I came with my two young kids around 3:30 pm. It wasn't busy so we were able to get help immediately! The person working was very friendly and conversational. We tried the newest Marshmallow flavor and it was great! No complaints about the ice cream and service. I will note that the floors could use a cleaning (a little surprising how much food and dirt is on the floor for only being open 3.5 hours, but perhaps there was a rush)z and the tables and chairs could use some fixing up. The good was that the ice cream was fine. That's about it. The servers did not smile a single time to all seven of our party. They had like 10 flavors and most of them were sold out. One person in our party asked for a waffle cone and was completely ignored. Someone asked for one size and was given the opposite. The place was very messy and the tables were all wobbly and dirty. I went into cold stone to order a cake in person and the man who helped me with my order (Ben R) was the general manager of the store. I wrote the pickup and confirmed verbally that the set pick up would be first thing on July 20th when they open. He took my cake order and I left. My MIL gets to the store to pick up the cake and it's not done. The order was hung up for the wrong pick up date. Ben personally calls me and of course I'm frustrated wondering what they are going to do about this, It took me pulling teeth asking over and over on the phone what they were going to do to make this right and after excuse after excuse he says he's going to have his best staff member whip up a cake quickly. I specifically asked if the quality of the cake was still going to be good and not melty and rushed and he said the cake will be frozen and good to go. After my MIL had to miss about 1.5 hours of the party just to wait for this cake, it arrives exactly as suspected. MELTY even after rushing to get it in the freezer before cutting it. We had a cake from this exact same Coldstone a few weeks ago for my other daughter's first birthday that was ROCK solid. No melting, sliding apart, or cosmetic issues so we had something to compare this to. If I knew this is what we'd be getting I would have gotten a refund then and there and headed to my local Walmart for a premade cake. After the party, I filed a complaint through the Coldstone website and receive an email from this same manager, Ben R apologizing for this and saying they would love to issue a full refund and a new cake free of charge. I'm like "Wow, this is amazing!" Well....We get to Spanish Fork Coldstone July 23 for the refund and new cake, and this is the cake Ben pulls out straight from the back for us. This was absolutely absurd. I didn't even see it til we sat in the car since my husband was holding it. It felt like he was actually mocking us by giving us this cake for a very sweet 5 year old girl. If this guy has kids himself he should be ashamed. This is so embarrassing for Coldstone and I cannot believe the back and forth between this store manager from seeming to have no customer service skills, to switching it up through email and acting like he wanted to do right by this, then BACK to serving us this sh*t in the store as a way to resolve this matter. I've never met a more unprofessional individual in my LIFE. I've never seen anything like this come from such a big company either. Ben R has no business being a general manager. The customer service is less than what you would expect from any service business. Every time I have gone here there is never any worker that greets their customers. They are always in the back and you stand there waiting for several minutes before anyone even comes out from back. The workers have never been friendly, they always act like they are bothered by your presence. I have gone in multiple times, and they typically don't have any caramel apples and if they do, they don't have the basic caramel apples for the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory part of their store. read more

We stood in line for 30+ minutes on a Sunday night. There were only two employees working trying to crank out in person orders along with DoorDash orders. The girls working were extremely short tempered with customers. I mean I get it the line is out the door and it's non stop people, so I definitely think management fell short here. We even heard one of the employees say todays her first day and she's only been working a few hours. I don't run the business but why not have one extra person to help while short staffed? There's plenty of ice cream places in SF but this has always been one of our favorites. It's always good ice cream, and their specialty flavors are a real treat. Just because of the nature of the operation, it doesn't take many people before you have a bit of a wait. The staff is always really friendly though. If you don't mind a bit of a wait it's a great place to go for ice cream. If you're in a hurry, you'll probably leave a little frustrated. After tonight's experience at your store, I will never be back. First off, we waiting in like for 30 minutes for ice cream. One girl was working, the other 2 were in the back doing who knows what. There was water running out from behind the counter, to the front lobby. Where a costumer could have EASILY slipped and been injured. When we finally got our ice cream, I handed your employee a gift card. Without even looking at it she told me she can't take it as it doesn't have any numbers on the back to type in. I pointed the numbers out to her and said these? She said yep, I can't run it. By this point it's not even worth it to push the issue. So out of respect for the people in line behind me, I decided to just pay for it. I tap my debit card, answer the question, and stand there waiting for confirmation that my transaction went through. By this time the employee had walked away. I asked her, "did this go through?" And was completely ignored. So I began to walk away at which point she she looks at the register and yells for me to come back because the purchase hadn't gone through, just as I had thought!!!!! What an absolute joke. May I suggest first of all, dealing with the water issue as that's a lawsuit waiting to happen. Also, maybe having some adult supervision at night as this place is out of control!!! read more

We went here because the line was out the door at Handel's. We made the wrong choice. There were 3 workers behind the counter. One went on break. One was working on what I assumed was app/DoorDash orders. The one working on customers in the store was slow, but at least was working. Until the girl who had been on break came back it took her 7 minutes from the time we started counting, to put her phone away, which both of the other employees stopped working to come and see. Normally I don't have a problem with places like this but we hurried over to get a half gallon of ice cream really quick and showed up 8 or so minutes before they closed. Immediately the one employee rolled her eyes and whispered to the cashier prosomething about us coming in right before they closed. We heard the cashier say "we should just tell them we are closed" but I think she saw us watching her say that because she then came and took our order. Very simple order too, half gallon of sweet cream with no add ins. Another couple walked in behind us at 8:55 and the first employee rolled her eyes, said "oh my gosh!" Loud enough for everyone to hear and then ran in the back of the store. She then went to turn off the open sign so that we people wouldn't continue coming in. Overall, poor attitudes from both employees and they didn't even fill up our half gallon so we overpaid. I'm a college student so I don't really have a ton of money to go blow on Cold Stone Ice cream all the time. I love it but it's a special occasion treat as such I really don't have the same problem as the reviewers below because I usually go to with a group and in that case it's completely understandable that we have a little bit of a wait and in addition to that we eat it there so waiting a couple minutes to get it when you are with friends isn't too bad. I have always had great cakes from Coldstone, and have ordered many over the years. However this time it was not. I ordered a custom cake for my daughters 22nd birthday. When I got the cake home, it LOOKED TERRIBLE. The writing was awful, and they had clearly made a mistake and tried to wipe it off, smearing it everywhere. The ganache topping did not cover the ice cream, and big gaping holes were visible. Almost like several pieces broke off and they just took them off or something. It really was embarrassing to have that as the birthday cake for our party. If I am paying $27 for a small cake I at least want it to look good. It did taste good though. read more

The flavored ice cream that I love is Birthday cake. Their sides are different treats like Gummy bears and Chocolate chip. There cones are like Waffle cones, or suger cones. They have different cakes for celebration. It's a good places to go with your family . They don't charge by the pound. The first time I went was on my birthday last year. We usually go once a week for a treat or celebration. I usually get birth day cake, but every time I go I get different flavors like Mint Chocolot chip ice cream. They have tables inside and outside and have a refrigerator to keep the cakes in. You can get Waffle cones and different flavored ice cream if you want to. If you tip over your cone your ice cream will fall over like it did to me. read more

I was ok with standing in line for ten minutes but when I order off the wall menu only to be told they can't make it because ingredients are out of stock... until next month?? Come on how hard would it be to take 20 seconds to write a note saying we're out of cookie dough?? The couple in front of us ordered and was told "sorry... we can't make that because it's been out of stock for 6 months... we keep ordering it but they haven't sent it yet." I watched 1/2 of the line walk out without ordering after being told the items they wanted weren't available. I could understand if they were asking for some weird concoction but they were all items at the top of the menu. It's frustrating and just bad customer service. Even if an item was going to be unavailable for a day or two you should take a minute and put up a notice next to the menu. If an item is out of stock until next month or even worse for several months and you can't take the time to write a notice and post it on the wall???
