I have ordered their custom cakes for the past two family birthdays from this place and they were okay but I tried to redeem a reward on my account today and they didn't have a working machine able to access it. The server apologized and said she had worked there a year and didn't know how to redeem the reward. So their rewards program is worthless at this location. read more

A general thing I look for at ice cream places is how clean it is! This one wasn't super clean or super busy, so I wish it were more on the spotless level. I had the oreo double chocolate which is a seasonal item, except I got it with dark chocolate rather than chocolate ice cream. It was super sweet! The chocolate devotion with brownies, choco chips, and fudge, is good but super sweet as well. If you have a major sweet tooth and just love diabetes and sugar, then you will love cold stone! However I'm more of a froyo type of girl. However, I will say the mango smoothie is really light and refreshing! read more

This location of Cold Stone is very disappointing in it's consistency and customer service. In my family we love our ice cream and we usually go once a month as a family outing. Every time we have been there in the past year has been a "bang your head against a wall and pray it gets better" experience. First of all, the customer service is HIGHLY lacking. Either these young girls and boys have not been taught the proper way to talk to customers or they just don't give a hoot. More than once I have asked a staff member a question or said "excuse me?" to get their attention only to have them disappear to the back and never return. I have also been very specific about how I wanted a certain ice cream (I was spoiled by one of their older female staff members, that made our ice cream perfectly), only to have them royally mess it up. Lastly, I had a phone experience that made wish I had never called. Called in to ask if they found a purse (I'm dumb and I lose my purse, wallet, brain all the time). The girl never said, "thank you for calling..blah blah," instead it was a lost sounding, "hello?" So I give her the spiel about losing my purse and if they found it. The entire conversation that followed was basically her talking to herself and her trying to get me off the phone. Luckily, the place that did find my purse called me the next day. All in all, the ice cream is great (when well made), but the staff needs to go to customer service boot camp. read more

Disgusting. Very dirty location. Food left all over the counters and the floor is so dirty black has settled into the grout.

I went into this ice cream shop the other day because I was looking for a nice frozen treat to beat the sweltering heat. Unfortunately, when I walked in I noticed about a roach or two crawling around the back counter. It was absolutely sickening, I lost my appetite and promptly left the establishment. Came in for a lunch ice cream craving. The service was really nice & quick. Typical coldstone. No complaints here. Plus, they usually have coupons in the local mailer at this location which is a plus. They are offering frozen yogurt which I must try soon. read more

As a person who's loved ice cream for a very long time, I was ecstatic to find out when there was a cold stone built close to me. I've been going there since it opened and as time has progressed, I've noticed how things have changed and that they get very busy very quick and have long lines a lot. I've never had a problem with it because as someone who's worked in food service I understand how hard it is to get things done quickly, it never bothers me to wait and I see how they work as a team to keep up with the things that need to be done. I love that they hire younger girls because it shows them a level of responsibility and I think that's great that they're teaching that. Although, with younger girls there tends to be gossip but they've been very nice to me and helpful. I go there as much as possible and I love it! read more

This is the worst cold stone we have ever been to. They are never consistent and always seem like its a hassle to make your order. I was here tonight after saying I would never go back to this location (I return cause its the only one close to us). I ordered 2 "love it". When we got home and removed them from the bag it looked like my husbands was a (got have it) and mine was a (like it). Mine was only filled half way on top of that. Since we were out and about, my husband decided to treat our kids to ice cream. He likes ice cream so much that he can't be as discerning regarding ice cream establishments. Well, I can. If you've followed my reviews in the past, you know that I believe in shopping locally and supporting our local economy. However, I do have my limits and this particular Cold Stone Creamery tested most of them. From the bathroom being dirty and not working properly; to dirty conditions (counters, tables, floors, etc.); and 2-3 employees but really only 1 who actually was waiting on customers. What? As I sat among the cramped space filled with dirty tables that appeared to have not been cleaned recently, I wondered how this store could possibly have the foot traffic it did that afternoon. I had to chalk it up to the sweltering heat and everyone's desperation for ice cream. Honestly, this store needs some serious deep cleaning. read more

This is not my first choice for ice cream in the area, namely because of the price and the employees. Most of the flavors I have tried here are quite delicious, but I suggest that you sample them before committing to one because I have found some of them to be too rich for my tastes. Some nights the place is calm and everything is smoothly run, but other times I have seen 4 or 5 high school aged girls working with the one "in charge" being no older than 18. This would be fine except that on several occasions the place was a free for all. There were what I figured to be off duty employees walking behind the counter and making themselves ice cream and leaving while people were trying to order, employees gossiping with non-customer friends at the end of the counter and holding up the long line...drove me crazy. I think the simple solution is to avoid this place on the weekends and it will be just fine. read more

A suprise birthday ruined thanks to the rudest owner/manager I have ever come across. Ordered a cake online, before ordering called the store to confirm that it would be ready in 23 hours not 24 (as advised online) was told wouldn't be a problem. Came to pick up the cake the cake wasn't ready. The owner/manager Michael got on the phone and told me he was planning to come in an hour to finish my cake and that it wasn't his fault that his employe said it would be ready. Mind you minimal apologies or options to remedy the situation. When I asked for a refund he told me that it would be done online since I ordered it online, even though the confirmation came from the store and clearly stated that if I have any questions to call the store. After talking to him on the phone and explaining that I either expected to leave the store with my order or my money he told me " LOOK LADY I will refund your money online", no apologies no remedies no money. I will be taking this up further but please save your money and your energy as this supposed happy place is pure nightmare. ps I believe he manages the sterling location as well read more

I took my two kids here over the past weekend. The place was a zoo but that was understandable, it was a nice day with lots to do in Atlas. The store itself is small so it makes the line reach the door pretty fast. However all of the girls behind the counter did a great job keeping the line moving at a reasonable pace. We had two girls serve us, they were incredibly helpful with my children and patient! Considering my one kid didn't know what he wanted even after standing in a long line and he had a nut allergic so they have to make it special for him in the back. The place has a great environment with great customer service. One of the girls was replacing the ice-cream and the men behind me were complaining, but I understood there is a lot to be done besides serving ( I sister worked at an ice-cream place one summer). And I was also pleased when they said "Thank you" when I left a tip, most places will pretend like they didn't see me drop the money in (at least in my experience). I would come back every weekend if we had the time, but we will be making trips here again soon. read more
