Closed ten minutes earlier than Store hours. Didn't even look up when we tried to open the door.

My family stopped by this location on Monday evening. Everyone was eating their ice cream when the young man on duty started putting the cones in a big tote without wearing gloves.Every couple of ones he put away he was taking bites of them. Then we watched in horror as the the young lady on duty was cleaning the glass in front of the ice cream and pulled the glass open and sprayed window cleaner and it went all over the ice cream. Oh my goodness! Every bit of ice cream was contaminated. And they were turning out lights and acting if they were closed but we looked on the door and it said 9 but it was only 8. I called the store the next day and talked to the manager and he just blew me off and hung up on me when I told him I would not return to this location. Obviously he doesn't value repeat customers. This was the best cold stone experience I have ever had. We stopped in while on a day trip and ordered two gotta have it sized chocolate cake batter ice creams (my FAVORITE flavor, which can be difficult to find in some cold stones). I didn't come before the ownership changed, so I don't really have a comparison for that, but my experience here tonight was nothing short of excellent. I didn't catch her name, but the girl behind the counter was incredibly sweet and assisted me with redeeming my BOGO reward from signing up for the rewards club. It absolutely makes the experience when you can chat with the person behind the counter and can see clearly that they care. I will absolutely return here again! read more

Cashier was simultaneously ringing up customers bringing out new waffle cones and eating crumbs off the counter, never had gloves on, and the ice cream cone maker opened the front of the ice cream case, sprayed windex on the glass and sloppily wiped it clean while our party of 6 sat eating ice cream and some other customers. She then proceeded to rush around cleaning other glass with the windex and the they turned the open sign off as if they were closing. We hurried and left thinking we must have been there at closing time and looked at the hours posted on the window when we went out and they didn't close until 9 pm. It was shortly after 8 pm. My main concern was the overspray from the windex landing on the open containers of ice cream. The young girl was oblivious and obviously untrained. When someone in my party called today to speak with the manager he blew her off stating the situation had been addressed. When told we would never return the manager said thank you and have a nice day. No apologies, nothing. Our only thought was that this could be a training opportunity and because there were cameras everywhere their behavior would be easy to confirm. But the manager acting as if it were no big deal is crazy. My money is too hard to come by and there are many other options for dessert. I am choicy about where I spend my money and this evidently was not a good choice. read more
