A local company that supports other local companies. I can get behind this concept. Foodland at Stirling had an uphill battle being built in the first place, but now that they're here they are very popular with the locals.
The produce is fresh and well priced (although I'm biased to the local green grocer across the road!) and the deli section is always stocked with everything you'd need to put together a tasty seafood extravaganza, or a simple platter for friends to nibble on over drinks (As I've arranged on many an occasion!)
One thing that really annoys me: The milk is kept in the corner furthest from the door so you have to walk the entire length of the store. I know this is a common practice in supermarkets and that they're designed to entice you to buy stuff you don't necessarily need, but it still annoys me.
Besides the annoying milk location, I've been shopping here for years now and will continue to patron. Also, beware Saturdays are hectic, especially in the morning, but it's bearable. read more
