared food range in the fridges and there was a small freezer section. I couldn't see any fresh produce. Even though he didn't have a small bottle of mustard oil on hand I'll be back due to the large variety of products on offer.
