After 4 hours of my insurance company trying to find a company that was open to help us, a guy showed up. Only to tell me that I melted my idler pulley and he can't help me. He did refer me to another company that wasn't open til 8am. HOVIS Truck repair was the name and when the guy finally answered, he was a Godsend!! His first priority was to get us off the road and in a safe place. (Broke on 90east not safe). I asked what the cost was going to be because I was working with limited funds. He said that he wasn't worried about that, we could talk it over later. Oh, by the way, I had a 5'X8' enclosed u hall trailer with me. So HOVIS Truck Repair shows up and tows the truck and trailer back to the shop, runs to another shop for my pulley, replaces it all done in about two hours!! Not only that, total cost INCLUDING the tow was so affoedable. what an amazing company. The driver told us that they "Never say no to a job". AWESOME. Back on the road, get to my sisters house in Massachusetts.We cruise back to Michigan with no issues and safely arrive at her new home at 6am this morning. Y'all think you had a busy weekend. wow, I'm tired from texting this. The bill was $325.00. we called to ask why it was so high, they stated that it was more difficult than expected. NOT sure how difficulty has any to do with $95 an hour price quoted. also the dispatcher hung up on us after stating he had other calls to get without resolving the fee charge. At first he had all kinds of excuses for us why the truck wasn't done, and then all of a sudden he stopped answering or returning our calls. I had to ask a guy from the area to drive by and check on the status of the truck and he sends me a picture of it in the exact same condition we dropped it off in. John had said they got the bed off, put a body on etc... It was all lies. He is nothing but a rotten liar and couldn't even tell the truth that he was too busy or whatever happened. Same thing happened to me drop my truck off in December to have a dump bed put on, gave them a…read more$2000 deposit john finally called in June said it was done after many trips to see what was taking so long and nothing being done, it just sat in the same place where I dropped it off. with many phone calls to john, he gave many excuses as to why it was not done and made many promises. when I went to pick it up , it was not done was told he filed bankruptcy and the gates were to be locked sometime that day,that they had closed their doors and they were not allowed to do any more work and that I needed to removed the truck and the orginal utility bed which they had removed out that day or I would have to wait until bankruptcy court to get it. All I got was a sub frame and the pump he had installed that I had saw he had put on was removed. I had to call a towing company to have the utility bed removed that day. So you would be advised to go elsewhere this company has done nothing but lied and needs to be shut down.
