Our move was from El Paso to Washington state. We did our research and RJS seemed to have high…read moreratings. We supplied almost 30 blankets to help protect our belongings; they had tape and rope. We had 2-16' PODS, which was ample space for our things, we arrived in El Paso with 23' ABF trailer that still had space in it. The only additional items to this move were the washer/dryer. The packers looked around, then just randomly started putting things in the PODS. I have never seen such a crap show! In the end, we had to give away...1 floor lamp, our safe, the mirror to a dresser, our patio table, a desk, and a few small items. Our vehicles were already packed up. There was plenty of space in the PODS as I could see from the back to the front. But I was told not to worry, they are the professionals. (?) I asked them to make sure to wrap my curio as it was mostly glass. Oh, sorry we have to more blankets. I offered large cardboard sheets to place around it. Once our PODS arrived at our new home, the doors wouldn't open and the load had shifted that much to block it. The team of movers arrived to unload and had to take pictures before they began so to be sure not to be liable for any initial damage that they saw when the PODS were open. They also took pictures as they unpacked it. Yes, it was bad. The placed a table saw against my curio which scratched the finish in various places as the cardboard they used was just crammed in there. They used packing tape to hold doors and drawers closed which caused the finish to come off with the tape. All 6 of my dining room chairs have scratches and gouges, my daughters new bedroom set has scratches/gouges and chunks missing, my refrigerator had deep scratches, Plastic storage bags I used for bedding/blankets/etc. where ripped open- I thought they would use them for cushions, totes were piled so high they collapsed and fell over. The unloading company was in awe when they started and said they were sorry (for something they didn't do) this happened. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND RJS TO ANYONE. IF I HAD THE HELP ON MY OWN, I COULD HAVE DONE A BETTER JOB. WE HAVE MOVED ALOT AND I KNOW HOW IT GOES AND WHAT A GOOD JOB OF PACKING LOOKS LIKE. THIS WAS NOT IT. THEY SUCK!

They charged me 4,000 dollars for essentially losing my pod, charged me $59 dollars for weight tickets (weight tickets only cost 12.50 for one standard use, and even less if you have an account with CAT), and said my the entire weight of my pod was less than 1,700 pounds which is not physically possible. I have filed multiple dispute claims, and they refuse to return my calls. I have called my "costumer advocacy specialist" over 50 times and emailed her dozens of times, and still no reply. They are a scam for military personnel. I could go on about how they shipped my container to its proper location, but wouldn't release it from its storage facility. But, I'm tired of losing thousands of dollars and time to this shameful company.

He called me and screamed at me again threatening me if I reported the incident. First off, the scheduling was quick and easy. They went by my requested days and were able to accommodate them. Let's start with packing. If your command was ran by Liz, Crystal, and Monica. You'd be a five start plus business and your costs to cover for damaged goods would drop down considerably. I'm not kidding. See photos for how careful these girls packed everything. Even my wine glasses made it intact. So far, all ceramics and glass decor I've unpacked has been unscratched. They even wrapped plastic items that could've easily been just dropped in the box. Keep this review in mind when you are doing a performance review (if you do those) and give these girls a raise. Furthermore, one of them should be around when the pickup crew comes to load up the trailer. Pick up crew... My, oh my! First, they tried to reschedule the pickup because of lack of drivers (or something like that). That would've thrown off the rest of my last week in El Paso, including getting my house there ready for upcoming open houses. They sent a crew of two. Apparently from another contracting company. They showed up with no tools and bitching about how the girls should've packed up the furniture, since they were there for loading only. But as any super duper military wife, I had my tools ready. You are welcome. The day was a mess. One guy only went around writing on the inventory and scrutinizing every single dent and scratch my furniture already had. While the others pointed out to him that he wasn't doing anything. One guy disassembled and wrapped items. A third guy showed up later on. At the time I didn't see any poor handling of the furniture, but they did slid some dressers down the steps. Causing some scratches (nothing huge) on the boards. They at least managed not to put any holes on my walls. They did, however, feel comfortable throwing the box spring cover for my sleep number bed into the trailer without any protection. The cover arrived ripped and dirty. After that, all my things went from an eighteen wheeler to a Penske smaller truck. Somewhere between that is when they messed up. From damaging a desk, breaking a $200 dining chair, another not so expensive chair, and damaging some utility carts. I still have about 70 more boxes to unpack and I am hoping everything there is alright. Delivery... I don't remember their names, but these guys were as amazing as the girls. They were careful, professional and on time. They placed the furniture were I wanted it and assembled everything that had been disassembled. Quick and efficient. I was very impressed. It was a pleasure having them around. They guided me on how to fill up the forms for any other damages and whom to sent them to. Took notes of the damaged items. Let me know not to throw away any items and wait for the person in charge to contact me. For the most part, it was a good experience.
