The most disgusting Coldstone I've been to. Went for ice cream with my daughter but also stopped by the restroom for her. It was the most disgusting, unsanitary bathroom and toilet I've ever seen! I could not believe it was open for use to their customers.. Not to mention all of their ice cream was melted and the entire store just looked extremely dirty! The older women in the holmdel cold stone is beyond rude! I've been there a few times because I have received coupons. And she always has a reason why they can't take that particular coupon. Last time is because I had a coupon from an email not a phone number. I explained I never gave a phone number I always used a email and the coupon was emailed to me. She didn't want to hear it. They do have a big sign outside by the front door with rules. One of the rules is to have a mask covering your mouth and nose. I walked in she had the mask covering her mouth only. And she was not wearing gloves while making sundaes, she was also collecting money. We will not be visiting this store again. Gave it a star because no choice read more

We used to the yelp deal which makes cold stone so much more affordable. ice cream is creamy, close to a gelatto texture. i love the chunkiness of the toppings mixed in with the ice cream. Went here one time with a gift card a few weeks ago. I got one of the special things that had strawberries, funnel cake, ice cream and whipped cream. It was so good. I like ice cream, especially extremely overpriced ice cream. It came out to ~$5, but I used a gift card, so it was essentially free..for me. One down side is, as someone else mentioned, the employees just wear street clothes. It was not very "professional"..but not like a job there would be professional. One up side is that there is extremely ample parking. It is at the edge of the plaza and there is nothing important near it. I have never had a bad experience at this location. Not only has everyone always been patient and helpful, they are peanut friendly! This is the only place my daughter can order hard ice cream in the area. And, she can get toppings! We started ordering cakes from here about 8 years ago because we knew they were safe. The ice cream was good but the service was terrible. There is a older women mid 60's that works at this location and treats customers with totally disrespect. She does not even try to be kind to the customers if anything she enjoys talking to customers in rude and condescending tones. I love their ice cream but I am giving them 2 stars because of the incident that happened with Groipon. I have purchased same deal from groupon before. 3 $10 vouchers for $17. Went there bought $15 worth of ice cream and was told I need to buy $20 worth of ice cream before I can use a $10 voucher. Before I would just add the difference. So I said Ill add a pint..Lady said no cant buy that with the groupon. I just paid the money and returned vouchers to Groupon. I even asked Groupon if I misunderstood the conditions of the vouchers and I was told no. Its a shame because I love their ice cream although today it was melting all over the place, and I find the Groupon deal is really good. But I will not purchase anymore. The fact that I looked online and their hours said they were open until 10:00 and then get there and the sign even states that they close at ten and we get there and the girl says they're closed and it's 9:30! I can't stand places that do this! We all work and have an end time it doesn't mean you can close early because you want to go home! I was just in the store with my family literally 30 minutes ago. The woman behind the counter was so rude, rolling her eyes as my young children ordered and clearly surly and annoyed to even be there. We also tried to use a gift card that my daughter won for a school reading challenge and she told us it didn't work and there was no money on it. As soon as we left, we called and checked it and it WAS working and there WAS $20.00 on it. Get together Cold Stone lady! 2 nights in a row that the customer service was atrocious and they treat customers with allergies terribly because they have to make allergy orders in the back. Workers are unmotivated and moping around waiting for their shift to end. The ice cream is very good but the experience is so bad I'm not sure we can go back. Where's the fudge? Ice cream is tasty but they are too skimpy on toppings. Extra toppings are almost $1.00 but they aren't toppings they are mix- ins so you don't know the teaspoon worth that you are getting. People work hard for their $ and if they get toppings they want to taste it in each bite. When you spend almost $10.00 on 2 small ice creams with fudge and 1 also had sprinkles u want to be excited by all the flavor. The small cup is 4.05. On a good note the ice cream is rich and creamy and the cake batter is awesome. Cant argue with the quality and they fill the cups. Its always busy too. I love Cold Stone and when I moved less then 5 minutes down the road from one I was so excited! However, the Holmdel location owned by David Topolewki has ruined that for me. My first issue started when their costumer loyalty system was "down" and I was unable to use my buy one get one free after signing up for the loyalty program. I brushed it off as the system down it happens whatever. I retuned again, this time the system was working but my coupon wasn't there. Okay fine move on again it's technology. Once I got home my fiancé found a hair in his ice cream. We went back to the store and requested a refund. The employee Debbie refused a refund, after push back she grabbed my receipt threw it in the trash and gave me my money back. I requested the receipt which she refused, she said she needed to keep it. Once I pointed out she threw it in the trash she reached in the trash took it out put it in the drawer and went back to making orders. She did not wash her hands nor do employees wear gloves at this establishment. No gloves, no hair nets, no hand washing. Disgusting! I reported the incident to the owner who supported the employee and her actions as well as defended the hair found stating "it happens in food establishments." Sad to say I will absolutely not support an owner such as David. Personal hygiene and customer service should be of top priority in an establishment especially at this time of day. Ive been to this place a handful of times and have used a $5 gift certificate from restaurant.com more than once. The woman who said she is the manager was working each time and is not friendly at all. Instead of greeting you with something like "hi, how can I help you?" or "what can I get you?" she responds "what do you want?" and acts like she is being bothered. When it came time to pay with the $5 gift certificate the cellphone was handed to her to redeem the code. She pushes buttons and hands it back saying its not there. So we looked in the restaurant.com app and pulled up 'used' codes and there it is with that same date. Showed her that she already redeemed it and she said the redeem time was exactly one hour earlier, down to the minute. The time in the app was in central time zone and not eastern time. She accused us of using the code one hour earlier and coming back to use it again... exactly one hour later. The code is only for that one location and we had an emailed receipt from restaurant.com with the time of purchuse occurring after the time she accused us of being there to use it. She would rather throw out my ice cream that was prepared instead of selling it to us and lose customers instead of using common sense... What kind of store manager is that? read more

Stopped in to get ice cream to go. Not only was it packed with young kids but one of the kids (i guess an employee) went from a table to directly into the working line and started dishing ice cream for his friends. Came in today with a group of family and were treated to absolutely terrible customer service by one of the workers (the older woman). The other girl, younger with brown hair, was super helpful and friendly with our group. This older woman however told us to get out of the way and proceeded to help customers that had arrived much after our small group before all of us got to put in our order. Been to many cold stones and ice cream places in general and never had this happen. However, she was very rude about it telling us "to move out of the way for the other girls". Then when we tried to ask for a quick sample of a flavor her response was "I'm not helping your group" to my elderly grandmother. Why not just scoop the sample or say it without an attitude. Other than that, ice cream was expensive but delicious (as with any cold stone). If I could give it 0 starts I would. They ruined my sons birthday party. After I spent hours picking out the perfect picture for his cake with my son, and hyped him up about how great his cake was going to be, the cake was not ready in time for his party. Instead of taking pictures with his awesome birthday cake we had to improvise with a single cupcake and candle. He is 6 today and had 40 of his friends at his party and no cake. My husband had to leave the party to pick up the cake which the owner personally promised to deliver due to the fact that the cake would not be ready in time and he never came. By the time my husband returned with the finished cake half of his friends had left and I was left with a full sheet of ice cream cake and no one to serve it to. The owner then proceeded to send me a lengthy nasty text message refusing to take the cake back and saying that since it is a franchise I could complain to corporate but ultimately he would be the one with the review and frankly he didn't care. There was only a child left at the front counter when my husband went to pick up the cake and she was all alone in the store. The owner was no where to be found at that time until after the party was over when the nasty onslaught of text messages started. PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS OWNER DAVE. Coldstone cake is delicious but worth the extra trip to Eatontown to not have the hassle of dealing with the incompetence and unprofessionalism if this branch. terrible ordered a birthday speciality birthday cake there cost a small fortune for a cake the size of a luvs cake from carvel.. the cake tasted as of it was in the freezer for weeks total waste of money !! the place was also dirty as can be.. the door the showcase window was so disappointed !! go anywhere else as this place is not worth your money.. also found out they keep their shelf cakes for six weeks crazy still paying top dollar for a six week old cake ? to many other ice cream places around to choose this one you have to be crazy.. read more
